Wow, didn't know you could program the battery life % with a replacement battery. That's the reason why resellers always have +95% battery life on older phones. They sell them as all original but they´ve clearly been abused and also have been opened before. Thank you so much for this video, keep it up!
It’s crazy! You can program XR and below batteries without adding a flex also, so I can see how this can be used with bad intent 🙃

Hi, i started with repairing iphones around 4 mounths ago and i want to ask you which tools do you use for screws? because i maybe have cheap ones that breaks easily and do you have any good ones? Also for screen opener do you preheat the screen or just alcohol is enough?
Hey ! Highly recommend tools by iFixIt we’ve been using the same kit for almost 5 years and they come with warranty if you ever have any issues. For the screen we usually heat it unless we know it’s been previously opened but it’s not necessary you can just use alcohol and take your time with it !

I have repaird 2 iphone screes and there was always a issue that the quality was really bad like i am not sure how to describe the black wasnt black more like brown and also sometimes it was glitching all the colors and when i turn off the screen and turn on it was good again. I am not sure if its me or the screens
Aftermarket screen replacements can be a tricky one, there’s many different types of the same screen TFT is probably what you’re using currently (mostly sold on Amazon and eBay) these are cheap replacements and the colours are not great. I would personally go for Soft OLED or OEM screen replacement but that does come at a more expensive price, a good website is m.rewa.tech everything I’ve got on here is great 👍
if someone ever told you to repair a Fairphone it would probably be because it is to easy to repair
We’ve never had a fairphone to repair but I have seen them, super simple to fix. Maybe one day we can get one for a video 😅

ive recently managed to find a mod for an iphone Xr that turns it into a 13 pro max, it includes a flat screen and a flat body, id want to buy it but it involves completely rehousing the phone in a different order, id love to see you do a video on this mod if possible, let me know if youd like a link to the site

Unfortunately Apple does not sell back glass unless it’s for the newer “repairable” phones however you can find lots of high quality glass online from many different places

Why don't you guys replace the adhesive for water resistance?
Hey, that's a good spot. We didn't have one handy, but we managed to keep the original adhesive intact. We also heated the phone to 100 degrees to soften the original adhesive, and it sticks right back on. Quick note: it's hard to seal an opened iPhone without the special press machine that Apple uses to seal their phones. We are planning to get one and use it in our videos as soon as we get enough funds.

Hey! You are correct no new seal, we heated the screen to 100 deg and preserved the adhesive to the best of our ability we didn’t have a generic seal on hand! Sealing an iPhone without Apple's press is challenging, but we aim get and use one in our videos in the future (they are expensive!) to note: once back glass has been replaced the device is no longer waterproof. :((
@@Refurbie_ I’ve been there before sometimes when I open my phones I ether don’t apply adhesive or apply adhesive but the screen pops up or won’t close right
