- Sponsored by Ruffino | There’s something about pain opening up your artistic self. In this episode of “Street Somm,” host Jermaine Stone dives head first into Chicago’s robust art scene with local artist & muralist Jenny Vyas as his guide.
Join the culinary crawl as Jermaine and Jenny explore the intersection of food, art, and wine in Pilsen, Chicago’s Arts District. The first pairing includes savory bites of saffron salmon pulusu alongside a glass of fragrant Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Next up, a juicy buffalo chicken sandwich from a local shop built on the foundation of romance and butter. They dig in over a glass of bright and complex Meiomi Pinot Noir while discussing second chances and the power art has to save lives. They wrap up their tour with a once-in-a-lifetime culinary experience and a glass of elegant Ruffino Estates Riserva Ducale Chianti Classico Riserva - all enjoyed on Jenny’s canvas. For 21+

We had a blast putting together all the artwork and the artists for this episode. Thanks Tastemade!
Great Episode!! Love the clash between food and art!
Such a well produced show. I’m very impressed. @jennyvyas you’re such a natural at this and you look amazing ❤
Thank you! ❤
Another great episode- love the cheese shell tacos!
So great to see everyone featured!
So now I have to check these places out
Wonderful, but the quote by Jennie, "where most artist have their studios," isn't necessarily the gospel truth. The south side of Chicago houses many artists, specifically Black artists. Check out Bronzeville Artists Lofts, among the multitude of private studio spaces found throughout.
This is true! Totally forgot to mention that. 🤦🏻♀️
Why is she eating with her gloves on though?
While fingerless gloves are my thing, I did take these green gloves off when eating that sandwich after those couple of bites-that scene was cut. 🙃 Camera crew thought it was hilarious with them on. I know this eating fried chicken w/ them green gloves moment is going to haunt me for life. 😬😂
@@JennyVyas 😂
