If you want something from Kohl’s and the don’t sell it in store (and I know Kohl’s has kinda pricey shipping rates compared to other sites) order it in store at their Kiosk and they’ll ship it to your house for free, and you can still input coupons and stuff.

I think you just had a misunderstanding with the shipping terms. Overnight shipping just means that they get your order together and ship it from their warehouse overnight. Overnight delivery is what you thought it would be. Two very different things

Hi mia! Just wanted to let you know that (im pretty sure atleast) overnight shipping actually means that they 'ship' the order to you overnight, and then the delivery will take however many days! Overnight delivery would be what you're looking for :)

Exactly like I've had my PayPal account hacked before so I understand being nervous because PayPal definitely isn't sending you anything... BUT why did THEY need her ID to make sure it was her & why did they only send something through email? They could have at least put a little notification saying her order was on hold our something so she knew it was them.

Buy the dollar prepaid cards and know what you want and how much it costs and put however much it totals out to be on it and after ordering just cut it up and trash it! That’s what I do, so that it doesn’t keep charging my credit card. Works every time!

There usually is but some areas are just easier to ship things to in general so depending on where you live regular shipping sometimes might not actually take longer than faster shipping. I've had that happen but it's because of my location.

Overnight shipping means it SHIPS OVERNIGHT. Not gets delivered overnight, 😢
@Ghosty, they have to pack everything into a box, print labels and get it on a truck or plane that will go to your area (this process is what they call 'shipping.') This might take a day or two.
They will then bring it to your nearest delivery hub (ie. FedEx, DHL, UPS, USPS, etc.)
Essentially when you get overnight shipping, you are priority, meaning they will box up and ship your stuff first, before they do any orders that paid regular shipping.

I’ve ordered express from ASOS and I got in I think like 3-4 days I think. But I got charged a ton of customs, and when they ship express they ship with DHL who have like $20 in extra fees.

I work for wayfair and it is not possible to express ship to Canada from the US. You should never pay express shipping it will not work because it has to go through customs which can take up to two business days.

The delay in the fashion nova order may have been due to the customs.
You mention on day 2 that DHL said you had to pay $40. So it reached Canada quite fast.
(Maybe also a couple of minutes before 1pm was not sufficient for the next day delivery.)
So......they didn’t send it out to you from customs until you had paid. Which worked out as 3/4 days in the end.
It's just overnight shipping not overnight delivery for fashion nova so they ship the item but won't be delivered until however long but it gets shipped overnight

As a fellow Canadian who loves online shopping, this was very helpful for me and would love to see more brands. I love online shopping but I also love instant gratification so the shipping is very tricky for me.

Over night shipping isn't over night delivery. It just means they send it out before the next day. What happens once it leaves them is out of there control. UPS or USPS stick with there own schedule.
Also, if the email mentioned PayPal you can send it to their spoof department just in case since they mentioned their company. :)

My roommate ordered postmates a few weeks ago & it took over an hour for some sonic but if she cancelled they would have charged her like $30 or something & they didnt say anything about a refund for her money so she just waited. Actually she was about 2 seconds from getting in her car & picking it up herself when they finally decided to head our way & then it still took 30 minutes when it said 10
I love door dash. I order it to work all the time. It only take about 30ish minutes for me. The other day I accidentally ordered it to my house instead of work and they have me a credit for my food but since it was already picked up by the time customer service and I figured everything out they just delivered as well so i got two for the price of one. Hey Mia! So I work at a small company and I manage product distribution. Basically when we get the orders it lets us know if it’s low, medium, or high risk for fraud. If it’s high risk we have to get an ID from whoever purchased so we can verify it’s them. It definitely seems sketch but it’s to protect you!

When their video has been classified as demonetized it means it goes against UA-cams rules and regulations and because UA-cam also makes money from videos they can't make money from videos that break their rules, so they won't allow the youtuber to make money from it either. It's a pretty complex system they have going.

Hey Mia ! Same thing happened to me with Shein, because my order was quite big and pricey so it actually made sense that they would want to be sure I had actually placed it myself. In the end, seeing as they just wanted to check my identity I sent a copy of my ID showing only my face and name and blackened the rest of the info. It did feel sketchy at the time but in the end it really was ok. Hope this helps !

You're right! With pretty much any company that ships things, whether it's clothes, makeup, etc. Companies generally take 1-2 business days to process an order to the warehouse and then that's when the shipping time comes in to play (so if you order an item on Monday the 15th and choose overnight shipping it should arrive by the 18th) if you ordered it on a Friday it would be different (I worked at a call center for a shipping company for a while lol)
I work at Hollister, the reason why sometimes it takes longer is it depends where it comes from, sometimes the package comes from the warehouse and other times stores who might have it in stock will package it and send it, so it just really depends where it’s coming from.

In UK (at least where I am) you can order prime stuff before noon and get it the same day by like 8 pm

The SHEIN email was definitely fraud cause they started off with Dear Customer instead of saying your name. I just recently learned this at my job so I hope that helps, also I love your videos. I could watch them all day ❤️
I used to work in the fraud department at a major credit card and that email sounds SUPER sketchy. I have heard of businesses placing a hold on the order if they believe it is fraudulent or suspicious but wanting a photo id just doesnt sound right to me. I feel their "fraud department" would have called and verified the order with you.
I think you did the right thing for not sending them information because you do not know who or what hands that information could've been place in! If they canceled the order, then maybe it was a legit concern on their end, but should be handled different. You also could have called the company directly and asked them about the email you received.
One thing to think about is if you read the fine print for brands that offer overnight shipping, usually it says something about it taking a couple days to prepare the shipment. Once it's shipped its supposedly overnight, but I've had this happen to me before where it took them a few days before actually shipping my order.
