I love this idea! If I get a fragrance that isn’t an immediate love, I always let it sit for a while before I make a final decision. Creating videos about your experience after giving fragrances time to macerate is an awesome concept!
I pray that Ansaam Gold changes - as it is, I really, really, REALLY dislike it. I just bought it about two weeks ago. That bottle, so beautiful! I am heartbroken that the fragrance is so powdery, and it chokes me out. Same with that Delina dupe by Armaf, Imperiale. Beautiful when first sprayed, but then the choke-y powder kicks in. I do love the smell of cosmetic powder, like in a compact(I believe this is iris), but not this type of dusty, chokey, talcum powder. If I had known they were powdery, I definitely would NOT have purchased as I absolutely hate, hate , HATE powdery scents.😢
I perfectly understand you. Hope they change over time so you can enjoy them. I guess sometimes they might just not work too and teaches us what we do not like. Thanks for sharing your experience ❤️
I own infini rose and after a month, yess it bcome my fav frag from lttafa after khamrah.i got couple compliment from women when i go to dinner last night.
@@adwoalovesfragrances5324 thanks for ur kind reply, sister. I still waiting for my ebony fume.maybe it will arrive at sunday. Here in indonesia all clones frag are pretty cheap. Anyway god bless u and having good day sist👍👍
I love affect effect it’s been macerating for a long time since last year. I didn’t like it then it was too light.. but now!! Damn Compliment getter this summer I have been using it a lot.. I have a backup bottle..
I wonder if the effect of maceration is really the fragance or oneself that changes... but it is real. I bought Lattafa Ishq Al Shuyuq Silver and Gold, and both were TERRIBLE the first day I sprayed them... 3 weeks later Im starting to smell completely different, beautiful fragrances.
I smelled a strong gasoline scent from ishq al shuyukh gold. I've had it for about 2 wk now. It's gotten better, but there's still a mild gasoline scent. Was that what you experienced with the gold? I'm hoping the longer it sit, the gas smell will completely go away.
The idea of maceration is to allow the alcohol to evaporate. Arabian perfumes have no alcohol so the perfume does not need to macerated. I agree it may get thicker and may mellow it out but a perfume will not get any stronger in fragrance
That's a little surprising to me. Mine lasts 12 hours + especially on clothes. When I wear ot to bed it remains in the nightie for days. Maybe you should allow it to macerate. ❤️
@@adwoalovesfragrances5324 ohhh i hope u r right because im obsessed with this perfume i love it sooo much but really 1st time im having this issue with arab perfume i think u t définit elysee right i will let it maturate ..thank you you are à lovely woman smart and beautiful
Some fragrances sure need time to maturate. For some I think your nose and taste need to mature. Some fragrances I loved at first sniff, couple months later I couldn't stand. Many I didn't care at all as t first sniff, in few months I started to like a lot. And not all of them changed so much.
I have gotten quite a few fragrances that have only gotten better as they've macerated. I'm truly enjoying them. Great video! 💖💖💖
Great to hear! Learning not to write fragrances off after first sniff. Maceration is a must.
Thanks dear ❤

Agree! Same here 😊
Thank you Amber. I am making it into a series so I can give some update.
Glad to have you here
❤
Adwoa, Thank you for your video fragrance update. I am still considering Ramz Gold, but think I will get a decant of Infini Rose to test.
Good choice 👍

Same feeling here. I hated the Imperiale and waiting for the Assam to change for the better with fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Allow them to sit for a while really helps fragrances to macerate. The longer the better.

Perfumes, when allowed to sit, indeed do change, especially for Middle Eastern perfumes in my experience 👍
Efolia really have some great Value fragrances you know
I never paid attention to the brand. Intrigued. Will try more
Thanks Kwesi ❤
Interesting concept 🤔
Thanks Claire ❤
My worse perfume even after maceration is L’Autre Oud by Lattafa, it has a skunky oud that I do not enjoy.
I have not tried that yet. You win some and some loses I guess 😟
Ansaam is soooo addictive but really im so upset because ot last pnly 1hour ..and all my arab perfumes last soo longer
