A group of friends and I had a 2 v 2 match on who could get 100% completion first, back to back. The other team got to this part before we did and we all teared up, and just as the scene faded out and just before the funeral scene my friend drops a single tear and only says: "Balls"
Walter was always an amazing part of the Fable 3 game, blending in a mixture of humour, strength, and an almost fatherly figure towards the Hero themselves. Walter is definetly one of my favourite characters in video gaming history, and his momentous outbursts of "Oh, BALLS!" will forever live on in my heart. It's more than enough reason to restart playing Fable 3 again and again... "Teach me how to be a Hero, just like father!"
I thought it was a fascinating choice. The song's emotion does uniquely feel like it fits both the sadness of death but also the joy of love. [also I do have a suspicion it's bc they were too lazy to make the composer do a different song just for marriage scenes lol]
Sir Walter... you will always be remembered as the greatest friend and mentor to us all it goes for the same for everyone who knows Walter in Fable Three and kept him to heart... literally, I went into tears since I played that game the first time and I kinda bonded with Walter so much that I didn't expect him to die by our hands... we all had that same experience that we bonded with Walter so much we never thought he would die... let's bow our heads in honor of his name... Sir Walter Beck... "The Greatest Mentor And Friend To Us All"
In the final battle, I just didn't want to fight Walter and was actually hoping I could do something else. Then I realised I had no choice and reluctantly fought. In the end, I was too saddened by Walter's death to enjoy victory. One of the saddest deaths in gaming history to me.
it's soooooo fucked up how this plays at your wedding(s). Like, what should be one of the happiest moments of your life is marred by your memory of the worst.
Everytime this song plays at a wedding,I feel sad, cause I think Walter would have loved to see that moment, and how proud he would feel about you. the feels dude.
Walter, damn, the best character of the fcking game, die, and you're like, what? WHYYYY?! This is so sad. "You've done me proud, boy. You've always done me proud." FUCKKK i'm going to cryyy
God, I loved Walter... He was ALWAYS by your side, no matter what your decisions were, no matter how evil or how 'good' you were to your people, he was always there. He was the man a King/Queen needs just beside the throne. He taught you EVERYTHING, and asked nothing in return, and even he's last words, with his last breath were: You did me proud.
Walter was like my father, my teacher, my brother and my friend at the same time, supporting me along the journey... when he died, I felt like losing four of them together :'(
He was the mentor you wanted, the follower you needed, a man who stood by your side in the worst of times and in the best of times. He was the man who gave you everything he had, the man who you knew you could always trust and the man you could call father after you lost your own. But even more than all of these things, from death and ever afterwards, he will always be, your friend, the one you always had... Sir Walter Beck, a hero in his own rights, and your friend.
“When I was a boy - I remember feeling so safe when I was in The Village of Brightwall with Sir Walter Beck & the thrill of going out into the world to explore neverending quests & paths - all the treasure & glory of being THE HERO. So far away those days are now…& yet the lesson stays true. A True Hero Sacrifices All for The Greater Good - RIP…Memories RIP…Fable RIP…Sir Walter Beck & RIP…YOUNGER US 🪞😔
This is one scene that I can say actually made me cry. I was suprised, I never cry from games. It's almost like I actually had the bond the Hero and Walter had. I love this game so much. The Fable series is my favorite.
I remember on my first ever playthrough, I got attached to Walter right from the start, and I've grown to love him more during him being scared in the cave segment, and then I had to bloody fight him and I literally went back to the Sanctuary to take a moment. BECAUSE PLS. I AM _NOT_ FIGHTING THAT SWEET OLD MAN. 😭
"hey i know another spell, but is not require to use magic...BOO!" (hobbe dead for scare) "oh its really work!" -Walter. Me:Rest in peace my friend :´(
Ironically enough, this plays during whenever you are being married to whoever. Pretty cool that they used it that way, I like the melodic tune to this.
Good or Evil, right or wrong, corrupt or pure, Walter was there with us, and supported us every step of the way. "You've done me proud. You've always done me proud." Oh Walter... Why did you have to die?
I guess Lionhead didn't think the title through as not being a spoiler, anyway, very sad music. A true emotional piece indeed. "Teach me to be a hero"... R.I.P. Sir Walter Beck. You will be remembered throughout Albion and it's future, as a hero.
@ZombieSniper64 It's called renting out houses and buying shops, maxing the price, then lower the prices after you save everyone. good investment + everyone hates you = rich, good, everyone loves you, time saved, good ending.
_-Remember what you would always say?_
_-Teach me to be a hero._
😭😭😭😭
I WANNA CRYYY
😭😭😭😭
No don't, don't make me cry
Your father would be proud
''You call that a royal speech? You didn't shout, you didn't threaten, and you were far too reasonable. It was bloody marvellous!''
it wasn't Royal speech. It was the speech of a Hero.
This comment is awesome 😭
Sir Walter beck, still the best character in the fable series.

Theresa has always been my personal favourite

funny but rude... but still funny
"Albion needs nothing less than a revolution."

My God!
The nostalgia is overwhelming!
You've always made me proud
Anyone else tear up when hearing this?
God, i hate how music can kick my ass so easily.
😭
It’s not that sad anymore well for me at least and don’t hate it’s my opinion
rn currently
same mate... same
For me it’s my balls lmfao
This game got me straight in the feels. Cried so hard. 😢
Has anyone noticed that this music is played when you get married
Because like after his death, in the sadness of loss or the happiness of marriage, life must always go on, and it does.
O_O? welp the scene of Walter dying is the same because it is very emotional
I thought it was a fascinating choice. The song's emotion does uniquely feel like it fits both the sadness of death but also the joy of love. [also I do have a suspicion it's bc they were too lazy to make the composer do a different song just for marriage scenes lol]

Before we go any further I just have one thing to say....
BAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSS
Well said mate 😥
In the final battle, I just didn't want to fight Walter and was actually hoping I could do something else.
Then I realised I had no choice and reluctantly fought.
In the end, I was too saddened by Walter's death to enjoy victory. One of the saddest deaths in gaming history to me.
it's sadder than Rubben from the Minecraft Story game
it's soooooo fucked up how this plays at your wedding(s). Like, what should be one of the happiest moments of your life is marred by your memory of the worst.

Exactly!!
we can never let go of Walter
This soundtrack and Elise's are the two I adore from Fable 3. It was a great game.
Rest in peace Bernard Hill😢
RIP indeed, gonna be listening to this a few times today and Marcus’s Memorial.
Teach me how to be a hero, Walter.
Walter, damn, the best character of the fcking game, die, and you're like, what? WHYYYY?! This is so sad. "You've done me proud, boy. You've always done me proud." FUCKKK i'm going to cryyy
What I resent was a mix of cringe and sadness, but that's the 15 year old me I guess.
¡Catalina! I loved him!!!!!no I'm crying
The coolest and most lovable characters always die. It’s not fair
This officially made me cry
FABLE ANNIVERSARY ANNOUNCED, YEAH BABY, YEAH!
RIP Bernard Hill
Came cause of Bernard Hill's death and remembering this iconic track
Taught me to be a hero.
"You call THAT a royal speech? You didn't shout, you didn't threaten--and you were far too reasonable. It was bloody marvelous!"
~Walter
R.I.P Bernard Hill (Walter and King Theodin) May you find rest and peace.
"Teach me to be a Hero Hero

Walter was easily one of my favorite video game characters of all time so far. He stood by you no matter what, even if you were an evil king.
true... this really hurts when you think about it ;(
they ALWAYS have to kill the ones you get the most attached to! :'(
I think this is also the Wedding Ceremony theme but it's actually Wedding Ceremony/ Walter's Funeral theme
Nostalgia
Imagine having Walter’s death spoiled by a soundtrack… balls…
I cry when Walter dies every single time 😭😭
Rest in peace, dear old soldier.... Sir Walter Beck.....
Walter was like my father, my teacher, my brother and my friend at the same time, supporting me along the journey... when he died, I felt like losing four of them together :'(
Damn, dramatic much?
RIP
I am going to name child Walter in later life
son: dad why am I call Walter
me: no matter what be proud of that name

great song! thanks for putting it up
You've done me proud boy, you've always done me proud
He die, for us to live. Glory to hero of Albion!
As much of a disappointment this game was I loved all the characters. I even got a little teary-eyed when Walter died.
I wish I was a child again.. most games made me feel so mysterious. I can't get that from games anymore.
"Teach me to be a hero."
Teach me how to be a hero.
i had played halfway through fable 3 and went to spotify to listen to some of the wonderful music, then i saw this...
Love this
walter taught us all more than being heros he taught us to stay loyal proud and to say balls at all the right moments.
I actually did cry when this happened. I was bawling like a little girl.
I m n o t o k a y
Just finished that part of the story. Had a tear in my eye. Been about my 5th or 6th play now but I still tear up.
Rip Walter
"You've done me proud, boy... You've always done me proud..."
Me and King : Teach me to be a hero!
I don't think Fable has been the same since 2 & 3 and 2 is my absolute favourite
...he was like a father : (

There was only one thing I said when this sad moment came to pass...
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh walter why did you have to die???!!!
I cried so hard T_T
I remember on my first ever playthrough, I got attached to Walter right from the start, and I've grown to love him more during him being scared in the cave segment, and then I had to bloody fight him and I literally went back to the Sanctuary to take a moment. subtle naming there
Ironically enough, this plays during whenever you are being married to whoever. Pretty cool that they used it that way, I like the melodic tune to this.
1:08 is making me feel some type of way.. :(
"Ugh...I don't think I can fight anymore..."
King: "Walter...We did it...Together."
This part in the game nearly made me cry. Especially when she said "Teach me to be a hero" and Walter was like "you did me proud". Ugh
*pats on shoulder* Let it out, m'boy... let it all out...
cant wait till fable 4
And so the darkness was at that day defeated. But at what cost?
When Walter died I listened to this and had one of those cheesy movie montage moments.
Good or Evil, right or wrong, corrupt or pure, Walter was there with us, and supported us every step of the way.
"You've done me proud. You've always done me proud."
Oh Walter... Why did you have to die?
Poor Walter!! He was so funny and all that with his "BOO! " that killed the hobbe.
walter was exactly like my grandpa but he passes away too
I guess Lionhead didn't think the title through as not being a spoiler, anyway, very sad music. A true emotional piece indeed. "Teach me to be a hero"...
R.I.P. Sir Walter Beck. You will be remembered throughout Albion and it's future, as a hero.
Never thought Honest Abe would want to build a brothel...
ALL THE FEELS! :'((((
You've done me proud....
all I hope is that there is a game where you play as Walter fable:Walters past
are you pulling my leg?
No
Teach me how to be a hero, walter
@ZombieSniper64 It's called renting out houses and buying shops, maxing the price, then lower the prices after you save everyone. good investment + everyone hates you = rich, good, everyone loves you, time saved, good ending.
I hope no-one listens to the OST before playing this... the titles kinda spoil everything xD
Lol nvm he didn't
God that hurts. He was a great man.

@AndySixxIshMine I also cried. . . and I NEVER cry. . .
I miss you, Walter. . . Teach me to be a hero. . .
"I cant see... my eyes !"
The title is to spoilering ._.
They could have called it "an old friend death" or whatever to avoid this.
