I love the idea that Las Casas saved the old houses from being decayed on its original location. Now the old houses have new place where they are valued and well taken care of
Las Casas de Acuzar Filipinas should truly be one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in our country .. fantastic and amazing how they were able to restore and recreate these historical colonial houses and architecture ..
The Baliuag House inside Las Casas is the ancestral home of Capitan Fernando Vergel De Dios, an ancestor of mine on my mom's side. It originally stood in the town of Baliwag, province of Bulacan. Another trivia: Las Casas became the set where the critically acclaimed Filipino movie "Quezon's Game" was shot. The film is about then Philippine President Manuel Quezon's noble open door policy giving refuge to Jews fleeing the Nazi regime during the Holocaust.
Yes! We are probably related. Unfortunately, when they rebuilt it at Azucar, it was not identical to the house in Baliuag.
@@mariago118 are you in the Vergel de Dios Family Group created by Gary Vergel de Dios? The Vergel de Dios clan's roots can be traced to Bulacan, particularly Baliwag where Tinno Vergel de Dios was mayor in the '70's. But they are spread in different towns of Bulacan like San Rafael, Bustos, Angat, Pulilan, etc. due to migration.
@@violetcastro1057 Hello! Just out of curiosity, when the Baliuag House was transferred to Las Casas how did the management reach out to your family? Were there some people who objected the transfer of location?
Now imagine if the Philippines was not destroyed during WWII
We might be one of the richest country Along with Japan...
Every countries were destroyed in WW2 and the subsequent conflicts. Germany and Poland were flatten, Japan took two atom bombs. In Asia, Korea and Vietnam had bloody conflicts until the 50s and 70s. Yet they are coming back stronger. Stop blaming WW2, colonization, and typhoons for your lack of progress and lack of leadership (which is voted by the Filipino people themselves).

@@Gibson-vi2ew during World War 2, Philippines especially Manila is the most devastated country during that time, and the economy is doing good that day, we are well developed country during Jose Laurel's administration but the war tooked our hopes back that made the country start from scratch and making progress again to become more developed until the term of Sr.Marcos Administration where we became 2nd most richest Asian Country along with Japan. If Philippines were not destroyed at that time, maybe our economy might/will continue to flourish and become prosperous till this day.
@@Gibson-vi2ewThe Philippine economy was at its peak AFTER the war. We were the second richest country in Asia post-war. Even richer than South Korea and very close toJapan. And yes Manila, the city, the pearl of the orient was the second most devastated city in WWII. I think that commenter missed the point but I think you also did. When we say that the rape of Manila is unfortunate specifically for intangible heritage preservation is the fact that most if not literally all of the city along with it's century-old architecture were flattened and never rebuilt. What we're referring is the heritage lost. And when talking about heritage architecture, war is definitely culprit. just bolstered by lack of initiative to rebuild.
I am truly very peoud to be from BATAAN sooo proud for my country so very proud to be a PINOY❤
Every filipino heritage has a sad story but that makes it unique..
Thank you for promoting the Philippines🇵🇭. You were such a wonderful family. To all the viewers, please don't skip ads. It can help them continue promoting the beauty of our beloved country, the Philippines🇵🇭❤️
You're the best! Thank you so much fri all your encouragement and love!💕💕💕
Ur full of crap! How much they pay u to promote this crap!!????
Any dumbie knows u check about accepting pets! Stupidity!
I can't watch this PHONY CRAP🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
...looks like a combination of German-Italian-Spanish designs but a touch of purely Filipino design ❤, thanks for sharing...pretty amazing!
While very "European or Mediterranean looking"... you'd actually not see these kinds of houses in Spain or any other former Spanish colony. These are a combination of Spanish, Indigenous Filipino and Chinese architecture.
Been there 8 years ago and I really miss the place. I know it has changed a lot, turned more and more beautiful! I hope to see it again this year!
So nice to see the existing historical place like these and every piece in every corner are so beautiful.
Amazing, we're Filipinos but we had no idea such places existed. Thank you Ocampos, for taking us on a tour of these wonderful places here in the Philippines!
Glad you enjoyed it! This place is a gem and I will always recommend it to everyone. The feeling that you get when you enter is indescribable. I had goosebumps! Definitely one of my TOP 10 places to visit in the Philippines 🇵🇭

We stayed at Las Casas for 3 nights last year. Being a history buff, it was an amazing experience. Side trip to Mt. Samat memorial was well worth it as well. Yes, the resort is pricey, but worth the splurge.
Wow. Didn't know such place exists in the Philippines. And just several hours drive away from Manila. Thanks for the tour and info guys. Starting my summer travels vicariously through your videos. 😊
Our pleasure! You definitely must take a drive there, even if you don’t stay overnight. Ahhhh it’s absolutely beautiful!!!!!!
Been there at Las Casas when it just open and loved it. At The time it was just 50% done. Now it looks stunning ….WOW!!!! I would Go back!!! And Oh yeah I am from Bataan. So Thank you for promoting My province❤❤❤ God bless your family and more videos to come.

I'm absolutely blown away with Las Casas. Just speechless. It's a very compelling reason to visit the Philippines for me. It'll be an opportunity to connect with my wife's family too.
Please do! I’m still blown away. It’s absolutely gorgeous! I mean you will get goosebumps as soon as you go down the drive away and see the entrance. It’s absolutely magical!✨🇵🇭
Proud to be a Filipino ❤
Thank you for creating this blog, and so glad as well that your children get to see their cultural heritage and to appreciate the wonderful traditions of the Philippines from era's. Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is truly a resort with a unique way to experience the Philippines as it gives you a glimpse and taste of the country's rich past history thru the differnt original houses transported and restored to its original architectural concept of that era. Love this blog😊❤
Beautiful shots, this was a satisfying video to watch! Such a beautiful place to see🙏🏼
OMG, the place was insane. Just knew this. Thanks for this episode.
I’ve been there. Agree with you, the place is really amazing. How I wish all Filipinos, especially the government, know how to preserve the rich and colorful Spanish inspired culture and tradition.
Wow!!! Amazing resort, I even did not know that a resort like this existed here in the PH.
It’s INCREDIBLE! Still gives me goosebumps just thinking of how special it is to the community, to the country and to all of us.
The music you’ve added on the blog adds flavor to the experience while i am watching. That’s a great selection. A very good taste of everything including music 💙💙💙
I hope foreign vloggers also visit this place to know the Filipino culture not only in the beaches
Yes! There is so much history and culture to learn about🙌🇵🇭
I was at Las Casas Pilipinas de Acuzar in 2022. It was an amazing experience. You brought back some good memories. (I made two vlogs there) Great video!
So cool! You’re a vlogger!!! Nice! I think we could’ve done another vlog too on just touring the property. It’s HUGE!!!!
I love your editing. Very professional. Keep up the good work. You have a great family.
Great vlog! I wouldn’t have added this to my bucketlist had I not seen your vlog. Thinking of celebrating our wedding anniversary here.
I love the cultural influence you are showing the kids. I will definitely bring my kids here when we visit from CA. Thank you!
You can see the creativeness of Filipino artist and architecture excellence in this resort. It is amazing and beyond extra ordinary designs of the buildings there are really beautiful.
Wow, truly a learning experience🇺🇸❤️🇵🇭
As I’m watching your new video, I’m so amazed with the place you’re staying…AND then by now as before the video shown on UA-cam..…mom and dad got some quality time to themselves 🥴🤣😂…no one should be surprised..always be happy❤️❤️❤️.
Amazing content showing the historical houses and the the view was stunning. Thank you for sharing ❤

Glad you like them! Seriously thank you. We REALLY appreciate you!
Ohh this is really beautiful. I love how you explore Philippines and sharing it to all your viewers. 🇵🇭❤🥰
Always!🇵🇭Gotta share the beauty of this country.
how amazing the philippines culture is like you are being back to your roots with a filipino traditional foods..
Yes! Exactly! This place is dreamy!🇵🇭
Your son should start his own food review channel. He is so good at it!
If you want to go somewhere new, this place is perfect. There's not a lot of guests/tourists even on peak seasons. It's pretty isolated though. If you want to go to leave and go the city center to eat and stuff, it's a far drive.
This place really shocked us. I didn’t expect the vibe there. Not only is it stunning, but it has a rich history AND it’s magical. So hard to explain☺️
Saw you crossing 5th Avenue in BGC last Sunday evening, heading towards Central Square. You're so pretty! 😊
Beautiful video and I love your charming family! I love the architecture! This is a very well done video showing the historical houses and beautiful details. I like that the place isn't crowded. Relaxing!
Yes!! I suggested this place! I am so glad you made it there. I knew you would enjoy the place. I know you have Spanish roots and that's the main reason why. And of course, the place is breathtaking! Thank you for bringing us quality content guys! God bless!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES..THANK YOU GUYS FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL VIDEO..LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE THAT PLACE SOOONN....
Always happy seeing your family traveling and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the Philippines. I hope Lockwoods too.😊
WOW this resort is AMAZING!!!!! The historical facts and architectural history of the houses are fabulous. This place so BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE the old Spanish houses. I would LOVE to visit this place, I don’t know if I can afford it, I’m actually visiting Manila next month. This place is expensive. Thank you for showing us this FABULOUS resort.
Those are not Spanish houses but Arquitectura Mestiza(hybrid architecture)... A combination of Native Filipino, Chinese, and Spanish architecture.
Thanks for sharing your experience in this Spanish-style era. It is a must-to-go-to visit when we come back home again.
Thank you for showing such beautiful places to visit.
Our pleasure!😊We love to travel and have new experiences. Las Casas is absolutely beautiful!🥹🇵🇭
Hopefully we can experience the beauty of this place and thanks for the sharing of this astonishing resort...
I hope so too! It’s mesmerizing🙌🇵🇭Definitely one of my top 10 places to visit in the Philippines🇵🇭
wow. I see this place from the other vlogs. and I realize that it's really true that Experience is priceless. You've just experience the life of Filipino's Maginoo( noble Man) way back the spanish Era in the Philippines in the 16th century. Thanks for sharing the experience. 🙂🙂🙂Keep on sharing nice videos MomDuty. 🤟🙂
Walking down the history, enjoying both the landscape and seascape, then savoring culinary delights and appreciating the cultural heritage, truly make the Las Casas experience superb and incomparable. Old world charm enjoyed in these contemporary time, truly worth it!
Thank you for sharing. Wish we could afford to be there too. Keep enjoying the Philippines.
Wow! This place is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!❤️
I never knew that such an amazing place existed. It's a shame because it is in my own country. Thank you for this wonderful sharing ❤️.
It is not too late to visit. I have not been too and plan to visit in the future. Lots of places to see not only in the Philippines but around the world. It is not a "shame" but sometimes we do not have the opportunity, resources and time!
So probably a day tour may be enough for visitors who can’t afford to indulge an overnight stay. At least with the package tour, you can explore the place whole day, have a snack or lunch and enjoy the sunset. 😉❤️ It’s nostalgic to be transported back in time. The Oriente Hotel is like a royal palace in Europe and cruising the Esteros Binondo is supposed to be what it’s look like pre war. Unfortunately, Manila was heavily destroyed during WW II that most of the architecture and ancestral houses didn’t survive. That’s why you don’t find any sights of pre war buildings except in Intramuros area.
Love the history and how they were able to restore old houses.
Stayed in bataan over a decade. Used to work for the company. You wouldn’t believe that some of those are authentic parts of hotels and houses came from different parts of the Philippines.
Love Las Casas! We were fortunate to attend a wedding there which was amazing. The views are beautiful at any time of day or night.
Those food critics are absolutely right 🎉
You might want to check out Thunderbird Resort in La Union if you want to feel the Santorini vibes in Greece.
Thanks for sharing this videos. I'm definitely looking forward to visit this place one day.
Come & visit us ❤❤❤
I have never been here, and thank you for sharing this video and bringing us as well, even if it's digitally. ❤
I hope you get to visit one day. It’s so magical✨🇵🇭
We also had our office or Department two nights outing there so many years ago .. but it has improved a lot now
The style or look of Las Casas was based in old Manila like the bay, the sunset, the river .That's where they get the idea of the place.
Oh wow! No wonder. It’s absolutely magical! I hope everyone can visit one day🤞
WoW😊🥰 what a beautiful historical place.
Wooow I thought you're in other country... Didn't expect this amazing place exist in Philippines
Right?! It’s insanely beautiful! I hope everyone gets a chance to go here🥹
You guys should really visit clark freeport it has the biggest water park and huge cultural heritage sites and old Philippines 😊
I’ve been wanting to go here for a while! It looks absolutely stunning!
Las Casas (Bataan) = absolutely majestic and historical ❤

It’s a beautiful place, it’s nice that mom duty blog shows some of the scenic and beautiful places in Philippines that we’ve never known
Love your blogs it’s super fun can’t wait to visit this year
I will definitely put this place into my bucket list of places to see when I visit Philippines. Thank you for sharing!
Mexican and Spanish Influences. Intramuros is also being repaired or renovated, the streets are being changed into cobble stoned, brick ones. I believe, many other Philippine towns and cities like Vigan etc., are also being done the same.
Love that place! Pricey for most of us but I would say it's definitely worth it.
Philippines is not boring. Lots to see and explore!
Exactly! So much to see even locally 🇵🇭
Wow that place is expensive! I want to do that boat with breakfast! I definitely would visit but not staying there.
Beautiful, thanks for sharing. Ingat kayo lagi.
Wow this is the first time someone vlog the inside of azucar cuz usually they just walk outside. This time u actully checked in! Omg! The 6million painting is the same as spolarium, the original painting is by juan luna, one of our heroes.
Also the reenactment was gen luna, bonifacio and aguinaldo all Phil heroes who fought against Spanish colonizers.
And i think they r also afraid mochi will scratch the wood flooring.
SOOOOO COOL!!
George and Lucy of the Juicy vlog had been there. Check their previous vlog of this place
@@El_.5794 yeah but not inside. First time we saw that boat that which tours them n they actually checked in. Juicy just walked n scanned the place.
The Balsa Breakfasf and dinner is a MUST experience when you visit. It’s a beautiful experience to go through the river and see the entire property. Yes, the casa we stayed in was gorgeous. You can feel the history.
Staying over night is so dreamy. Gotta experience the day and night there on the property. It’s gorgeous!🇵🇭🙏So much beautiful history.
@@mimisy9743 Yes, I don’t think they did the day tour which is important to know the history. Glad Mom duty and family stayed overnight and vlogged their experience ❤️
Wow! That place is magical! We briefly visited this place but didn’t stay overnight. Will definitely stay the next time!
Wow. This surely is our next trip! Your vlog is the best about the acuzar.
Beautiful ❤❤❤ thank you for featuring this unique historical interesting place my family is considering to visit stay this place thankyou mom duty ❤
Jose Acuzar who is the owner of this resort is also the current secretary of Human settlement and urban development of the Philippines.
If theres such a thing as 2nd life i wanna be a filipino again our culture esp.our values in life too many to mentioned so proud of my heritage
I’m so happy Mochi get to enjoy the outdoors and not just stay at a day care. Mochi gets to bond with u guys! 🥰😁
I think so too. We love taking her everywhere. It was her first time on a beach and she enjoyed it! 🏝️ 🐻❄️
That place is so beautiful and I gotta say I know they have moved old San Francisco houses before but how the heck do they move those big old homes? Guessing piece by piece? With all the historical value in those homes I'd be afraid they'd get damaged upon moving lol. 😅
Yes, piece by piece.
For those who are wondering why the stairs are usually located outside in most of the old colonial houses in the Philippines, is because it is based on the native Filipino architecture which we call bahay kubo or nipah hut. You see, the nipah hut architecture is typically designed and constructed to be on stilt which elevates the house about 1 to 4 meters above the ground in order to protect the residents from the flood and dangerous animals. Thus, the ground will serve only as a storage area or working area. So when the Chinese and Spanish came to the Philippines and introduced their own construction methodology to the native Filipinos, the Filipinos simply upgraded their own native architecture by adopting and incorporating the Chinese and Spanish influences in terms of construction technology and aesthetics.
Definitely including it in our list. By the way, love your dress. 😊 where can we buy those dresses
Oh thank you so much!!! The first funky dress is from Zara. So comfy and festive. I used the belt of the dress as a bow for my hair🤪
The wine colored dress is from Amazon. OWNGIGI Women's Summer Dresses... www.amazon.com/dp/B0C777VN5S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
@@MomDuty thanks for the info. I've noticed it since you were in Balai Alegria. 😄 the dresses complements you perfectly. 🙂
How was your night at Las Casas? When my family and I stayed overnight in one of their casas, we all heard kids running in the basement of the house that night. The next morning, we asked the care taker, and he admitted to us that the casa we stayed in has a ghost of a kid. 👻 😅
For those who wants to visit Las Casas, you can also take a ferry ride from Mall of Asia, Pasay, to Bataan for 2 hours.
Really WoW! What a place! WoW!
Right?! It’s almost unbelievable!! It left me speechless when I first saw it.
#2 time 3:50 seconds, you just finished checking in. The tall hanging shell lamps, we brought two of them home in 1979, one red and one white. I wired them to
hang in the house. This was when 70 lb boxes were common and no extra cost.
You should have booked the banca ride at night, It's really very beautiful during the night with all the lights on, We have been there twice & we did the banca ride twice at night, & once with full moon!! So magical! 🥰
LOVE, love, love hour videos.
Thank you soooooo much!!!😭😭😭😭
