@@BootsORiley Cruising through it right now! Btw, i took your tip on that really obscure Bazaar Escape jam from the dam(i believe). You're a good man, I'll leave it at that. Thanks for what you do, man!
@@jangelo2038also, that Jam in the Dam is 3/18/08, you’re right. Best Spectacle ever unless there’s been an epic one in the last few years, to which I think there has, actually. And that Bazaar jam is SO deemsterfied I believe that I’m fundamentally a good person. I have Devil Anse Hatfield blood coursing through mine (he was my matriarchal grandmother’s great x4 grandfather. If you don’t know who he is, a ran search would reveal some interesting stuff), and as result I have a lot of personal battles I deal with everyday, grudge-beholding and difficulty forgiving are a couple of those hurdles. But when I’m not strung out, I think I’m a pretty good person who generally looks out despite being more-or-less misanthropic. Hope all is well Jangelo
One of the best versions of 42, by far. Should I forget the dream I had last night...or remember it and follow through. We're further now than astronaut.
Personally, I’ve never heard a better 42 jam. So focused and ridiculously dirty. I had a moment with it one time while out walking and a really gnarly storm began coming in. I now always associate the jam with that really intense experience, too, which kinda takes it over the top. Anyway, thanks for taking a moment to chime in. I completely agree with ya, Mike. You were listening to the FIRE this Monday morning!!
Shawn Hoffman I need to give it an inspired listen, it’s been too long. My thoughts are that it was a catalyst for 10/23/07 II. There’d be no Ladies > Gangster without it, and Ladies > Gangster directly altered the trajectory of 2.0 forevermore. It set up the Colorado ‘08 winter run, which was the catalyst for the evolution of the ‘08 sound (think April and June, Buffalo to Bonnaroo), which was responsible for 2009
@@shawnhoffman18 i ended up uploading 10/19/07 Canopy Club to celebrate 666 subscribers. something i never, ever thought would happen to this channel. i gave the 42 a good listen 8 months ago, and although i honestly don't remember much about doing so, judging by the comments that i left, i thought it was a great jam with several great patches being used by Magner, and a New Deal-esque style of jamming that they end up playing around the 15:30 mark of the jam. Also really liked the Shimmy-ending tease in the 11th minute of the jam. It's a really good 42 jam that goes for a nice journey, well deserved to be mentioned in this comment section. i hope more people see that comment and are inspired to listen to it as result. thanks for commenting, Shawn. Hope you've ended up thriving during this c19 madness. Cheers!
@@BootsORiley great stuff! That canopy show has a lot of other great moments. The Astronaut is worth a listen too, and 7-11 if I’m remembering correctly
never miss a lift off thumbnail!
This 42 jam is absolutely absurd

11:07 magners alien skreech is the cherry on top.
this is probably my fav 42. so, so good!
I love that I know exactly what skipping, choppy alien screech you’re talking about without having to hear the time stamp
Souls are WRAPPED around EACH other!!!! Forgot last night. No big deal
you were listening to the firemost 42!
Aaaaahhhhhyeeeeeeah
shit is so good. my top 3 for 42, no question
Do Do Brownstein with massive bassline
I think it’s doubled by a nasty synth bass, too. But what Marc is playing at the very beginning of the jam is super creative. Love it!!!
Got cha lol
and i got i gotchew
jam starts at 6:56
Thoughts on Canopy Club 10/19/07? Different jamming, but both up there for tops!
