I have bought 5 cars till now. there is never a burning smell that comes with a new car. I guess this is a new feature from mahindra considering the cold wave in northern india little fire can give you instant relief.

Mahindra should look into quality control as well as service centres instead of distributing Thar to Sarfaraz for publicity.
This is in fact dangerous because suppose fire would have started while the family was inside it would have caused a huge loss.
Even though the matter would have become a d£ath trap for the family, the brand's stance would have remained the same. This immature brand is only active on Twitter; not active in solving customer problems.

I was planning to buy a Mahindra product. Now I am thinking of changing my mind.. A few days back I saw another issue with Scorpio where its wheel came out during the trip and the owner lost his leg in that accident.
Now going for TATA 😊
Tata comes with its own set of issues , poor after sales service, unreliable vehicles if you get a defective product you will face a lot of difficuties in getting a refund / new vehicle. Both Tata and Mahindra are utter useless. That said, other manufacturers aren't saints either but the probability of getting a defective vehicle from others is relatively less.
also if you buy a car from Tata please do a pre delivery inspection. Don't let the register the car before you check it. There have been cases where they sell used/rejected products.
I repent not taking ecosport delivery for the so called facelift and doesn't want XUV 300 and unable to decide if I can go with nexon blas in the sports mode engine sounds like tractor😢😢
Tata don't have reliability and resale value , resale value depends on reliability that's why Toyota's resale value are highest .

2) Mahindra blamed Insurance by saying it was not an manufacturing default

I have the same Thar 4x2 while undergoing servicing, the management warned me and advised me to get engine coating for it. In the Thar, due to its bonnet and iron body, it tends to heat up quickly in the sunlight (as seen in the video on my channel), which can cause wires and electronic parts to melt down. Although I don't know if this was the reason, as it was during January. However, being the best recommended car insurance company like "IFFCO Tokio," would do such a thing like that, its very hard to accept. Mahindra should step forward and showcase itself as a responsible Indian company, accept its responsibility for such faults

Insurance companies kaisi chikni chupdi patein kar ke policies bechti hain. But jab samay ata hai, tab unka ek hi maksad hota hai ki kaise claim reject kiya jaye. Wo is field me parangat hote hain.

Remember maruti is not only to blame for poor car quality and service , all indian car companies know laws are weak and they know how they can get away even after mistakes. Thats why indian car companies have good sales in india not abroad.

I hope this is not prevelant case and we don't lose lives in upcoming Thar fire cases ( and there will be more cases like this if this is an manufacturing defect. Complete batch of vehicles gets affected in cases like these.

Manufacturing fault is not the customer's headache. They have taken the insurance and now the insurance company is obliged to give him the money/car. He should definitely go to the consumer court, no questions about that. He lost his property along being getting harassed from both insurance and the manufacturer.
As per my understanding, any modification, including done at the service centre is considered external modification and warranty gets terminated.
then correct your understanding because the OEM that is Mahindra here gives warranty assurance for all the accessories that are fit inside the showroom. Not only mahindra every company gives warranty on things fitted in showroom.

@@gauravbhilare98 if electronics & wiring is tampered , warranty of the car gets terminated . Service centre may give warranty for any electrical or non electrical fittings , but when it comes to the entire car , they wash their hands off.
Crazy how big insurance companies find ways to escape giving any money to the customer.Fixing a rear camera in a car that has been installed by the dealership itself is counted as additional fitment..wahh bc

every burn case is the result of the illegal accessory fitted by buyers. buyers feel that if they have bought a vehicle they are ENTITLED to fit any electrical or mechanical fixture in their car. whereas R&D engineers of OEM are more intelligent than most customers and they know what has to be fitted in any car.

I have faced same type of problems in a Tata safari. The vehicle was having some noise from the engine side and the service centre people said this is a normal noise. When i threatened the service centre. They made a close inspection and confirmed that it is a timing chain problem. I forced them to give a new vehicle upon which they changed the complete engine of my safari.

इसमे एक तो गवर्नमेंट ने जल्दबाजी में BS4 की जगह BS6 लाए और Manufacture को R&D करने का अवसर नहीं मिला. जल्दबाजी के चक्कर में अक्सर खराब क्वालिटी के साथ साथ low क्वालिटी की गाड़ियां मिल रही हैं. इसमे चार लोग मालामाल हुए.

Sir even i had same kind of issue in my adaptive tvs ntorq which completely got fired , which is a 6-7 montha old vehicle till date i didn't get any update, i have all relevant documents, incident happened in November till date i have no resolution.
Customer has to fight with biggie like Mahindra or IFFCO. Poor customer even going to court will be so expensive and time consuming. Media pays more attention to Mahindra giving car to Sarfaraj than highlighting burning of car. 😡.
Iske sath sath aise insurance company’s ko bhi reveal kariye jo customer ko aise pareshan karte hai,is se awareness bhi aaegi insurance karwate waqt,aur customer bhi alert rahega aur insurance lete time curious bhi.
Tata and Mahindra are doing well in terms of safety and tech but not in quality. Fire and the most common problem of these cars is technical fault I have a Tata Tigor cng, problems coming in instrument cluster. My friend has scorpio N, many technical issues are coming..
