Excellent Wordle! Super lucky 2 for me in about 6 seconds: AROSE, PROSE. Excellent Connections. I was also looking for the word play but didn't find it, so I took guesses on the 5 types of sausages and luckily got away with only 2 mistakes. Good Thursday Mini. My time was 1:05. Amazing custom! I first saw only theories, including knot theory. I didn't know any of those drug names. I also saw atomic clock; is there a game clock? No chance for me. Nice Strands. I was guessing but I got it without hints. Why do we give these funny names to generations? Great Hang Five! Surprisingly, there was no S (SIERRA would have been nice); so one miss for me too. The triple vowels in PLATEAU gave the theme away.
Great job on John's puzzle! I saw three categories, but there was no way I was going to get Purple. I'm actually surprised that this is the first time someone used animal groups for Purple. It is a recipe for a difficult puzzle, to be sure! Well done, John! Connections #16 🟨🟪🟨🟨X places to sleep 🟩🟩🟩🟪X heroin 🟪🟦🟦🟦X ____ theory 🟪🟦🟦🟪X ____ theory
I do not know my Web Browsers and forget about the BEERS. I was easily able to get the yellow/green categories in Connections. Again, we know that Wyna likes her BOOZE. I was fine with Wordle and Strands. I am not surprised that you solved John's puzzle, Adam. I know that you are an avid reader. Your reasoning skills are outstanding. 😎
Chazz, I got green and blue and struggled with yellow and purple. I saw too many sausages so I had to guess since I didn't know purple. I only knew opera was a web browser form a past puzzle. Nice job on your other games.
With my being an occasional social drinker, I might go somewhere with a few friends tonight for "Happy Hour"and forget about Connections. I will either have a Frozen Pina Colada or a Whiskey Sour as one of my drinks with a nice appetizer on the side (ie. chicken wings). 😂
I ended up babysitting my nephew. I will do HAPPY HOUR another day. 😁 I am thinking that we probably have different tastes in music, Dan. You and Wyna seem to especially like RAP music which I do not. Again, I am a Rock/Soft Rock and Pop music kind of guy. 🫡
For John's, I recognized 3 categories off the top. I got yellow with one error. I couldn't sort out the rest. I'm made I missed purple as I have done research on that category.
I'm posting a simplified version of my results, without the graphics. Today is one of those days when my comments keep disappearing. STARE HORSE PROSE Strands: No hints. Never heard of generation Alpha or Zoomers but managed to find the words. Found out later that Alphas were born between the early 2010s and the mid-2020s, the first generation to be born entirely in the 21st century. Zoomers (AKA Gen Z, a term I DID know) were born between 1997 and 2012, between Millennials and Alphas. But what I really want to know is, who makes this stuff up? Who assigns these generational categories? 🤔 NYT Connections: No mistakes, out of sequence, purple by default. Never heard of Harp, Bass or Peroni. Alcoholic beverages have become a daily theme now.
@@ADailySliceOfOranje I guess the folks at the NYT are ignoring "dry January" this year. I don't know if it was much of a thing in Canada last year, but here in the US there sure was a lot of talk about it. This year, not so much.
Connections #16 Impossible with a capital I. After the reveal, I have to confess all of those categories had blind spots except yellow, which I could have easily chased the one away. If you would have had another one of your REVERSE RAINBOWS, particularly on THIS puzzle, Michelle, I would have slapped your face. Not really. 😂 Art and Oranje were not able to get their RAINBOWS today because I told them not to do this. Also, we will be getting FRIGID weather in Ohio on Monday and Tuesday with 5 degrees for the high. I am flying to Hawaii to visit you, Michelle. 😁
It will be 5 degrees for the highs on Monday and Tuesday. I need you to get me some good flight deals, Michelle. 😁 I feel sorry for Oranje and Andrea. They deal with this kind of weather all the time during the winter.
