People saying this great song is "boring" is the same people who praise banal songs like the ones from Sweden or Australia. No matter what the results will be, France has a great song and nobody can deny that.
It's about personal taste at the end of the day, not how good a song is technically. I recognise that this is a great song however it is not something I would download and listen to therefore I personally would score other songs far higher.

I like eurovision because this contest allow me to discover songs like this one. I'm Spanish and in my country all the people believe that it's more important the countries near yours than the song you send. My favorites songs in the last years haven't been in the top but I'm happy because even if they didn't win, I discovered it. Let's just enjoy the music and who cares who's the winner?.

The French language is so beautiful. Eurovision really needs to look at ways to promote national identities and culture by encouraging countries to use their national language. Widespread use of English reduces the 'magic' of ESC for me, and increases it's commercial values.

Wow!! Finally!!! I have been following France over the years-their heydays in the '60s and '70s to their slow decline since the eighties. (France fifth and last entry is in 1977, which Marie Myriam nailed it.)
Now it seems they are coming back with a powerful, classy French ballads just like in '01 and '02! Wish Lisa all the best! Oh, how nostalgic!

Je ne suis pas d'accord avec toi! C'est une chanson magnifique, des paroles profondes et elle a une voix très forte.
Cependant c'était en effet un gros risque de l'envoyer à l'eurovision car on s'attend à un tout autre style désormais lors de ce concours. Une autre faiblesse est peut-être qu'à cause du français la plupart des pays n'ont pas pu comprendre les paroles ce qui jouent beaucoup.
Mais il est indéniable que c'est une très belle chanson et qui plus est bien meilleur que les Twin Twin de l'an passé...
La chanson est très grande! Et je suis amoureux de votre langue. Mais ce n'est pas facille de l'apprendre. 12 points de la Russie!

I like eurovision because this contest allow me to discover songs like this one. I'm Spanish and in my country all the people believe that it's more important the countries near yours than the song you send. My favorites songs in the last years haven't been in the top but I'm happy because even if they didn't win, I discovered it. Let's just enjoy the music and who cares who's the winner?.

Votre meilleur score dans la décennie des années 2000 a fait en 2009 à Moscou avec le splendide interprétation de Patricia Kaas, de Et se il fallait le faire. Six ans plus tard, nous sommes confrontés à ce joyau de la chanson N'oubliez Pas. Espérons que cette fois l'Europe vote pour la qualité et non pas les voisins. The French language is so beautiful. Eurovision really needs to look at ways to promote national identities and culture by encouraging countries to use their national language. Widespread use of English reduces the 'magic' of ESC for me, and increases it's commercial values.
