very nice to see, thanks for making these... say, thoughts on corrosion on the water side, if fresh only, what's your thoughts after scraping and cleaning, can most of that, or enough be cleaned up with it in the ski just going back and forth like a heater core for cleaning ?? (have a 12f higher water temp out the pisser, fresh only, about 165 hours.. ) the crust you were moving seemed rather loose... I have a borescope that i plan to use to look at the cooling log since i have the older style.. might be able to get that in the passages of the cooler till the bends... any thoughts like vinagar soak, or clr 50/50 or something for the cooler through the hoses ?? just kickin ideas... appreciate your time

I just pulled my fresh water one with 340 hours on it and the part looks 100% perfect. I would leave it be.

@Millennial1031 I used a scope on all the cooling system hoses.. my issue was only in the bottom of the water box, that 90 was plugged solid, might have been sand .. I use to keep it on a lift on a lake like 15 plus years ago.. my cooling system log looked great inside and out. The cooler I was able to get to the Fittings at the cooler, and they looked good.. probably was the corrosion I saw on the garage floor when I brought it back to life after many years. I'm very happy it doesn't look bad..

Quick question, if my TRD doesn’t heat up to operating temperature, but runs fine, should I be worried? My heat works and car runs like normal. It just takes forever for the engine to heat up sometimes 30+ minutes and never gets to operating temperature. Always below. About a 1/4 from C.

So the newer V6 Toyotas have a heating element inside of the thermostat to allow it to open earlier depending on what the PCM sees and wants. The system is very actuate and would absolutely code up and throw an engine light if it sees something it doesn’t like! You should be totally fine!
