Does anyone appreciate this presentation of car in this format? For me this is weird, I liked the old school format better where all 3 parked and celebrated with their teams. This dazzling screen in 90 degrees just feels stupid. At one point even the commentators remarked it was dark there.
I think they could do away with some of this stuff. The screen under the car doesn't really even look that good, because it puts the car and driver in a silhouette.

Certainly the organizers recognize that both the angle that the car had to take as well as the non-fixed ramps (and placement, like why make it so difficult for the driver?) make this a poor idea. Give the driver a straight path to get on your fancy screen.

If they are gonna do that sort of display, just taper the edge.. like a driveway apron .... or wheel chair access lol. you dont put a temporary loading ramp that's not buckled down.. the amount of torque in the rears is insane , esspecially in that low gear . as we saw lol... sad part is people all over the interwebs were saying "max cant even drive up a ramp right... what a "great" driver" ..... without realizing the skill it takes to manuever that car in that tight of a spot at that slow of a speed without stalling it.
Standing in front of the platform does not seem too smart either, had the ramp not shot out, the car may have lurched farther forward. Very hard to inch an F1 car up a ramp.
This is the stuff that annoys me. As max was driving up the ramp I could see it was a bad idea. If a team or driver caused something this unsafe they would be penalized or fined. How about a fine for the person who approved this stupid idea. Maybe they need a public shaming and a week off from work. I mean, a F1 car on a ramp? What could go wrong?
This reminds me of the Top Gear/Grand Tour episodes where Clarkson, Hammond & May have to use makeshift ramps and river crossings, except they’re always traveling cross country in near clapped out old bangers. This is F1 doing a good job of making a fool of themselves here.

I'm an American and we have so many wonderful tracks but they want to go to Miami and Las Vegas before Barber, Laguna (which would need changes for f1), and Watkins glen
