Yay Barbara!!! So excited for you! What an exciting honor. And so darn cute❣ Love the book and your pattern especially. Thanks for the book look. I love that you show every pattern. Again congrats, I know your Stars Wars heart is bursting with pride and joy.😍🥰
You are now a part of the Star Wars saga by having one of your patterns published in the Star Wars book! Congrats! Your excitement level over this book is like watching a kid in a candy store!!
I bought this FANTASTIC book, sight unseen, just (to attempt) to make Barbara’s “Tai Fighter Hat and Mittens.” What a serendipitous experience! This is one of the ‘funnest’ knitting books I’ve ever seen. It brings me back to the time when I saw the original Star Wars films in the movies. I’d never before seen such visual effects. The sensations were overwhelming in a splendiferous way! It’s a great coffee table book, too. I love looking through it…You don’t have to be a knitter to enjoy it! Kudos @BarbaraBenson!
Way to go, Barbara! The hat and fingerless mitts look crisp and pleasing color choices. Say, is that a red shawl on Lieutenant Striker? Oh, my goodness!
I pre-ordered this book on Amazon the minute I heard about it. Didn't know until it arrived that you had a pattern in it. Made me so happy! Now I wish I had the downloadable versions too. Congrats to you!
Hey Barbara!!!! Deb (another Star Wars Geek) already has that book. We showed it off last week in our show. I will have to point out that Your pattern is in the book. :) Super excited for you!! Love all your episodes. Happy knitting from The Flock! :)
Congratulations on getting a pattern in the book that's super exciting! I just got the Harry Potter book by her for Christmas, and have this on hold with my Library they just haven't gotten there copies I yet!
I grew up crocheting just basic stuff. I have been debating whether or not to take up knitting. Today, I saw this book and I'm no longer debating. I WILL learn to knit. I want to knit the whole galaxy!!!
Dear Barbara, you are so cool and entertaining. Thanks for the book review. I just discovered your channel ... what a shame, that it did not happen earlier. The more happy I am now. Greetings from Germany from Marta ❤
I got the book for Christmas, and somehow missed that you were a contributor. I’m even more pleased to have the book in my collection note that I know you are.
I found out about this book through the newsletter of the makers of the yarn used in the Rebel Alliance Shawl. Saw shawl, saw _official_ Star Wars, saw it was the week of my birthday, was so there! Then saw it was complied by Tanis Gray (I'm not a big fan of her - wish I could figure out why, for some reason she just rubs me the wrong way). Decided to get it anyway. I was absolutely excited when it arrived. I started going through it - and became increasingly disappointed. I've seen other pieces inspired by the movies that I like so much better. But, then, all of a sudden, wait! There's Barbara Benson's name! Totally unexpected! :) That made me decide it had actually been worth getting the book. Yes, a few of the other patterns are very cute; just very few I'd actually make. Really happy that you were able to get a pattern in this!! Congrats!!
I am glad that my pattern fell onto the positive side for the book. I think the patterns are cute - but if you don't do stranded knitting there's a lot of that in there.
You are pretty much my hero lol will be buying this and your other books!!!!! I have been eying all the big yarn patterns and trying to learn every technique asap so i can make them all
Congratulations on getting your item in such a prestigious book Amazing! We are Star anything fans too. Big Stargate fans, no idea how many times I have watched the film but could probably recite it word for word! May just have to drop hints for this book. Well done again Barbara and well deserved too. xxJane
Congratulations on your pattern selection! I ordered my book from my LYS, but it hasn't come in yet. I've been trying to find pictures of the patterns. Thank you for sharing!
Congratulations Barbara 🎉 your patterns in this amazing book are gorgeous.🤩 So from a galaxy far far away like Australia... 🌠 May the knitting force be with you 🙋🏻♀️💜
I'm soooo excited for you, Barbara! You've worked hard and totally deserve to have one of your patterns in a Star Wars book, of all books! Im so excited one wld think it was my design in the book! Lol! Good stuff! Congratulations 👏! 🥂 Well deserved, indeed! Now let me get back to the video 😉. UPDATE: Oh, and I went ahead and used the link to buy the book so to make sure you get a lil doh-rae-me 😘.
Yay, sci-fi. Thanks for showing the book, there are several items I want to knit, the Millenium Falcon cowl, R2D2 mitts, and many more. Do you like the Alien movies as Well? Would be great with a huge Xenomorph on a sweater :-)
Ok, I know you released this video 3 years ago, but I only just found out about this book. You have easily convinced me that I NEED it!!! Between the Porg, your TIE Fighter hat and mitts, and those Wookie socks?! - I am SOLD! PS - I just realized that as I was watching this I was drinking from my R2D2 insulated cup! *Geeks Unite!!!!
Believe it or not, I have never seen Star Wars...I'm probably the only person! Congrats ref to having a pattern published in the book! This is neat! Thanks so much. Note: I have seen various Star Trek shows!
It's a super fun book, no? I only have one pattern in the book and there is not a specific tutorial for the pattern. I do have a video on basic slip stitch colorwork (of which my TIE Fighter pattern is a variant) if that would be helpful: ua-cam.com/video/KFujVyHOOaQ/v-deo.html
I'm also a sci-fi fan, especially Star Trek and the original Doctor Who series. I've seen all the early Star Wars movies, but not any of the later ones. I should probably get around to watching those. I may have to add this book to my collection. Your referral link appears to be dysfunctional. I end up on a Whats New page when I follow it. I did find the book on the site, but even with 25% off, the price is less on Amazon with free Prime shipping.
Have you watched season 2 of the mandalorian? It has storm troopers in the background of a scene who are actual fans who made their costumes for comicon.
Hi Barbara, i find some patterns difficult to work out, please help me with this pattern, i have done back & sides of a babies cardigan but i am having a problem with the sleeves; cast on 87 (99, 111, 123) sts. I am casting on 111. Row 1 - (RS), K0 (6, 0, 6), *P3, K9; rep from * to last 3 (9, 3, 9) sts, P3, K0 (6, 0, 6).

Yep - Riker is my small shawl model extraordinaire!
I pre-ordered this book on Amazon the minute I heard about it. Didn't know until it arrived that you had a pattern in it. Made me so happy! Now I wish I had the downloadable versions too. Congrats to you!

I'd love to see it when you are done!
Absolutely! It will be on my Craftcast and my Instagram ❤️

I like the first two Alien movies bunches ... the following ones? Not so much. Alien could be fun!

Awesome! Thank you!
I love your enthusiasm. Thanks for letting your Geek Flag Fly!
I can't not!
Believe it or not, I have never seen Star Wars...I'm probably the only person! Congrats ref to having a pattern published in the book! This is neat! Thanks so much. Note: I have seen various Star Trek shows!
Well, if there was a Star Trek book I WOULD BE SO ON THAT! I have actually already named a pair of mitts "To Warmly Go".
@@WatchBarbaraKnit LMBO....right!
I founded it funny how much you were seeking out like my son's when they talk about Star Wars. I'm loving it.😂😂😂😂
LOL, I am a total geek.
I'm waiting to get this. I have the harry Potter one right now and working on a pair of socks and then some fingerless mitts next.
Sounds like you have a great game plan.
Great job Barbara!
Thank you!
I have already purchased the book!!! Now I know what I want to knit first!!!!!
Fantastic! I hope I get to see what you knit up.
Hey, I just into knitting and got the book. I was curious if you have a playlist of tutorial doing each pattern? Or where I can go to find a tutorial

They may have changed it up and not let me know. Publishing is weird. Get it on Amazon or from your LYS!
Have you watched season 2 of the mandalorian? It has storm troopers in the background of a scene who are actual fans who made their costumes for comicon.
Yes! Those were members of the 501st!
Ah I’d like to support you with the link but shipping to Canada makes it a bit silly. Totally got to get this though!
Hopefully you will be able to find it locally!
@@WatchBarbaraKnit yup! LYS doesn't have it but bookstore does.
So cute. Congrats!
Thank you! Cheers!
Oh my goodness! I am so excited for you💜💜💜. So exciting.. You must be in Seventh Heaven...for sure. CONGRATULATIONS 🎈🎈🎈😍
Yes! Thank you!
hi i want to buy the book but it dosent have paypal options help
Try ordering through Books a million. I purchased the HP knitting book through them with PayPal.
I’m afraid I don’t have anything to do with the actual sales. That’s the publishing company.
The spots where your size says zero - you just don't do that thing. So your instructions are *p3, k9; rep from * to last 3 sts, p3.
The code says it is invalid???
Super and congratulations.
Thanks a lot
May the force be with you..🛸
And also with you!
Wow! Cool!
~Marie
It was awesome!
Not so long ago, in a stash far, far away from being small ...
LOL
Can you make a book review to "FIX FEAR by SIC ILL"
😲😲😲😲😲😍😍😍😍
It is hard to believe, isn't it?
lol, I was only 6 minutes into the video before I pulled up the link to buy this book.
Nice! I am sure you'll love it.
Never mind I found what I was doing wrong
Whew! I had a wee heart palpitation when I read your first post.
