I once heard someone say in a theory that in the Give Gifts, Give Life minigame, Charlie is giving the animatronics their memories back and showing them who and what they are now, and it sounds very similar to Vanessa trying to get Jeremy to remember who he is and where is he now

I actually intepret the "It needs you" line more as "Glitchtrap needs you to escape" playing on the "You're the one closer to him, so don't help him out!". I think it is more fitting. I also saw the interpretation of "She needs you" as Mystic Hippo talking about "Jeremy" having to destroy Glitchtrap and save Cassie, although I don't know if I fully believe this.
Overall, i love the tone and theorizing of the video. It's really amazing. You're one of my favourite FNAF youtubers!!

I saw a theory today, about the original fnaf building having no windows because they think it's in a mall.
woah I never considered that but I mean not uncommon for these kind of restaurants to be in a mall/shopping center.
With the great amount of rabbit imagery the HW2 protagonist is associated with (he unknowingly aids Glitchtrap or Vanny depending on the ending, his finding the Bonnie Mask familiar, Cassie said Bonnie was his favorite assuming he's her father, and him inhabiting the STAFF/MAP/MASK BOT that wears bunny ears) I've been getting *strong* vibes that he is going to possess Glamrock Bonnie (which would be especially fitting if he truly is the Bonnie Bully from FNAF 4).
And if he does, I truly hope Michael Afton makes a return. He can come back as a living human (that's fine) but I think it would also be especially appropriate if he does as Glamrock Freddy.
Also, I really wish they kept Vanny's lines and her giving the poppets to the player. I don't care if the story would have been too obvious. Because then we would have had a *STORY.* It's probably the one thing the original Help Wanted does infinitely better than its successor: *it has an actual story.* As such we are able to get invested in the fate of our player character and the side characters and have something to look forward to for the next installment.
HW2 had me questioning why we were doing anything anymore after a certain point since it seemed like we were just doing the jobs for the sake of them (which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it got tedious really fast for me).
And that's not even getting into the fact that Vanny was *heavily underutilized AGAIN* even after the negative reception that got from Security Breach. This game could have salvaged her reputation even just a little but, for whatever reason, they decided to trim her down. Or throw her into the game last minute? I really shouldn't speculate too much on their reasoning but I will say seeing Vanny in one of the endings (when we didn't even think she would have been mentioned in it so it feels like she came out of nowhere) kind of infuriated me. All of this seems to set her up as striking out on her own for another installment but we really needed that throughline.
Fingers crossed 🤞 that any upcoming DLC for HW2 will not only bring her back but does so fully and meaningfully.
I totally empathize with wanting them to keep the OG plan for Vanny. There was and is still plenty of mystery without making her role so cryptic just to have her be there right at the end anyway.

I really like the direction you took with this one. I completely agree that Vanny doesnt fit the jealousy motivation. You're 100% right about her being reluctant. So it follows that I absolutely love your interpretation. More needs to be said about digital consciousness transfer! I have a few bits I disagree with (I'm still not sure Princess Quest was the canon SB ending - i like some of the other explanations) but overall this was a super satisfying theory. Excellent work :3

I really loved the running gag of the credits, that was hilarious! I 100% agree with everything said, and I’ve never seen anyone use the context of how Baby actually used the line “What makes you so special” in the books, I think we might move away from Vanny, and Glitchtrap being the main villains, to Mimic, and maybe Baby if they continue with the teases towards Baby. Sorry I missed it live btw, I meant to come back, but I got busy…😅
Things I think.
1. I think it’s very possible that Vanny/VANNI will betray or surpass glitchtrap and become her own villain, I also feel like Vanny/VANNI herself is the mask that possesses anyone who wears her mask, first Vanessa but now Cassie, and I don’t think they’ll be the only ones.
2. I think glitchtrap could possibly possess Cassie’s dad body as a way to interact with the real world.
3. The mimic could possibly lead to the fnaf universes equivalent of the technological singularity theory.
4. I think it’s possible that matpats old theory about the cult of Glitchtrap will come to fruition, we know that Glitchtrap can influence/corrupt the minds of anyone who’s wearing a headset associated with VR or AR and the VANNI mask themselves use not VR and AR and are used by fazbear class V technicians so maybe glitchtrap will raise an army of brainwashed technicians who can build him a new animatronic body.
I might have an idea as to why All of this game happens. The graves, the puppets, And vanny helping him "Remember." If Jeremy is in fact one of the Bullies from Fnaf4, and Jeremy Fitzgerald From Fnaf2, He may have not "repressed" his memories, but completely forgot them. Maybe he was in fact the victim of the Bite of 87, since he had to stay close to the animatronics. as phone guy says, The victim lost his frontal lobe. maybe the incident lead to Jeremy losing all his memories prior to the incident.
although, that might not make any sense now. There's just too many jeremys!
The quote "remember Jeremy has been here since Help wanted 1, So, There is a high chance that this Jeremy is the jeremy from Help wanted. But would that mean he cut his face off?
I enjoy that idea! But yeah. The issue with Jeremy being the one to cut his face off is if HW1 takes place before the pizzaplex was built. I feel like that's the weakest link in my wish for Bonnie Bro/Cassie's dad to be guillotine paper cutter Jeremy. The Christmas DLC for HW1 shows the pizzaplex being built, but it's hard to tell if that's timeline lore or just a teaser for Security Breach.
My mind leans towards timeline lore unfortunately, but I ALSO find it highly suspect that we get the "Remember Jeremy?" achievement from HW2 after HW1 TOLD US EXPLICITLY to remember Jeremy.
Like, COME ON. I am working on a full Jeremy timeline but that is one sticking point that really messes me up.
This video is amazing! I totally agree with you. "What makes you so special?" The fact that Jeremy was the 'first' outsider (not Emily, nor Afton) who did something wrong in this universe, makes him special, i think.
Hot Take: The real ending to Security Breach was everything BUT the rescue Vanny ending.
By this I mean, Gregory drew those endings because they happened in part, to HIM. Gregory doesn't complete Princess Quest and save Vanny, Jeremy [or whoever is in the princess quest notes is] does.

I've been very reluctant about Vanny's rising because it would imply that Vanessa is not free from GT (despite of the ending plus the arcade machine prove it) but I didn't think about that possibility.
One theory I have been thinking on is what if Cassie dad has been trying to atone a while, I have a couple examples one is based off of Fuhnaff's recent theory in where he actually worked at sister location before Michael, my second example is Henny saying to Michael that his position wasn't intended for him which cause me to think that the position was intended for someone else, and my last idea is that Cassie's dad could be the the rouge indie developer

I haven't played the game yet, but I'm pretty sure that multiple endings in Security Breach are canon. Each ending would represent 1 night that Gregory spent at the Pizzaplex.
With how much Cassie's dad was hyped after Ruin to him likely being HW2's player, I often read the quote as some meta commentary. I never considered TFC for a link. I haven't read into it, and I've a rather negative impression on it.
But I could certainly see Mystic Hippo tying to Vanny.

Love this! It hits way harder than a jealousy angle!
I personally feel like the Fourth Closet Baby connection feels like a bit of a stretch in terms of storytelling. If Fourth Closet was a more recent book or the 'what makes you so special' rant/scene was more of a repeated theme in the story instead of the one part of a larger rant, it'd feel like more of a natural call back. But then again FNaF and its Books are always super messy so maybe im putting too much stock in narrative weight.
I really like the introspective spin on the line though, its definitely a new take.
Personally, I think its a genuine curiosity that comes with the question, as Vanny/Circus Baby/Moon/Mystic Hippo couldnt possibly actually know why Glitchtrap wants Jeremy, a random Fazbear Engineer (maybe Mystic Hippo can, she sees all in her orb and is able to tell Jeremy knows his Faz-Wrench). But if Mimic/Glitchtrap/somehow still William is able to recognize Jeremy as Bonnie Bro, or even just as The Tester Who Got Away, hey thats suddenly a good reason to want that Engineer in particular.
I think that's fair.
Notrealname Notatall's vid helped convince me of the connection between 4th Closet Circus Baby and Vanessa, but really the books are hard to use for nearly any theory.
Steel Wool has pulled enough from the og novel trilogy that I'm comfortable making the connection, but I understand the hesitation.

If it were up to me what I would do with Vanny/VANNI as a character is instead of making her vanessa or Cassie directly I would have her as a digital entity of some kind (much like glitchtrap and MXES) that runs the VANNI unit but starts out as a glitch but is given life by glitchtrap, but because she’s a digital entity she can’t interact with the real world and so she attempts to use the mask to possess the body of anyone and try to steal their identity (in this case first Vanessa but then Cassie’s), in that way they would be 2 separate people while sharing 1 body and the only way to truly defeat her is to shut down the VANNI unit for good and destroy all the mask.
I would image vanny would have a very resentful and envious nature that combine with her unstable mental state.
I could imagine that she would eventually get tired of trying to steal a human host body and decide to create her own animatronic body or a humanoid android boy so she can wear her rabbit costume.

Yes, in a way. Over time my opinion has evolved, but there are a number of sci-fi movies that explore this idea of "what is a person?" As in, is a person's identity contained in their consciousness? If a consciousness can be preserved inside a robot, is that still the same person?
The movie Chappie is a really good example of this question, although I do not support Die Antwoord who star in the film. The entire movie is centered around a man who works to find a way to store someone's digital consciousness into a chip, including all of their personality traits and memories, so that they can live forever inside an android's body.
Chappie is a robot within the movie who is an advanced AI and seems to develop just like a child (is all of this sounding similar to the Mimic program?)
Tbh the similarities between this movie and the Mimic are endless and I'm probably going to make a video about it.
@@ShesNervous i see, because Fnaf is no stranger to having human consciousness in robots it was there sense the first game, but what’s different is that we know for the fact that the haunted animatronics are still the same people.
Because they have the actual consciousness’ of the dead children AKA their souls, and not clones of them.

My opinion: If it means anything, it means robot people in this part of the franchise also have organic parts (so more like cyborg in a way I suppose) and that pod is where the organic matter is grown. Or something synthetic that is so close to organic matter that they behave similarly.

All the reasons I said in the vid - she's connected to all 3 characters, she'd be the one to know the most about Jeremy bc Vanessa worked with him, Vanny and Hippo have similar voices (dang near identical imo), plus we know for a fact the mystic hippo clue lines at the very least are connected to Vanny because she's giving Jeremy direct instructions to go play Princess Quest.
