I get it, he’s not the most flashy figure, articulation and accessories are somewhat limited… but this is a version of a character I’ve been waiting for for a long time! Anyone who’s read classic Avengers during that era knows… an Avengers shelf would not be complete without this guy stood next to Beast. So he’s easily an 8/10 for me.
"Wonder"ful review, Shartimus. I've been anticipating this review. Tbh Wonderman in his classic costume is my favorite version. I'm so looking forward to my preorder. Reminds me of George Perez's artwork. Granted that these new waves are lacking accessories has been excessive.
I think on average the double ball joint at the head instead of the ball and hinge allows for better articulation, even if Hasbro doesn’t implement it correctly. When done correctly, a head with a double ball joint should be able to look up and down about as much as it would with a hinge, and it also allows for actual head tilting. Hasbro just refuses to do the double ball joints in the head the right way.
I don’t get why they sculpted a zip on the jacket if it has to be open at the bottom. If you look at the box art it’s buttons, which makes way more sense. The Legends design team makes some weird choices sometimes.
I've been wanting this version of Wonder Man for a long time. Got mine today, and sadly I'm a little disappointed. Those accesories are trash! I can't imagine anyone using them. But still, it looks kinda nice on the shelf
Nice review! Need this Simon Williams for my Avengers display but really wish Hasbro would give up on those awful double jointed jacket arms. They look terrible. Ill take less articulation if it means the figure looks better.
Abomination had gone through a period of several years where Emil Blonsky was separated from the body of Abomination and Tyrannus unwillingly inherited it. I believe that occupation in an Incredible Hulk in which the Hulk was gray but it was prior to the Joe Fixit era. I know Wonder Man in his recently acquired red and black costume had fought this incarnation of Abomination.
For me, this figure is awesome! I've always loved the Simon Williams character and his incredible journey. I may be miss-remembering, but I don't think he had the purple effects with this outfit - Didn't that come much later in the Heroes Return aftermath?
@@ShartimusPrime Ah, thank you. I've been dipping in and out of the comics over the last decade or so, but those early storylines and those unparalleled Buscema and Perez pencils will always stay with me. Thank you for all that you do, Shartimus. :)
I agree. I like Wonder Man but this is not my Wonder Man. I have the one from a few years ago with the red arms bands, which is close to my preferred 1990's design but what I would really like to see is his original green outfit. The first time I was introduced to Wonder Man was in a "What If" comic and he was wearing the green suit in that book so I'd like to see that in toy form.
I'm not even interested in putting this on my shelf, however I purchased a figure for about the same price but it came with accessories and an extra head sculpt remember extra heads? Hey shart thanks for saving some money.
Hasbro just sucks at dumbbell joints. They're easily better in terms of articulation than the disc hinge but Hasbro just doesn't understand how to dumbbell... A decent disc is probably better than a poor dumbbell, but a well executed dumbbell is miles beyond a mediocre disc hinge.
If you know what your doing (which hasbro obviously doesn’t) the double ball peg and neck joint system could work great ! But hasbro hasn’t mastered it like mafex yet so they just need to stick to ball hinged necks and also idk why the hell they keep screwing up the torso articulation, they could have easily given it the kang or dr doom ball joint waste treatment or could have sculpted the ab crunch into the jacket like they did the new torso for molecule man, idk why they don’t use their own common sense

He looks like alfred molina (spider-man 2 doc ock) his head i mean.

Thanks for reviewing this! Been waiting for this figure for awhile!
What a wonderful figure!
I am so happy who can see the puff ader. Still amazing
The action figure looks ok.
I'm happy that they are basing the action figures on some more obscure comic book images.
Hasbro doesn't do double ball peg right. It is a better system if they would.
Double ball on the neck is way better then the disc hinge, Hasbro just has no clue on how to do it properly.
I just realized… near the end of the video, that new Ultimate Cap has the Marvel Now head. I guess the one that came with it bothered you that much.
I wonder why they didn’t give him the gray hair. That was a major issue with the character at the time.
It was actually his third look.

Are the glasses removable? Do you think theres any way you can without breaking them
Classic Wonderman didn't have purple ion powers.
I need a Ms Marvel figure 😭

Honestly the best head swap ever.
Not my preferred costume either, but damn if I don't love this figure
TENACIOUS D 🤘🏻😤

I think you're right. Those powers came later when he could fly on his own too.

3:20 Man, I miss when Carol was Ms.Marvel and loved her costume. She was of the the many examples of being sexy and a good character same time.
Lol love the animation. Overall, nice figure.
I was wondering what happened to Big Time badass Spider-Man! It's been forever and a day since I last seen him.

are the glasses removeable? what happens if you remove them?
Wait, I'm behind on the times. Why did he start a 2nd channel?
How do you get these figures so early, that's not right
Shart what ever happened to the infinity ultron build a figure review
