All my life I have been raised a Christian, was told I was a Christian, and that I believe in Christianity. As an adult I started questioning Christianity and realized the I do not believe in almost every aspect of it. For a few years I have been on a spiritual journey and a while ago came across Hinduism. I since have discovered that every ounce of me believes and knows, that the Hinduism is the path for me. Thank you for these educational videos. They have already taught me so much and I cant wait to dive deep with knowledge. I always knew my beliefs were different than Christianity. Its because of Hinduism I now know where myself and my beliefs fit into this world and to figure out my purpose.

I'm on the same journey, from Christianity, now exploring Hinduism.
I remember visiting a Hindu temple when I was 14-ish years old. And I thought "wow, this temple feels evil. All these other gods".
I was so indoctrinated, I'm embarassed to admit.
Now I'm starting to see the beauty, of this religion, which is non-theistic at its core, which suits me beautifully!
But I also agree wholeheartedly with a lot of the principles, it just feels "right".

Our schools back home in India are committing unpardonable crime by not introducing us to these basic lessons in Hinduism in the name of Secularism which sadly everyone uses only to their benefit but really uncaring for any real recognition in the equality of all religions. Other faiths may disagree but clearly all faiths are barely comparable when it comes to embracing other faiths such as done by Hindus. Only Hinduism accords equal footing to other religions even when these other faiths unequivocally refute not the claims of other religions but don't consider them deserving any respect. Wonderful intro cant wait to finish the rest of episodes. By Gods grace I wish to complete in the next 9 days.

Thanks Mr. Lakhani for your invaluable contribution for bringing clarity on Sanatan Dharma. Dharma is and must be evolutionary because we are never in the same situation where every moment, everything is changing, so we need a dynamic teaching. All the great Masters emphasize on the power of Now and Here. That's why we have 4 vedas to encounter ignorance and hindus are so courageous that they declared now throw these vedas and gave birth to Vedant. Upanishad were expounded. Nanak the pioneer of a new version of Dharma declared: even if you have 100 moons and 1000 Suns which brings so much light, but without a Guru you will remain in utter darkness. A true Guru will not force you to believe, on the contrary He encourages you to ask and doubt everything. It is the most auspicious journey and dialogue between disciple and Guru which enlightens the seeker. That's why sikh is the one who is seeking and learning. Each person is unique and Guru knows it and takes care of each individual personally.

Life, unlike a still lake, is an ever flowing river without beginning and end. That which has no beginning and end is called Satanata. If a Dharma (A way of life close to Mother Nature) becomes a ‘way of life’ that life is called Sanatana way of life . If anyone finds and follows that which has no beginning and no end , becomes a Sanatani. Freedom to find one’s own path to his/her true Home, is the essence of Sanatana Dharma.

Elaborating the end of this video.
    1. The Swan. The Hansa forms the 4th symbol. Hinduism is incomplete without the Hansa. Great Saints are thus called ParamaHansa.
    2. The Gayatri mantra is originally called Savitr Mantra. Savitr implies effulgence as Lakhani ji mentioned. The She denotes Nature ... Prakriti. Hence Hinduism is about understanding the Nature of Reality which means Satt.

Totally agree. Part of the reason for the caste system is the introduction of Islam in India. It was used as a tool for control and power. However, prior to the rigid caste system, people could pass from caste to caste. Which is a beautiful example of how religions evolve (or devolve depending on how you look at it) but we all must find our own truth. Namaste 🙏

Swastika in Hinduism comes with 4 dots at four of its corner . Its a minimum 5000 years old symbol for good luck . Nazi Hitler uses the same symbol with diff angle & without dots but in for him its Hakenkruz : "hooked cross" as per old christian symbols. Hitler took that symbol from a church in Austria where he was born. he never called it swastika.

What is Hinduism? The basis of Hinduism is karma. This means if you act right in this world you can become something greater.
Hinduism has different gods and goddesses due to peoples desires.
The basic of Hinduism is that people are reborn till the end of times.
That’s basically Hinduism, now you can look at certain gods or goddesses
Every god has a different teaching. A lot of people prefer certain gods over others. Often people like to learn a teaching or a philosophy of a certain god.
In the center of Hinduism there is the Trimurti Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. These gods are the highest in Hinduism
Brahma stands vor creation, Vishnu stands for maintaining and shiva for destruction / renew.
One can say the main goddess of Hinduism is sarasvati as Hinduism itself is her teaching. The light of sarasvati is Hinduism.
Hinduism is mainly meant for the purpose that this world is forever.
Other important goddesses are for example Lakshmi, Kali and Gayatri.
Lakshmi stands for godly wisdom. Kali for killing and Gayatri is brightness of the day.
Worshipped is also Ganesha. Ganesha is the god that you get yours. Sarasvati says this god is worshipped early in humans, later other gods should be worshipped.
    These are literal Hinduism basics

  • @ArroEL922
    @ArroEL922 Рік тому

In summary, Hinduism originated about 5,000 years ago by some men who were searching for the meaning of life (sanatan dharma). So, it is a man-made religion. This lecture does not deal with the concept of god (an impersonal but conscious force field - the monotheistic Atman) , and what the greeting "Namaste" actually means (the little part of god that is me recognizes the little part of god that is you). I suppose these are left for later lectures. I will admit that it is a cohesive religion. But, no thanks. Born into Hinduism but left it for something better: Christianity.

That's a false teaching of Christianity. There isn't a single verse in the bible were Jesus says he is God. He said HALLOWED BE "THY NAME".. HE DIDN'T SAY HALLOWED BE "MY NAME".
One place he says I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE.. It's means in quality they're one, in quantity there not one.
BEWARE of false prophets, teaching all rubbish & giving their own enterpretation of holy books. It's happening in all religions.
