People are such a narrow minded they think that just cheap drone and rpg7 round and tank is destroyed . Its not that a cheap drone destroyed a tank , It just damage the tank but now defences are develop to counter drone and top attack . Its really hard to destroy a tank .
The Merkeva is an unbelievably good tank, and the most defended MBT ever developed, but it isn't actually ideal for Ukraine. It's heavy (for perspective, 50% heavier than a T-72) and so large swathes of the front will be impassable (it was designed for desert combat, not mud). Similarly, its high-tech systems and large size burn fuel like crazy, and so Ukraine's supply lines might have issues with that. Additionally, the Merkava has several pieces of tech that cannot fall into Russian hands--namely, its Trophy APS has a 95% effectiveness on taking out ATGMs, up to the heavy Kornet. It's been installed on Abrams and Leopards, and nobody wants Russia to capture a sample of that tech. What I would bet is that Cyprus, or a similar small nation that wants highly defended tanks to prevent tanker losses, is buying up Merkava to replace their existing tanks, and then might send the old ones to Ukraine.
Another video suggested older Merkeva's would be sold. The Israelis are SELLING this tank unlike us suckers in America that are giving our military hardware away for free.

@@burlbird9786 yeah I do believe that tanks are obselete in urban warfare situations. We have seen in Russo ukrainian wars how Ukrainians launched rpg or NLAWs on the tank top from buildings. In ww1 the philosophy behind tanks was to clear the trenches. In ww2 it remained same but an additional doctrine was added and tanks were meant to support infantry movements and fight in plain terrains mostly where it was highly likely that it will be shot from front so that's why a strong front armour was added too. Another thing is there is no specific definition for tanks. Basically it's a very high velocity gun mounted on tracks and possess good armour (which has failed mostly due to developments in anti tank rounds). Tanks are not economical as well. No matter how much advanced armour in theory are being developed for tanks. Just one good anti tank round ( arguably javellins) will make whole production of tanks obselete in every way. As for Hezboella, we have seen how the abandoned their Muslim brothers in this war, because they are afraid of losing. Nasralla can threat and bark like a dog all day but he won't do anything about it.
Israel might be willing to sell Merkavas. That doesn’t mean it’s willing to give to Ukraine for free. Any nation that is able to buy Merkavas won’t be able to transfer them to Ukraine.
That said, Israeli military weapons won’t see combat in Ukraine. Unless those weapons were co-developed by other nations. Example, Matador anti-armor missile system was co-developed with Germany.
True Secondhand Israeli Main Battle Tanks, Merkava Mk.ll or Mk.lll version, would be ideal for the Ukraine Army too.
The Mk. II was quickly disqualified for the construction of armored derivatives such as H-APC's, mobile command posts/ comms nodes, combat engineers' vehicles and suchlike, on account of its sucky suspension. It is certainly going to get recycled, hopefully into sturdy railroad tracks.
The most successful tanks in the Middle East..
Got smoked by people wearing sandals 😂
it's easy to make commercials, but the reality is quite different. Your tanks are destroyed from old grenades from cheap drones and from a Soviet rpg-7.
Who are you referring to? Both sides are losing tanks to cheap drones and rpgs.
@@snowdogthewolf
N*** Palestinians don't have tanks.
oppressor apartheid israel didn't even let Palestinians form an army to defend themselves.
not in muddy season.
😂😂 al yasin enter chat
Al Yassin-105 has entered the chat? Must be here to explain why their rockets keep falling mid air and landing in Gaza.
My honest and genuine reaction (🔻)
The best intelligence in the world. The best tank in the world. The most prepared army. Want another Jewish joke?
There is nothing jewish about you
Just in one condition, the absence of Al-Yassin anti tank missile
Hahaha..welcome to real world
Given how vulnerable tanks are I think we could see a return of the light tank. A much, much cheaper tank that doesn't try to defend itself against dedicated anti-tank weapons and tries to use speed and weight of numbers to overcome it.
@@happysickfreak8415 Speed isn't just about tactical mobility but also about strategic mobility. The faster a tank is the quicker it can get to where it needs to go.
The Merkeva is different though. It has an APS that has a 95% interception rate against heavy Kornets, and can also take out drones with the same system. Good luck hitting it with a helicopter too, as it can fire long-range anti-armor missiles from its main turret. It's expensive and heavy, but extremely well-defended.
@@theprogressivecynic2407oh wow looks like hamas blew couple of these lmao
@@ivanpopovac9554 Sure, they blew up a couple on a base (notice in the image of the burning one that the barrel still has its cover on). Congrats on damaging (not actually destroying) a couple inactive tanks.
Watch what happens when the Merkavas go across the border into Gaza. It will be a day or two from now, max. See how many get destroyed.
@@theprogressivecynic2407 oh yeah it
will be the same as hezbollah blowing them up with kornets come on now man. entering gaza with tanks is the dumbest thing you can do btw
This definitely does not age well

Jewish refugees in Palestine 1947.
When the whole of Europe hated you, the people of Palestine accepted you so well. The Jews have so quickly forgotten who you are and who you have become!

hey can you make a update of this video that israel is still apoveing to send the merkava to ukraine while they still in war with hamas and palestina
100 + tanks destroyed by freedom fighters. Not by an army. You call that great
5 tanks we're only destroyed/damaged in the 2006 Lebanon war.....
Not even the much-touted world's best tanks stood against anti-tank weapons, the same case is for aircrafts too.
Only the answer to any weaponry in the world will be like deploy into the real battlefield, to prove your weapon.
It is for desert
hamas
im very curious now to see russian tank trollers stand on merkava after it met same fate as any T series tanks in current israel war.
I believe this topic trolls itself
I believe tanks will be old tech soon and won't be a part of modern warfare doctrine anymore.
@@shubhankarsingh2605I hope you are aware that we do nto live on fvcking Coruscant and the terrain is not exclusively urban, nor is warfare exclusively urban. As we can clearly see in the territories formerly known as ukriane. And I hope you are informed that we are still fighting in trenches, just like int he 20th century. So a good shovel never went out of fashion.
@@burlbird9786 your statement appears so vague and smelling like ignorance. Have the tanks being used to clear trenches specifically in Ukraine? Haven't you seen the presence of tanks in captured towns? Where they were attacked from top of buildings? I think you are not aware of it and writing it all just cuz you felt it.
@@shubhankarsingh2605 I have no idea what are you talking about. YOU said that tanks can't be used in urban warfare and THUS they will become obsolete.
Not battle proven
Russians will blow these up just as easily as the Leopard, Challenger, and Bradley tanks.
😆 Will they burn and launch their turrets like the "mighty" T72s and T80s? All tanks will burn, it's how they're used that makes *_ALL_* the difference. Surely you know that.
@@snowdogthewolf of course, it is all about how you use your equipment. Look at the success Hamas was able to accomplish over the IDF with paragliders. My point though is that there seems to be a "wunderwaffe" mindset in the West. That a particular piece of hardware given to Ukraine will route Russia off the map. That simply won't work.
didn't even need russians🤣
@gagangurung5297 Thermonuclear warfare is where this leads and thank God for that. We need a reset and what better way than the destruction of mankind. We can make a clean start. Allow for the destruction!
Afterward, anything or anyone "religious" must immediately be destroyed.
A secular order will yield few wars.
Bradley ain't a tenk dude... but it burns just as well.
got destroyed by a drone didnt expect to happen
"Damaged"
Best tank for Israel but not necessarily for Ukraine. For example, its narrow tracks increases the risk it will get bogged in Ukraine's notorious mud. Need wider tracks fitted before Ukraine can use it..
isnt it too heavy for ukraine mud?
Merkava is good at long distance
@@Yisraelamundas it may be true but a stuck tank is unusable. i saw a video about the abrams that is too heavy to function proparly because of the mud. and the merkava is heavier
@Yisraelamundas Dr. Jack watling from the royal united services institute has an interesting interview with Sun New. according to him, Western tanks are way too heavy to function properly as tanks. according to his research, tanks shouldn't be less than 45 tons or more than 55 tons. if less than 45 tons you don't have enough protection. if more than 55 tons your mobility suffers massively. meaning you get stuck all the time. they found that basically any weapon that can knock out a 55 ton tank can knock out an 80 ton tank.
@@RaymondCollishaw-i1e The Merkava is adapted for its weight.
Also, I mean for it to be used far away, not on mud.
@@Yisraelamundas yes it's fine for isreal. but that isn't what the comment you responded to was talking about. or this video. it is if the merkava would work for ukraine

Yassin 105 ☺️☺️
It is like a fart in the wind.
This tank failed miserably against Hamas resistance fighters with there home made Alyaseen 105 modified RPGs
Did you really think Israel give their modern and expensive tank to ukraine
almost no defense for top attack missile
Theis is an old version. Mk 4 and 5 both have "trophy" system
Merkava Mk4 got the thickest top armor along with ERA there and APS
How did it get destroyed by a drone????? Tanks aren't as tough as we once thought
"Damaged" 😑
you are looking at a tank by appearance. and destroyed by a $200 drone. a pile of iron like any other.
Would be cool to see the Jewish tank with a Swastikas' on the side of it.
😂
Merkava etymology is from Arabic word for vehicule.
You might want to change this narrative now... What we are seeing is totally different
Hamas know the cheat code to burst it 😂😂
Hamas knows that a grenade can destroy a small part of a tank but that part must a weakest part to destroy it.

they prove different in ukraine they have lots of weak points
Every tank has weak points. They're made by man and mankind is a fucking joke.
The Israeli Main Battle Tanks, Merkava MBT's as it is easily as good if not better than early Germany Leopard MBT’s.
Or especially the French Leclerc Tanks, let alone are equally to both the American Abrams plus British Challengers 1 or 2’s.
Or the South Korean older K1A1’s or K1A2’s Tanks or the newer K2 Black Panther / Heukpyo MBT’s and the Japanese older Type 74’s, Type 90 MBT’s or maybe the newer Type 10 Tanks as well, especially the new Merkava Mk.V Barak Main Battle Tank.
The Israeli Merkava series of Main Battle Tanks, have always been better than any of the Russians older T-72’s and T-80 Tanks and/or T-90 MBT’s or the new T-14 Armata Main Battle Tanks (which there are very few of too).
Or the Chinese Type 80 / ZTZ80 and ZTZ88, or Type 96 / ZTZ96, or Type 98 or WZ-123 , Type 99 / ZTZ-99 Main Battle Tanks and/or Type 15 / ZTQ-15 (nicknamed the Black Panther) third generation light tank too.
Last few days during Hamas attack, it shown to be a total garbage getting destroyed by small grenade explosives on the armor. Even old ukrainan t64s have been showing better results. Its rubbish
too bad there is a war now
Sy kalaw lihat flm ini kayanya tank mercava hebat gitu ya ...nyatanya jadi barang rongsokan di gaza..seolah perkasa. IDF bagaikan bebek
This video has aged well, lol. They faced significant challenges in Gaza.
The Merkava is first tank specialy designed for attacking civilians and their houses, hospitals and churches
Attacking Civilians? The only thing I saw about the Merkava attacking civilians is scaring them away from a bomb sight.
Their houses? Unless there's a tunnel under it, the Merkava would not attack it.
Hopsitals? Dude, there's videos of Hamas rockets launching from Hospitals. Also that's the SPIKE NLOS' job.
Churches? Gaza has Churches? Oh yeah it does, but most of it seems to be under control of Hamas.
