Why did all the Defqon.1 2015 mixes suddenly vanished on Soundcloud and the Q-dance soundcloud?
In case you never figured this out, Q-Dance and Soundcloud had a dispute over licensing (Q-Dance doesn't own the music they published there) and so Q-Dance took down all their Soundcloud stuff in protest. They've moved all of their stuff onto Mixcloud, although Mixcloud doesn't have nearly as nice of an organizational layout.
It doesn't help as an American, a third of the Q-Dance stuff on Mixcloud is blocked anyways because of our crap ass laws. (The law is that if you're not a label or the artist themselves then you can only post a song twice before the song is blocked - it doesn't impact most sets but occasionally it does, particularly NEXT and Magic Show)
I had a playlist of 200+ sets on my soundcloud and one day, I go on, and gone. You could probably imagine how I felt after spending so much time, listening and enjoying different kinds of mixes and to suddenly be gone. I can't even find mixes that I know existed. I tried searching for them on YT, MC, and Spotify. It's such a shame that this had to happen. I felt like shit that week. Magic show has not posted anything in the last month which sucks because they usually post things every week on Mondays.
***** Q-Dance has been posting Magic Show sets this month into Mixcloud, not as good as SoundCloud but still. I know the feeling also, trust me. But check out the "Euphoric Hardstyle" playlist by Jonathan Stockhaus on Spotify it has days worth of stuff. If you're a fan of the Blue or Silver stages etc. I don't know any good Spotify playlists tho
Wow, thank you for that. I love Euphoric more than anything tbh. I honestly hate MX. You can't even rewind which sounds stupid but is frustrating.
