i bought one a few weeks ago, love it.it works to take all the weight off my shoulder, making my minelab 705 as light as a feather. your review is spot on.its worth the money and as always minelab makes great products .Nice review i would have presented it the same.thx.
I have been using the pro now for two years and many of the problems you have pointed out are fixable I have put my pickholder on the outside and used a couple of military clips to mount it works a treat I have used the velcro cable ties on my wiring works a treat and use a military drink bottle they come with a carrier which will fit straight on to your belt, good video revue thanks
Good review and information. I have owned the Pro Swing 45 for several months now and it works great...when it stays together. The support arm comes apart every time I dig a target and it is unacceptable because I have to take the harness off and reconnect it then put it back on. The small O-rings inside of it where the arm joins upper to lower are poorly designed. I used duct tape for a while which lasts a few hours then it gives out. I finally broke down and got everything adjusted perfectly and then Gorilla Glued the support arm. If I ever need to change anything I guess it will be a big challenge but there was nothing else I could do. I have to admit that when using this swing the detector is weightless. There are more pros than cons when using it. The biggest challenge is that I often detect on uneven and hilly ground which makes the harness kind of useless since the coil height is set but that is not the fault of the device it's just a place were it does not work well. I have a weak back and this device doubles the time I can stay in the field so it is worth keeping around. It also helps prevent shoulder pain which often comes to detectorists. If Minelab would only fix the support arm problem it would be two thumbs up from me. All they have to do is put in a left handed and right handed arm and the break in the center is not needed. Seems little to ask at this price (I hope Minelab reads this).
I was ready to give up on my CTX because the weight was causing issues with my elbow joints. Think I will give this a try. I like the idea of a bladder and a few more loops. Thank you for the review, and pointing out the pro's and cons.
Great job on the review bro, Minelab need to re-design that harness because they have missed a lot of things like you have pointed out! Thanks for your review bud.
Good review, I'm thinking this harness is what I need due to chronic back problems and will enable me to get into the hobby of detecting. One thing I noticed and I may be wrong, but I thought the harness needed further adjusting to bring the belt section lower onto your hips. Just saying, but thanks I enjoyed your review.
It works but I've adjusted 100 dam times and the thing rides up very bad it rubs the crap out of your neck it's work as should but the others issues I hate
Great clip thanks- most of the problems have simple work arounds-the water bladder on the back pad great idea- but Minelab should have used real people in field trials before manufacture have, they done any modifications in 11 years=bet not
Thanks for showing how everything attaches. You did a great review!!

Definately the best review for this harness on the net. Thanks.
Thanks for the video, answered my question about the Double D pick holder, I'll get the clip on version, no need to feed the belt through.

I'm considering the same for my CTX, did you get a harness in the end? How did it go if you did?

*Bravissimo* !!! Un saluto da Venezia (Nord Italy )
Great review! Looks like you should be able to remove the buckle from the belt to install your pick holder, but I could be wrong.
Thanks for the great review!

I also use a mountaineers spring clip on my scoop
Strongly recommend testing it in the field where it falls to bits. (Jrods separate and cause no end of GRRRRRRR)
Hi Shane, why not set up for your own requirements and then superglue the joins ?
needs another foot of lower strapping otherwise cant wear it present length not nearly long enough otherwise all round a brilliant idea
Zip tie for wires. No biggie.
