This is my favorite Face to Face song ever, so I e-mailed Trever about it on his my-space and asked him what inspired him to write the lyrics for it. To my shock and pleasure, he wrote me back, but his reply was extremely vague and said something about "It's basically about helping someone you care for through a tough time" and he added that he didn't want to say too much so as to take away from other people's interpretation of it.
Oh man ! i thought i would never hear this song again. I heard it on an AMV so long ago and didnt know the name . Im glad i found that exact AMV on youtube again.
Saw these guys at the Fiji House in Santa Barbara,(frat house) 200 person show and I got to talk with em afterwards, great guys man, chuggin beer and throwing out some of the best punk rock around!
There are a lot of layers to this song and ways it can be interpreted. I always figured it was more of a first-person song as he says "I'M not afraid of the price I pay." But he also references some unknown "him", as in "I'm sure you must have seen him." So Trever's comment about "helping someone you care about through a tough time" does make sense. For me personally, this song has always reminded me to find strength and courage in tough times.
I dont quite remember. Long ago i used to buy a magazine called "anitype" and it came with a CD before youtube, and those kind of magazines where my only source to anime and things like that, and it had this AMV, and some days ago i remembered and wished it was here on youtube, i really didnt think i would find it.
My Band Stereo Dice Is Bringing back this sound we have a myspace look us up, we have our old music up but after our new album comes out you'll guys will hear this classic fun sound
ohh ok since it was a fanvid i can´t imagine that it was on an anitype-cd ... i found the song by quoting party of the lyrics i still could remember in google, i.e. "i won´t lie down as", first match was a site with the lyrics for this song :) this method is about 90% successful ^^
The Saints ; Stranded The Saints began punk chekem ===out man OR have a wild listen to aslow ballad "Take me to Paris" like to see face to face rock that one
Pretty excellent punk song. However I was looking for another punk song online that I can't seem to find any info on. Don't know the name but in the song the vocalist gpes "Why won't you lie for me, girl?" What the heck is the name of the group that made this song and the name of the song?
Eh? Yea I know you made the comment a long time ago, but just now seen this video when searching for this song. For me the first time I listened to this song was actually the remix that is on a movie soundtrack.. though funny enough it was actually due to a anime, and not the soundtrack it was originally on >< Regardless, as someone who has played a LOT of SC, how the heck did you come to this song from that?
JA, me acabo de dar cuenta que el tipo corriendo a lo largo de todo el video, y bajando para después saltar de la escalera de emergencia es igual igual a la del vídeo de Penguins and Polarbears de la banda de Skate punk sueca, Millencolin :O
Does anyone know the face to face song, where they're singing about a boy who had a rough life as a child, but it made him grow up to be a man? I don't remember the lyrics unfortunately and i cant find it on youtube.
great song but face to face are very hypocritical these days with playing festivals and saying they are the only punk rock band and mocking other artists when they released the KOMBAT mix of this song on the Mortal Kombat in 97 movie. Search it on youtube and take a listen
@liveloud666 No he's right it's back then bands like this that was the norm, after some douche bags figured they'd dress the same and on occasion wear trucker hacks now these guys get lumped in. They look like douches but 99% who will say that doesn't realize where it came from, not saying it was them because I'm from the EC but as I got older I saw this style spread.
Still one of the best punk ballads I've ever heard.
Niar WoW PvP video's introduced me to this band 10+ years ago. Still here.
