I LOVE hearing the pots “talk” when they come out of the kiln 😅.. clink cling ping ping
Had an apprenticeship for a few weeks. One evening we opened that days wood kiln und packed the pieces into the working space (slept right above) woke up from a pot’s cracking sound so I went downstairs to check which one broke but nothing did. It was just so loud hours later
Sweet love the marble stuff very pretty.
Love the flame mug!!
Beautiful Beautiful beautiful! I hate pink, but everyone of ur pink pots r beautiful!
Those tumbler 😍😍😍
I love hearing all of your excitement when your opening your kilns! Love your videos My pottery teacher introduced us to you in college and I've been hooked ever since!
Loving the Pots! I hope you got out of that room quickly, and got yourself plenty of water/energy drinks. I used to live in a climate where the summers got to 110F. Unfortunately, the body can lose a litre of body water in 10 minutes, making you feel really ill. Take care of yourself. 😊
This is amazing!! I love them all (marvel not so much) but if i had to choose...is between the space one and the last ones nordern sunsets. Omg.
I finally got one of your mugs! Can’t wait to get it Jon!
Love your new fave, that desert sunset glaze too. Is that glaze from laguna clay? Nice work guys. Thanks for sharing
Love watching and learning from you and others. Saw a video where you went to see a young man that did Pottery and I don’t know if he was in Tennessee or one of the Carolinas and you visited to see an outdoor huge wood? kiln and helped him with it and learned a lot about it. Could you give me his name I’m going to Tennessee and I’m thinking he’s there and I would like to go see where he is and what he does.
These are absolutely amaaazing!!! I love your glaze combos! I hear a lot of pinging, do you ever have problems with crazing?
love the insanity mugs- how do you make sure the stilts don't leave holes that would make it non-food safe?
Love your videos. You doing great job. Greetings from Croatia!!
I love the dessert sunset glaze! Is that laguna? And the insanity mugs?? Is that a glaze or the shape? Also why do you put stilts in the insanity mugs? Sorry for so many questions! Love your work!!
You put underglaze over glaze and it adds color but sinks and and stays smooth? Or is it stroke and coat type underglaze?
Can you yes liquid underglaze in clays to marble on wheel
a question. How do you grind it off when there is glaze on the bottom ? can you show that
What clear glaze do you use on the marble mugs?
How do you get drips without ruining your kiln shelves?
Hi Jon! You mentioned some of the pots had wavy bottoms rather than just a smooth, trimmed bottom. It would be awesome to see a video/tutorial of that!
P.S. The pots looked awesome! 😁
Just cut it off with a wiggly wire. You can spin the wheel slow as you cut it and it will swirl the bottom as well
@@shaunheimann2269 Oh! Thank you!! :)
What do you use for a clear glaze on your marbled mugs?
Jon! Can you pm me about making some mugs like 5.07?
Why are you putting stilts inside a mug?
I believe it's because it's fired upside-down.
@@emilybenner6720 😒 hmm. But, they have fallen inside. Wouldn't they stick to the glaze inside?
@@patti7805 he has 2 sizes of stilts & the tallest 1 wasn't tall enough to hold the mug off of the bottom plate so he uses a tall 1 with a short 1on top of it to hold the mug up. Sometimes it does get stuck & needs a bit of help getting loose. I'm not a potter (although I would love to be) but I have watched many videos.
