The channel number identifier (diamond shaped) would also later appear in the 1990 closedown, while 2:45 with the image of Singapore would also later appear in the 1991 version of the national anthem 4. Hi Hafiz.can you upload the SBC 5/8 startup idents from 1984 and 1985?I enjoyed watching them during my Christmas Vacations in Singapore back in 1984 and 1985-the 1984 idents were very creative with the Malay and English versions featuring the announcers in the tv control room while the Chinese and Tamil versions showed the announcers in front of TV show recordings(the former was a recording of a periodical drama while the latter was a recording of a traditional dance show).But the 1985 idents were even more creative.

Unfortunately, recordings are done from his camera (mobile phone, just lik uploads from Vasantham/Arts Central and SBC/TCS 8 from 1994). Is it okay if I upload those? And also, not gonna lie that I agree with your statement on 1984/1985 SBC idents. My favourites were the years of transition from SBC to TCS, especially Ch. 5 and Ch. 12, Ch. 8 weren't bad though, especially their 1994 and 1995 ident jingle. BTW, is it the different jingle like ladies singing 'SBC'? SBC has three jingles (1984 like you've mentioned (more like the early 80s since SBC started in 1980), late 80s and 1991) if I not mistaken. and for my correction, February 1988 is not the date Singapore TV service started. It's 15 February 1963 when the first television station in Singapore, Television Singapura, was launched. It merged with Radio Singapura to form Radio and Television Singapore (RTS) following Singapore's independence on 9 August 1965.
