Now I think I know why your brawl videos are some of my favorite. You aren’t malding at monored the whole time
you know what i gotta say, your reactions to chat is so entertaining like i'm busting up. Love to see you still going strong CGB
Man he really does draw emerakul in an inordinate amount of opening hands.
I love the insta-concede after trying to cruise with Narset out 😂 what a mood
The best Dandan intro is from Sam of "Rhystic Studies" yt channel. Maybe the highest-quality yt content I know of.
3:18 "What is Deadly Coverup in a deck full of singles?" Gets rid of annoying things like Uro, Kroxa, Unstoppable Slasher, any Enduring creatures.
Cover Up's exile effect puts in work in Brawl. It's a hell of a good card.
Also at 6:10 he could've cast Deadly Coverup to make his opponent shuffle their library, getting rid of their commander for a good while
For future streams: Mana Drain's trigger is not a mana ability. For a triggered ability to be considered a mana ability, it has to trigger off another mana ability. So yes, you can counter it!
I always appreciate the vertical facecam since it takes up less space for the same content
Love this long form video with 1 deck.
I have a different vision for Glarb. You run Displacer Kitten, Archaeomancer/Invasion of Arcavios/Saiba Syphoner, and Time Warp/Temporal Manipulation, then try to tutor all of them with your in-color tutors. I have a Bant version of this deck, which has some perks (hello, Kykar! Hello, Farewell!), but Glarb would be even better at finding the combo.
1:18:30 You can stifle mana drain triggered ability
I opened Glarb at the Bloomburrow prerelease and I thought “Finally! A good sultai commander! This is awesome!” Then I built it, but as I was playtesting I realized it sucked, so I was going to remake it, then Foundations rolled around and I opened Muldrotha, and now I have a BETTER sultai commander
But Mul is so expensive! How much different is the build around for mul or is it just a value pile like CGB ?
@@alaingamache3908 I made Mul out of whatever I had. It’s far from optemized, but I have a lot of looting effects and permanent-based removal like Haywire Mite and Seal of Removal. Kaya’s Ghostform is fun because it near-guarantees I untap with Muldrotha. The closest thing I have to a wincon is Painful Quandry, which I also opened in Foundations
@@alaingamache3908It’s mainly a value pile. I took another queue from CGB, and made the deck be able to function even when the commander isn’t in play. I run a lot of cheap looting effects, so I can keep what I want, and discarding isn’t that bad because you get it back later.
I run a lot of permanent-based removal. Haywire Mite is excellent because it’s an artifact and a creature, so I can bring it back twice a turn.
Seal of Removal is a standout card. I put it in as a way to stop blood artist combos, but having it sit in play is a great deterrant because if anyone tries to attack me they know their guy will get bounced. And it’s an enchantment so I can keep getting it back later.
A lot of the time I’ll play Muldrotha on 7 mana so I can put Kaya’s Ghostform on it immediately, which helps me untap with it still alive. I could talk about it all day because building this deck was incredibly fun
Me during the Eluge game: Why didn't CGB cast that fatal push on the Talrand when there was an opening
Me immediately after the game ends: Because it's Fatal Push not Cut Down you idiot.
Haha, glad I wasn't in the chat for that one! Loved the Glarb video!
6:30 such a miss opportunity on the jace +2
Was seeing if anyone else caught this, I was disappointed to see him miss a great opportunity to make them salty scoop.
6:59 making a deck is easy, making sure it can win is the tricky part.
yay brawl
Finally CovertGoBrawl again
I wanted a Glarb deck since Foundation launched :hype:
seethe, unto the bitter end
the Narset! RIP
My wife has a revised lions eye diamond from back in the day, and someone came in and stole all her cards. Truly tragic
Welp, I fell in the Dandan hole
Question for CGB, or another UA-camr:
I watch / listen while I work. So a long video like this may be watched over the course of 8 hours. Does this mess up your analytics?
Its about time you posted a brawl video standard is dumb right now
Honestly i watch you for commander/brawl
can u make a Winter deck for brawl?
6:30 WHY not Jace the Mind Sculptor +2 on your OPPONENT?? Put their Mythweaver Poq from the top to the bottom of their deck? That's cruel AND hilarious and you missed the opportunity?!
Edit: oh, somebody actually did notice that on stream, huh. Only waited 30 secs before writing my comment, my bad.
Edit2: ok, exiling the mighty stupid cat for good was awesome too. Justice restored to the world, the game was epic.
Best format on arena and sultai the best colors. I like the Sultai nashi more though for these colors.
How do you build the deck to use nashi ETB more than once ? Or is it just a big pile of value like CGB ?
@@alaingamache3908 my list is very similar to CGBs deck for Nashi. The most notable card I added that CGB doesn't play is sublime epiphany. Copy nashi + counter + draw, then the nashi that enters can conjure another copy of sublime epiphany. Hard to beat a sublime epiphany every turn.
@ oh yes, that’s a great idea!
1:49:52 so much for that, eh?
I hate land tax
CGB.... I am drunk. I watched you during Covid. When I was with the love of my life. Now I'm here again (In the Phillipines) and I thank you once again for your content. God Bless. Oh...and Christ is King
