Love love love it!!! For me it’s perfect to transition from summer to fall / even winter.. I get zero coconut.. it’s a warm vanilla cashmere blend.. too warm for hot summer months..I put it in at 10am and it’s still going 8 hours later. Also, Were people disappointed when Coco Mademoiselle smelled nothing like Coco or even Coco Noir? I appreciate that this doesn’t have the same DNA.. I don’t want two similar smelling perfumes!
I had the chance to spray this on in store this week, and I loved it. I had never even heard of it, so I had absolutely no expectations at all. I wrote in my notes that it was a sweet deep coconutty tropical fruit. I found it so strong and long lasting! It was stronger than any of the other ones I sprayed all day! (And I rarely ever get the chance to get to a perfume store so I spray in 6 spots, back of hand, inner forearm and front of shoulder on both sides and make careful notes of what I sprayed where) This scent is what I wish Iced Star had smelled like, but that one is just terrible on me, and I’ve tried it on two different occasions. Anyway my final verdict is that it’s a good one, but I have others that are similar so I’m not sure if I’d purchase it! Loved your review! 🥰💕

Loved this review. I agree with you regarding the expectations of the release. I thought the original Alien was too strong but I love this. I live in a warmer climate and I find it transitioning very nicely into fall.
It’s perfect for a warmer climate, I think because of the current circumstances of the world they couldn’t release early enough in the summertime for us in US and Canada and that’s why it came a little bit later in the year. But if they would’ve done a little bit more of a tropical campaign and it came out in the summertime it would’ve been better received. It’s all about perception people had the perception it was going to be a deeper perfume, but it’s not a bad one whatsoever it’s a nice fresh coconut vanilla 🥰

I love Alien Goddess so much, so I almost broke my promise to myself that I won't buy any more.....not before I use up at least 1 full bottle of those 73 gorgeous fragrances i already have 😵💫🤣
I know the feeling, sometimes we just have to take a break and just use everything we have, I’ve personally have come to the acceptance that I don’t go out enough to use a full bottle and now with a channel obviously my collection is going to have to keep on growing but I’m trying to be super strategic I always try to use the one in one out roll whenever possible so if I bring in one your fragrance I have to take one fragrance that I don’t use very often out whether it is for donation or to salad or to pass it along to someone. And that definitely helps slow down the amount of shopping and considering bringing in something new 😄
I sprayed this at Macys and was surprised how much I loved it. I went back a few days later and purchased it. It smells so good! The dry down is stunning. Good review 👍

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Yes, the marketing was problematic, but there are many of us who are disappointed because recent releases have not met Mugler standards. Goddess is an EDP and performs like an EDT, and it is pretty generic in terms of its complexity and has really nothing to do with the OG. This is very out-of-character for this house. Since Loreal took over, it feels like they are trying to make Mugler more mass appealing while simultaneously cutting costs, but by doing so, they are alienating the house's devotees. You are right, it's a nice scent that smells like so many others on the market, but Mugler is loved for its avant-garde approach to fragrances and outstanding quality. Goddess is not that and Willow Smith deserves better.

Although I live in Puerto Rico, I will wait for the hottest months to wear Goddess. I do not recognize the Alien's DNA in this flanker and was not impressed at first but I have grown to love it. I picked up a full bottle from Nordstrom's the day it premiered and it's gorgeous! It was still warm outside and it wore very well and it garners compliments. So different from the OG but that's what makes it amazing for me, very unexpected. I'm so confused about the negative reviews. Thanks for this video!😊

Some people are disappointed because they are called followers of the brand constantly launching perfumes that are heavy hitters super strong performers and this is such a lighter interpretation I still think it’s a beautiful fragrance 🥰

I would love to have this fragrance because I love sweet, floral scents and I absolutely can't stand strong perfumes because they make my nasal passages dry and sore
There were a few people that were not happy with how soft the fragrance is they’re so used to having a deeper stronger presence type of fragrance there was a little bit of controversy but I think as time goes on a lot of people are more acceptance of the fragrance
I would have liked more coconut and less powder. Powdery scents smell like a grandma but the bergamot helps tone that a little. I like it & bought it for my wife, she loves it....nice
I blind bought it I was surprised by it not really realizing coconut was in it. It’s nice not ground breaking but I will continue to wear it through the fall as well.

Frag heads and reviewers have been hard on this fragrance, but if you check the reviews on Sephora you will see that this perfume has been extremely well received by the perfume buying public. It has by far the highest rating of any of the Mugler fragrances they carry. And while I get that people with expectations were disappointed, that didn't stop it from selling up a storm. It's also a very safe gifting fragrance. I think it's beautiful.
I think you hit the nail on the head, this fragrance is definitely crowd placing it’s the fragrance that was missing in the collection on something that would be easy to wear and loved by many. I really think this should be one of the permanent ones in the line, I don’t know how long they’re gonna keep it in the market or if it’s just limited edition but I can definitely understand how this has been one of the best sellers.
It’s such a beautiful not overpowering coconut, I think is ideal for the hot hot days where do you want something that is not going to suffocate you with the humidity. Do you live in a warm climate? 😃
This Mugler fragrance is the only one i like. I can't stand Angel and all his flankers but even tho i like Alien line i haven't own any because they a little bit heavy and too "loud" for me to wear.... Alien Goddess on the other hands is realy good and i actually bought a gift set 😚 Beautifull
That’s amazing, gift sets are the best you get so many extra goodies. I strongly believe that’s exactly why they came out with this flanker to definitely appeal to the audiences that were not too much into the other fragrances for Mugler
I actually really love this flanker! My favorite out of Eau Sublime and Eau Extraordinaire... I agree though, that it should have been released for summer, at the end of Springtime. Would have made more sense, but I'm not mad or disappointed lol

I think that they actually knew what they were doing when they launched this fragrance, I love this fragrance for the summertime and warmer weather. I love this fragrance. I think this fragrance was made for people like me - I have never liked the original Angel or Alien - the Patchouli was always soooo overwhelming for me. I always wanted to like them and I always wanted a Mugler fragrance. This is right up my alley. It smells very Vanilla / Cashmere to me with just a hint of bergamot. I don't smell coconut at all (and I adore coconut.) The reason why people are disappointed is because of their expectations. Exactly what you said. They're expecting something similar to the original Alien or one of the previous flankers. As a standalone it's great and finally - there's a Mugler perfume I enjoy. :)

I loved it, to me I thought it’d be more vanilla which I don’t smell but it’s a good everyday fragrance for me. Smells like a rich women lol. Do you have any other perfumes that smell like this so that when they discontinue it I can have some thing similar?
I agree it does smell a little rich, he’s hard to find again coconut fizz smells very similar but it’s not powerful enough it still stays too much like a Freschi besides that one I would say Vanilla Vibes could be similar have you tried that one?
It does sound like a lot of other fragrances I have ,I don’t have any of the others so I’d like to try them all ,I o my own alien Essence absolue and of course it’s a power house and great for winter

Great review! I like how you balanced the expectations compared to what was actually released. I got a few samples and tried it. I don’t love it, but I don’t dislike it either. The opening is okay, but the dry down not for me. I love the original dark Alien and will probably have that in my collection for ever maybe 😂, but this one is not my cup of tea.
That’s exactly what the true alien lovers are experiencing they want and expect a type of performance from the house of Mugler at all times and I can understand that I like my beast mode sense for sure, But then when I look at people that don’t like those type of sound profiles and are hoping to get something lighter that they can actually enjoy and then I can see how the house is trying to target and please stop market as well That’s what happened to me with Angel, I can’t stand Angel and I was waiting for the longest time for a flanker that I could actually use until the summer when iced star came out is the only one that I can actually wear, so although it’s very different from the original Angle I was super happy because I had finally found an angel that could work for me 🥰.

I am loving it Moraima. It is subtle and pretty. I wear it for work ( I am a civil litigation lawyer so can’t wear too ostentatious fragrances at Court) and I have had a few compliments.
For sure I agree if you liked coconut fizz but it wasn’t strong enough it was too much like a body splash than this one is going to give you more of a perfume experience, let me know if you get it how it works out on you 🤗

It really depends what you’re looking for, if you want some thing that is super sweet, casual, or going out. Alien goddess is at their latest release and it’s a vanilla coconut very summery type of perfume and it’s a very fresh that doesn’t have a loud projection.
I got Covid and I blind bought this without being able to smell it. How long does it last!? I’m trying to wear perfume again even though I cannot enjoy it and I want to smell nice again 😅
It’s a very personal perfume so it’s not gonna be a very loud perfume is going to last probably like 3 to 4 hours it’s not supposed to be a very strong perfume

I thought this blind buy can’t be bad I will open it and for sure won’t regret. Well unfortunately it’s not really as pleasant as I thought. Too much bergamot making it’s too soapy on my skin. And longevity is a disaster. Don’t feel like summer fragrance, don’t feel like vanilla much which is a biggest problem to me. I wasn’t expecting it would turn into bed time fragrance for me because of its lightness and softness. In general 5/10. Not worth the money I paid. It can be pleasant after spraying I won’t say no, but 2 hours and it’s really gone in my case.
Yes I can see that love a lot of people were disappointed with how light the scent was after getting the impression that it was going to be something magnetizing and potentially powerful. But it’s a nice send nevertheless if you want something light and summary.
It could potentially work many fragrances that have citrus and bergamot work well for men and if you have smelled Creed virgin island water this could be a potential similarity to that one you were just have to try it, if you pass by a counter just price on your arm and see how it develops with your skins chemistry
I’m gutted over the reformulations and can never forgive…Thierry Mugler scents were confident, mysterious, signature, unique and edgy. Now they are ghosts of themselves. Commercialized, nothing special, watered down, run o’ the mill. I’m dead.

I got to smell the Alien and Alien goddess for the first time 3 weeks ago and I feel like goddess smells way more than the OG. Am I missing something or is my nose not working properly. To me the OG just disappears super fast .
If you’re referring that you smelled alien the original the purple bottle that one comes in a EDT and also an EDP so it depends which one you got a chance to smell, it seems like it’s still has a really good performance despite the fact that the company got sold out Goddess is definitely more of a light floral with a coconut touch and the original it’s more of a jasmine/ tuberose heavy perfume. Also depending where you smelled it hopefully the bottle wasn’t too old for the tester, but sometimes it’s like that we smell some thing one day and it smells totally different than it was if we smell it another day so if you get a chance to smell it again let me know your thoughts 😃

You are right and you are so wrong! No one expected another bomb! But no one expected another coconut freshy. You said it yourself. Its nice but its just nothing special. And released for the wrong season. That just all! Its good but just like everything else.

I have alien goddess. I think it smells like an older woman who is also sexy and mature. It’s also one that you definitely do not over spray because it can be sickening and overwhelming.

Loved this review. I agree with you regarding the expectations of the release. I thought the original Alien was too strong but I love this. I live in a warmer climate and I find it transitioning very nicely into fall.
It’s perfect for a warmer climate, I think because of the current circumstances of the world they couldn’t release early enough in the summertime for us in US and Canada and that’s why it came a little bit later in the year. But if they would’ve done a little bit more of a tropical campaign and it came out in the summertime it would’ve been better received. It’s all about perception people had the perception it was going to be a deeper perfume, but it’s not a bad one whatsoever it’s a nice fresh coconut vanilla 🥰

I love Alien Goddess so much, so I almost broke my promise to myself that I won't buy any more.....not before I use up at least 1 full bottle of those 73 gorgeous fragrances i already have 😵💫🤣
I know the feeling, sometimes we just have to take a break and just use everything we have, I’ve personally have come to the acceptance that I don’t go out enough to use a full bottle and now with a channel obviously my collection is going to have to keep on growing but I’m trying to be super strategic
I always try to use the one in one out roll whenever possible so if I bring in one your fragrance I have to take one fragrance that I don’t use very often out whether it is for donation or to salad or to pass it along to someone. And that definitely helps slow down the amount of shopping and considering bringing in something new 😄

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Yes, the marketing was problematic, but there are many of us who are disappointed because recent releases have not met Mugler standards. Goddess is an EDP and performs like an EDT, and it is pretty generic in terms of its complexity and has really nothing to do with the OG. This is very out-of-character for this house. Since Loreal took over, it feels like they are trying to make Mugler more mass appealing while simultaneously cutting costs, but by doing so, they are alienating the house's devotees. You are right, it's a nice scent that smells like so many others on the market, but Mugler is loved for its avant-garde approach to fragrances and outstanding quality. Goddess is not that and Willow Smith deserves better.

She’s a stunning model and the fragrance does not match the marketing. I’m not bothered that she comes from money, but to be fair, there would be thousands of other stunning Black models that could easily take her place. I 100% feel the same about L’Oréal.

Although I live in Puerto Rico, I will wait for the hottest months to wear Goddess. I do not recognize the Alien's DNA in this flanker and was not impressed at first but I have grown to love it. I picked up a full bottle from Nordstrom's the day it premiered and it's gorgeous! It was still warm outside and it wore very well and it garners compliments. So different from the OG but that's what makes it amazing for me, very unexpected. I'm so confused about the negative reviews. Thanks for this video!😊

There were a few people that were not happy with how soft the fragrance is they’re so used to having a deeper stronger presence type of fragrance there was a little bit of controversy but I think as time goes on a lot of people are more acceptance of the fragrance
I would have liked more coconut and less powder. Powdery scents smell like a grandma but the bergamot helps tone that a little. I like it & bought it for my wife, she loves it....nice
I agree with you I always prefer more coconut less powder. So other to consider Angel Iced star, Dolce Garden by D&G or coconut fizz by Guerlain
I blind bought it I was surprised by it not really realizing coconut was in it. It’s nice not ground breaking but I will continue to wear it through the fall as well.

Thank you for reviewing this on it's merit, rather than against the Alien expectations. Frag heads and reviewers have been hard on this fragrance, but if you check the reviews on Sephora you will see that this perfume has been extremely well received by the perfume buying public. It has by far the highest rating of any of the Mugler fragrances they carry. And while I get that people with expectations were disappointed, that didn't stop it from selling up a storm. It's also a very safe gifting fragrance. I think it's beautiful.
I think you hit the nail on the head, this fragrance is definitely crowd placing it’s the fragrance that was missing in the collection on something that would be easy to wear and loved by many.
I really think this should be one of the permanent ones in the line, I don’t know how long they’re gonna keep it in the market or if it’s just limited edition but I can definitely understand how this has been one of the best sellers.

This Mugler fragrance is the only one i like. I can't stand Angel and all his flankers but even tho i like Alien line i haven't own any because they a little bit heavy and too "loud" for me to wear.... Alien Goddess on the other hands is realy good and i actually bought a gift set 😚 Beautifull
That’s amazing, gift sets are the best you get so many extra goodies. I strongly believe that’s exactly why they came out with this flanker to definitely appeal to the audiences that were not too much into the other fragrances for Mugler
I actually really love this flanker! My favorite out of Eau Sublime and Eau Extraordinaire... I agree though, that it should have been released for summer, at the end of Springtime. Would have made more sense, but I'm not mad or disappointed lol

I think that they actually knew what they were doing when they launched this fragrance, I love this fragrance for the summertime and warmer weather. I think that the only people they got disappointed are the people that were expecting some thing just deeper and stronger but I’m definitely enjoying it more and more.

I love this fragrance. I think this fragrance was made for people like me - I have never liked the original Angel or Alien - the Patchouli was always soooo overwhelming for me. I always wanted to like them and I always wanted a Mugler fragrance. This is right up my alley. It smells very Vanilla / Cashmere to me with just a hint of bergamot. I don't smell coconut at all (and I adore coconut.)
The reason why people are disappointed is because of their expectations. Exactly what you said. They're expecting something similar to the original Alien or one of the previous flankers. As a standalone it's great and finally - there's a Mugler perfume I enjoy. :)

I loved it, to me I thought it’d be more vanilla which I don’t smell but it’s a good everyday fragrance for me. Smells like a rich women lol. Do you have any other perfumes that smell like this so that when they discontinue it I can have some thing similar?
I agree it does smell a little rich, he’s hard to find again coconut fizz smells very similar but it’s not powerful enough it still stays too much like a Freschi besides that one I would say Vanilla Vibes could be similar have you tried that one?

There is no coconut note in this at all, it’s vanilla. I’m not a vanilla fan and it’s absolutely divine.
Thin one might be for me since I don't like how strong the og is.

Great review! I like how you balanced the expectations compared to what was actually released. I got a few samples and tried it. I don’t love it, but I don’t dislike it either. The opening is okay, but the dry down not for me. I love the original dark Alien and will probably have that in my collection for ever maybe 😂, but this one is not my cup of tea.
That’s exactly what the true alien lovers are experiencing they want and expect a type of performance from the house of Mugler at all times and I can understand that I like my beast mode sense for sure, But then when I look at people that don’t like those type of sound profiles and are hoping to get something lighter that they can actually enjoy and then I can see how the house is trying to target and please stop market as well
That’s what happened to me with Angel, I can’t stand Angel and I was waiting for the longest time for a flanker that I could actually use until the summer when iced star came out is the only one that I can actually wear, so although it’s very different from the original Angle I was super happy because I had finally found an angel that could work for me 🥰.
I have come to realize I’m just not an Alien girl….but you are a doll and I love your joy. 🥰

I am loving it Moraima. It is subtle and pretty. I wear it for work ( I am a civil litigation lawyer so can’t wear too ostentatious fragrances at Court) and I have had a few compliments.

It really depends what you’re looking for, if you want some thing that is super sweet, casual, or going out. Alien goddess is at their latest release and it’s a vanilla coconut very summery type of perfume and it’s a very fresh that doesn’t have a loud projection.
I got Covid and I blind bought this without being able to smell it. How long does it last!? I’m trying to wear perfume again even though I cannot enjoy it and I want to smell nice again 😅
It’s a very personal perfume so it’s not gonna be a very loud perfume is going to last probably like 3 to 4 hours it’s not supposed to be a very strong perfume

I thought this blind buy can’t be bad I will open it and for sure won’t regret. Well unfortunately it’s not really as pleasant as I thought. Too much bergamot making it’s too soapy on my skin. And longevity is a disaster. Don’t feel like summer fragrance, don’t feel like vanilla much which is a biggest problem to me. I wasn’t expecting it would turn into bed time fragrance for me because of its lightness and softness. In general 5/10. Not worth the money I paid. It can be pleasant after spraying I won’t say no, but 2 hours and it’s really gone in my case.
Time for me to return to alien.i hate hate the og.i gave it away!

Yes I can see that love a lot of people were disappointed with how light the scent was after getting the impression that it was going to be something magnetizing and potentially powerful. But it’s a nice send nevertheless if you want something light and summary.

It could potentially work many fragrances that have citrus and bergamot work well for men and if you have smelled Creed virgin island water this could be a potential similarity to that one you were just have to try it, if you pass by a counter just price on your arm and see how it develops with your skins chemistry
I’m gutted over the reformulations and can never forgive…Thierry Mugler scents were confident, mysterious, signature, unique and edgy. Now they are ghosts of themselves. Commercialized, nothing special, watered down, run o’ the mill. I’m dead.

I got to smell the Alien and Alien goddess for the first time 3 weeks ago and I feel like goddess smells way more than the OG. Am I missing something or is my nose not working properly. To me the OG just disappears super fast .
If you’re referring that you smelled alien the original the purple bottle that one comes in a EDT and also an EDP so it depends which one you got a chance to smell, it seems like it’s still has a really good performance despite the fact that the company got sold out
Goddess is definitely more of a light floral with a coconut touch and the original it’s more of a jasmine/ tuberose heavy perfume.
Also depending where you smelled it hopefully the bottle wasn’t too old for the tester, but sometimes it’s like that we smell some thing one day and it smells totally different than it was if we smell it another day so if you get a chance to smell it again let me know your thoughts 😃

I have alien goddess. I think it smells like an older woman who is also sexy and mature. It’s also one that you definitely do not over spray because it can be sickening and overwhelming.
