Ridden like a sports-bike makes for more fun(You Know-knee out hang off a little). You can surprise some riders out there. I kept up(sort of) with my friend on his new K5 thou on my K2 B12 back in 2006(I bought the Gixxer off him later in 06). Still got both Bikes.
Probably would have seen you over summer, me and my group have been everywhere, Porthmadog, Bala, Barmouth, Snowdon, etc. Sunny day and we're out pretty much. The pace is a bit faster than this video, main reason why I don't upload as much. Ragging the tits out of a bandit to keep up with s1000rrs and a Yamaha R1 😃😃😃
For a first bike you can't really go wrong, they've got lots of top end power and will keep you happy for a good year or two. They do weigh a lot (especially if coming off a 125), but compared to most other big bikes it isn't noticeable. Engines can be noisy, but it's really down to the age of the original design, which is from the late 80s. Little bit of ticking when revving that isn't audible when riding is fine, anything more and might have an exhaust leak or valves need adjusting. Also the collector box where it joins 4 into 1 rusts very easily on all of them. Mine has been off the road for a couple of weeks getting it welded, you know when it goes cause it rattles like fuck and blows everywhere. Look for a good condition MK2, or 650 version. MK1s that haven't been molested are hard to find nowadays. Put a loud can on it and it's the best thing ever. I've bought a 2009 GSXR 750 for my next bike, although it's currently sitting in the garage. I ought to make a quick video on it.
@@swoogles4093 thanks mate very helpful. I had bikes before but not on the road What a bandit for couple years then 1 want the gsxs750. Will there be videos of your gsxr at some point
On the 600 look for fringed rear shock.and frame rust around the welds.dont wory about the engine....try and get a standard looking one..has anything else can be trouble
@@banditbeggers533 try and avoid buying one with the twin headlights fitted.there useless.has a standard round headlights are hard to find.look good but beams crap with twin lights
Looking back at this footage it does bug me how slow I took that corner lol, I remember that ride being cold as fuck and the roads slightly greasy cause it was February.
Next time go from the lake where you started to bleaneau Ffestiniog over the top... You'll like the twistis... Loads of bikers go there... Its very good and nice scenery
Have you driven the Bandit 1200 once? They have a lot of torque in the low rpm range. I came from a GS500 so it's a very big differance and right after getting the Motorcycle A license.
Unfortunately not. I've heard they are just all torque and power wheelie easily in the low gears. And they only have 5 gears, which is slightly unusual.
@@swoogles4093 I think the Bandit 1200 is close or at 100nm of torque and same horsepower. Really easy to get Power wheelie, especially in the first gear.
Obviously this woz before the whole of Wales had a 20 mph speed limit 😂
Man I love bandits. You can't beat the sound and I love how they handle

My father in 2010 had a black susuki bandit 600 and he rode it through the streets of England
Y’a pas de doute les vieilles bécane , quelle song !!
I do this road all the time. I love in Porthmadog, and have exactly the same bandit wtf!!!

I’m looking at getting a bandit next year as first big bike. Anything to look out for. Love the bandit 600

Nice ride
Meu sonho....
Cant wait to get my hands on a bandit, have done this road a few times in my mr2 but its not the same haha
Nice. Just wrote off an astra VXR the other day, not my fault but it's still sad. Dunno what to get next
Nice saound! Wich handlebar is it? It seems a little tilted down, as in more sporty position, I like it!
Ride at your pace. Moto jitsu
Dude on the bandit you can take the corner at 2:36 at 60mph easy, also get a bit more lean on it as the corner deserves it! :D
