As someone who has been watching Asian TV series and movies for a long time, I can say that it was definitely the best Chinese TV series I have watched. Both the subject matter and the actors acted very well. There were less passionate scenes in the series compared to other series, but I felt the love they experienced deep down and this was true love, I watched it non-stop. And I finished this clip, one of the best clips describing them...
I have binged watched this drama twice when it first released, with no regrets. That's how good it is. I just might do it again. It's that freaking good from script, actors, action, attitude ❤️
The whole drama was basically a series of betrayals Tantai Jin had to suffer through. Everyone betrayed him Susu/Xiwu even several times. I was actually shocked he did NOT turn into the evil demon lord but tried to make it look like it, so she kills him. Tantai Jin was so miserable, I just felt bad for him and wanted something better for him in any life. 😢
I really think one of the saddest parts of the series for me was her thinking he'd remarried only to find what he'd carved and realizing he'd never lived without her. Well, that and the dragon clutching the clam. After the dream was over, I was just crying my little eyes out.
Yeah, I was really sad since in the tomb chamber before he went to sacrifice himself he made an illusion of Xiwu/Susu cheering him one and telling him "You're TanTaiJin, the person I love the most!"

This story is both incredibly confusing and devastating. Who is on whose side and who is good and who is trying to sacrifice themselves for someone else... honestly, its hard to keep track. The acting was fantastic and the two leads were phenomenal. The emotional connection was off the charts. I hope they do a drama together again. Absolutely amazing.
Yeah, like the producer from One and Only(Bai Lu did the main character Shi Yi) did. They created season two of the same show but with a different name and continue the main characters story in our century time.

He was extremely cruel to her in the novel, but she still love him even if she didn't admit it. The divine essence was her ticket out of the miserable life of Ye Xiwu.

I love it so much but the conspiracy is too much for me to handle. I started watching it earlier this week out of boredom but I just can't get past episode 25 because I'm like really scared!?!!. But yet I want to keep going on. The writer and cast deserve an award. I had to go and watch love is sweet ( acted by the fl and ml) to calm down but I still haven't gotten over it .

It was never about destroying tantai jin's evil bone, but making li susu so powerful that she would be able to kill him in the last. She loved him in all the lives but he always tried to hurt her as per her perspective that made her strong to finish him at the end.

I was really rooting for this couple. The actors have watchable chemistry, but I hate how Li Susu treated him. In the end, she couldn't offer him the true love that he wanted. He's been waiting for her to tell him that she loves him the most. However, her love is always fake or conditional. Unlike Ming Ye, who still loved Sang Jiu with all his heart even after she wiped out the serpent clan and killed Ti Huan. TTJ decides to send Susu away because he can't bear the pain anymore. After 3 lifetimes, he can't get this woman to truly love him and his soul. The person he loves most out of everyone is Ye Xiwu, even if that love from her was a delusion. I am proud though that Tatijin finally let susu go.
