- Structure Fire response to 2551 North Field Ln in Clearwater. Responding in Order (But not every unit) Clearwater Fire Rescue Engine 50, Palm Harbor Engine 65, Clearwater Truck 48, Palm Harbor Squad 65, Clearwater 600, LR49, Clearwater 320, Clearwater District 45, Largo Squad 38, Clearwater 300, And Dunedin Engine 60 and Truck 60. Unknown what started the fire. Safety Harbor Pumper 53 on scene with Clearwater District 48 I did not get responding. Sorry about the quality it was pouring. The chief with all the lights was Clearwater 400 I believe.
Wow the GMC at the end! Must have made Whelen's day!
I spent four years as a volunteer and 25 years as a career fire fighter. I have never been to a call that had that much equipment.
Holy shit! that last truck lights up I've never seen one with that much lights on it. Looks good!
Yep looks great ! For what? 80k of the taxpayers money for the firemen who trip
I added this to my watch later just so I can stare at that GMC 🔥🔥🔥
Why did every chief in Clearwater show up, it looks like there were more chiefs vehicles than apparatus?
Cuz they got bored sitting around doing NOTHING as usual
In Columbus, Ohio, the initial dispatch to a fire is 3 engines, 2 ladders, a rescue, a medic, & a Bn. Chief. On a wkg. fire, the RIC assignment is another engine, medic, EMS officer, Safety Officer, & another Bn. Chief.
Awesome video!! Great footage and very nice looking rigs, keep up the awesome work :)
super crazy how many respond..
Not sure yet. The new one should be here soon
Great video. Ah, nothing quite like trying to navigate US 19 in the rain. That road is bad enough on a clear day.
How do have a radio
Love the Suburban at the end that's capable of causing seizures ...wow
Doctor Ya Ya Creator of Ecstasy yes it put my husband in a seizure
ya I sort of have to agree with you but without seeing how big the initial fire was its hard to say if some of the trucks responded unnecessarily.
I think they went just a bit overboard with the white suburban
you think?????
People will still complain that they "couldn't see them coming"
Austin Riordan
what started do u know
one was a chief, then a assistant chief, and im pretty sure a few of the suv's were shift commander vehicles.
and even though it was over kill I think you should recount those chiefs.
I like all the light on the truck the chief vehicle if you miss THAT truck you MUST be blind or SOMETHING... It's good that you had the equipment there just incase considering how close the houses are together. but in a way it's kind of clogging up the screen if you REALLY don't need them send them back.
i find it hilarious how the cfr suburbans powercall sirens
Wonder with the location on the second floor window if the cause of fire was a cigarette or some type of small electrical appliance. Cause I didn't see charing on the ground level on outter front side of the house. But in my view ? This department did a heavy first call for the structure. In my view they could sent 2 pumpers and a squad , then after initial review call for back up or call for another engine Company as needed on the structure if needed. Anyway great post I enjoyed watching all the red lights....guess it gave the fellas in the house the opportunity to get out and get some air. Lol...Plus they did great on containment of the Fire.
What vehicle are you in?
I counted 22 warning lights just facing forward. I'm sure I missed a few. 22 facing the front. I'm sure there's 16-20 on each side and another 16-20 facing rear!!!! Wow, that's a huge amount of warning lights, I love it. I wonder how much it cost, and I also wonder if this vehicle or another unit of there's got hit at a scene one day and they figured that isn't going to happen again!!! No way someone could miss that many LED warning lights. But then again I've heard plenty of excuses before.
I love this look. The great thing is when the LED's aren't on there's very little indication that the vehicle is an emergency vehicle. Very well hidden. Great job.
Christopher Foley I'd never ever put so many lights on a car without using other ways to secure your car as well, like e.g. reflective shapes and stripes. With that amount of lights on the unit you can make a scene not just safer but also more dangerous, e.g. in the dust or at snowfalls. We have nothing more than 6 lights on our big trucks, and at the max. 4 on cars
I know one thing, I wouldnt want to pay the bill for all those. Had to be 15 grand just in warning lights. As far as dust and snow, totally understandable, thats why they make high/low intensity. As far as 6 warnign light on your big rigs, Thats only 50% of what NFPA requires now. That cool, we run a large volume of interste calls, and have been hit over 30 times in 10 years, so the truck committees add more in the rear, and lower level area and it worked out very well so far, havent been hit once in the last 2 years with the 10 newer Engines and 1 Quint that have the newer warnign light specs.
is this E50's first fire in the new rig?
I'm really surprised that only two of the actual fire apparatus on the scene were Clearwater units, is this because of the area that its in or are all responses in Clearwater like this?
Must be the chiefs house !
They haven't sold it. They're getting a new one because the reserve Squad is over 20 years old. The current Squad will be put into reserve. And I just saw it on a medical in 44's AOR a few days ago lmao.
That Suburban could have used a few more lights. lol
labidomosquito lol I think it just gave me an epileptic fit:/
Yep. Got broken it quick
??are you actually saying rain always puts out house fires?
Did whelen show up with a demo car at the end!? That gmc is wayyyy too lit up
I agree , feels like I am at a club not a fire scene.
They sure had enough bleedin' trucks, too- for a fire that wrecked, what, 3 rooms?
ikr
Is this in Clearwater Florida?
Showtime
Why the 2nd SUV drive past you like that?
+Jarred Jackson because the suv was going to the fire which was down the road his car was on that is why the suv drove past him
I meant slow
Seriously, I thought it had to be a 5 alarm structure fire. You guys must either be bored or way to much tax money for apparatus. Total over kill.
Great video
I'm liking the feniex dash light. Nice vid
If by all the lights you mean the white Suburban thats lit up like a Christmas tree, then yeah thats CL400 lmfao. Im curious as to why S38 took that run though.
??????
And are u a firefighter
If you need10 apparatus on scene to get the manpower you need, then that is what you call for. The biggest issue here is that you have a grid lock on scene for a nothing fire. The fire had potential but resources need to be staged until needed. Volunteer fire departments often respond with a minimum of manpower and often a undisclosed number of resources per day. This looks like a lack of direction from the first in company officer or freelancing resources. Not criticizing just recommending.
Yes
well that got out of hand
It was caused by a lightning strike
Thanks :)
who does that beautiful white Yukon belong to
I believe it is the chief's vehicle.
Nice video!
Great Video, Subbed and liked
Love to hear that!
Already did. Sorry about that.
and? you still don't even know the circumstances around it. yes I agree it was overkill but the point I was trying to get across is if you don't really know shit about it personally, you shouldnt say it.
a similar event has happened here. there was a gas leak and fire, led to the evacuation of the entire complex consisting of about 200 people, and it was raised to a 2nd alarm, about 10 minutes later there was an explosion. half the building sustained damage.
TRUCK'S 48 & 60
People in the South really don't know how to yield to fire vehicles do they? Up here in Ohio each one of them would be facing a $1500 fine and a loss of their license for about 2-12 months.
Same in Colorado you get 4 points if caught.
Yea...we have penalties to but who is gonna give them the fine if there aren't cops around? The fire truck? Stupid statement of yours.
Might have gotten some actual fire footage instead of filming trucks running down the road, we’re you afraid of getting wet?
i guesss it whas the Lightning
Squad 51 has been MIA for a while. They might have sold it to pay for the new one they are getting. So that's why Largo came.
I still can't figure out how you have a house fire when it's raining cats and dogs outside. Nice video though. Typical Clearwater response of 12 fire trucks.
Yeh
That many fire trucks for one room, oh wait it was a nice neighborhood. If it were in the poor district would have been 2 engines and maybe a ladder truck.
christmas tree at 6:03
Lightning strike
overkill gets the job done., its your resources why not use them. it gets the job done safer and faster, you have more teams to share the work and take shifts and you don't get wore out on a single job. plus more equipment and ffs on standby for anything else that could go down. but yeah order a staging area for the extra trucks away from scene lol. there not needed just the manpower is. they can walk it
What a waste of resources and money send that many units to a house fire
Chiefs yeah
dont say ha its bad are you mosslem if you are its Bad i'v followed the fire truck and all of a sudden a kid that was 2 years old was puting fire on the balkany
and what exactly gives you authority to say it was wasted resources? do you know something we don't? we watched the same video didn't we?
5 Engine companies, 5 CHIEF CARS (SERIOUSLY), 2 Trucks, and a squad. For 1 structure fire, ummmmmmmm.
Better safe than sorry
Ya Bish I totally agree. However, Still why 5 chiefs. An operations Chief, A rescue chief, An Assistant Chief, A training Chief, and the 5th wasn't really clear enough to see, I'm guess another Training Chief. The whole point to my comment is Span of Control. One Chief, can easily take care of three companies. This fire has 8 companies working. If it were during a REALLY HOT summer day, yes by all means the extra is good, keeps crews fresh and hydrated, etc. etc. And even a REALLY cold day the same. Why a rescue chief, was there some tech rescue taking place? An ops chief, and an assistant chief, did this fire go to another level of response that required this assistant chief? Two training chiefs, I could see one, especially to video the actions of the firefighters. But two? Anyway, appreciate your comment, stay safe.
James Hoffman I could account for 4 of them. Command, Outside Operations, Interior Operations, Safety Officer. 5th could have been Ems. Some departments divide up the scene greatly some not so much.
James Hoffman well thats florida for you. they love riding around in brand new vehicles covered in lights and 75 pieces of equipment responding to a small house fire so they can say they did something. i was really surprised i saw a supply line hooked up. normally they sit their lazy asses around and wait on tankers because they are too stupid to hook to a hydrant.
James Hoffman because there was a fire that's why
defiantly a waist of the rate payer money, big time OTT.
SqAa
Yep, just another youtube troll spewing the same old nonsense.
