I think for once the boys are wearing the right foundation, I don't see any whitewash, the foundation finally matches their skin tone, thank you good job makeup artist.
Seems like they went for a more natural look in general. You can see more of their freckles that are otherwise usually covered up. I think it's nice :)
I think Seonghwa is still wearing a shade tad cooler than his skin, but at least on the jawline and around the sides of his face the tone seems ok. :)

basically, triangle love is a typical kdrama trope. either 2 boys going for the girl, or vice versa. there are the first lead, the character in which the story revolves around them, and the second lead, a rival/best friend of the 1st lead. in kdrama triangle love, mostly the 1st and 2nd lead has the same crush, but the said crush always ended up with the 1st lead. a prime example is the drama true beauty. suho is the 1st lead and seojun is the 2nd lead. in imitation, kwonryuk and maha are the 1st leads, and yunho aka yujin plays the 2nd lead
there are fans who root for the 1st lead to get the crush (aka the girl in true beauty and imitation) and there are those who want the 2nd lead to get the girl. but most of the times, the 1st lead wins cause.... well, they're called the 1st lead. also, usually, the 2nd lead is more caring and is better in every way than the 1st lead, but the girl would choose the 1st lead anyway
