I swear to god every time I see my old band's (that was sad to say) pin on Dan's hat I get super excited. The show we played with them, while not our best or our biggest, was probably my favorite. They're both sweethearts, and it was a total honor to play with them. I hope more people get into them really soon. They deserve all the attention they can get.

it doesn't look like it.. looks too thick to be electric. but I could be wrong. shrug.
No. I think I was playing with D'Addario 13s (mediums). Those mini Martins are good for travelling but don't have the best tone. They are made of composite, not real wood, and don't fully resonate like a good acoustic guitar should. By the time we did this video, we were about 50 days into a tour and had gone through the desert, so that guitar was beat to hell.

I was trying to figure out how to play "never trust a man who plays guitar" when I wrote this song , chords for the verses are exactly the same C E Am F
Throw a capo on the 5th fret and it's the same exact progression of one of my other songs I Listened. Also same progression as the song "First Day of my Life" by Bright Eyes which is how I first learned it. C, an E variation, Am, F is a default chord progression I gravitated towards a lot when I first started playing and writing because that Bright Eyes song was the first song I learned to cover when I picked up guitar in rehab in 2014.
Lyrics and melody are what makes a song what they are. Anyone who thinks they wrote an original chord progression in a major key is lying
I'm very upfront about my influences, there is no reason not to be. 6 months ago I made a post on our Facebook page joking about how I ripped off the chord progression from Never Trust a Man to write this song and it went kinda viral. OP probably saw it and reposted it for the likes, timeline of their comment makes perfect sense. or, they just heard what is plainly obvious if you pay attention to chord progressions
