Indeed, Hamilton is a great brand, but what's the point to buy especially PSR watch? The Nixon regulus would be the better option if you want to replace digital Casio. Moreover, PSR isn't for small hand
An interesting video Teddy, It's great to see the PRX get a mention as well as the Hamilton PSR. There have been a few that have written the PSR off as an expensive homage watch to the Pulsar original and there may be a grain of truth in that. However the PSR is made in smaller quantities, has a bracelet, case module that is not used is anything else so internal costs would be greater in smaller quantities. For a digital watch this has a simple elegance to it. It's definitely one to see in the flesh. I'm certainly happy with mine even though is hours, minutes and seconds (push button twice).
I have a retro Bulova N6 digital led watch and they look very similar. It's all steel with the integrated bracelet. You just hit the button to activate the display and it's also red. I'm sure it was some type of copy of the Pulsar. It always reminds me of the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica.
@@riothero313 The N6 is a great looking watch. Oh yes, I remember the good old chrome bucket head Cylons The same era as Kightrider and Kit that has the red lights waving across the front. Those were the days when a year took ages as did school homework.
The Hamilton PSR is a fantastic watch and I do not feel it is over priced. This has become one of my favourites and remains as my one and only digital watch other then my G-Shock
Completely disagree and fail to see the value that this offers, when compared with modern offerings in the digital section. Some people just like spending money though.
@@jicalzad The case and bracelet alone is worth the money in my opinion. I did own an Apple Watch for years but as you know it is a disposable electronic device. Yes it is useful but at the end of 3 years its worthless . G shock is never a bad choice
@@canadianwatchmonkey3992 i don't know if the Apple Watch is worthless after 3 years vs. the newer generations offering more features for the $. My wife still has her Apple Watch series 3, which is about 4 years old i believe. Still really well for what she uses it for (**i.e. fitness tracking, calling/txting, checking email, oh and telling time). So for her, it's definitely more "useful" than a mechanical/quartz or G-shock. Myself, i prefer a quality mechanical, budget or luxury.
I just bought my first Sieko. It is a red Presage. It hurt to buy it a little.. maybe I will get over It. I also got to handle my first over watch over $1,000. It was a Ball watch, my grail. It was cool to see the difference between a $30 watch, a $300 watch and a $1,000+ dollar watch.
The Amphibia to MIL-SHIPS step up is spot-on. The Bulova looks like a luxury Amphibia, through and through, like what Vostok would have made if they were trying to (and had the capabilities to) hit that $700-ish price point.
How about people that go from luxury watches to affordable watches? Any such around? I´m one, own a few of expensive pieces, but lately finding myself put off by many "status brands" and more and more interested in and researching affordable watches.
I've always liked the idea of a watch that simply tells the time. A watch with simple baton indices, domed crystal, a bracelet, lume, and at least 100m WR. A go anywhere, simple watch. Casio OCW-S100, Christopher Ward C63 Sealander, Rolex Oyster Perpetual. These come to mind.

Indeed, Hamilton is a great brand, but what's the point to buy especially PSR watch? The Nixon regulus would be the better option if you want to replace digital Casio. Moreover, PSR isn't for small hand
The last watch you showed was THE watch for those of us in the USAF '74-'78.
awesome video as always Teddy
Those were the days when a year took ages as did school homework.
your jacket and turtleneck combo is so classy!
The Hamilton PSR is a fantastic watch and I do not feel it is over priced. This has become one of my favourites and remains as my one and only digital watch other then my G-Shock
Really? I would’ve thought the options would be the Casio or the newest model Apple Watch
@@jicalzad I have had 2 apple watches and after 3 years the battery was no longer holding a charge
Teddy with the SPICE to close the video
In soviet russia, the next tier for the watch is another user.
Orient bambino with roman numerals, arabic numerals or batons? Which one would you go for and why?
My first watch was a Raymond Weil Quartz chronograph. I never hear any mentions of there watches at all. Beautiful watches anyone have an opinion.
Really enjoy your video and learned a lot from them.
If the Mido Baroncelli was 36mm I'd definitely have one. Great suggestion.
Instead of the maurice lacroix I would have put the frederique constant highlife. Looks better than the maurice and it’s less homage.
Really enjoy your videos Teddy! Thank you for all the hard work and research you do.
I’d also consider the FC highlife as an alternative to the PRX.
How about people that go from luxury watches to affordable watches? Any such around? I´m one, own a few of expensive pieces, but lately finding myself put off by many "status brands" and more and more interested in and researching affordable watches.
Please make more content for watches more in the budget tier ($250 and under).
Great idea for a video! That Junghans is a great looking piece. I love the minimalist dial and symmetry.
That jacket is pretty dope.
Every time I watch your content you never say what's on your wrist.
good Point. Would bei interesting to know too.
1. Hey Teddy! What jacket are you wearing in this vid?
2. My “one level up” from the Timex Marlin has to be Hamilton’s Jazzmaster Viewmatic. Both throw back to the last decades of America’s watchmaking industry, when Hamilton and Timex operated a few hours away from each other in Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
A 38mm Bambino with 18 or 20mm lug width would be great.
Teddy,
Recently, your videos have been on fire.

Interesting concept for a video Teddy
