I've been out of the PTCG for about three years now and moved over to Magic but I will say Tricky Gym is that one channel that I continue to keep an eye on to see what's happening in the PTCG world. Really like this GLC format! Makes me want to break out my old cards and start brewing. It has that deck building feeling that I enjoy when playing Commander in Magic.

ive loved playing turbo garb, it was one of my first decks built and its so broken honestly edit: have you thought of fitting bench barrier mew over the cleffa? ive noticed these decks are pretty weak to spread and i was thinking of teching it myself to make some of those matchups a bit easier
@@tomhitsdrums vs a lot of spread decks I'll just end up not benching trubbish because even if I evolve it garb only has 100 HP and it's an easy target for lots of pokemon. It depends on the mu ofc but
crazy deck! what would you substitute that marshadow with now that it's banned? also any recommend additions since this list is about 8 months old now? thanks for the video!
I have been playing this deck with clefable that has metronome and the new baby pokemon from stellar crown that accelerates 2 energy. Pokegear and trainers mail are both solid subs for marshadow
Would it be too much of a stretch to fit in single-prize Dragapult (the one with the coin flip ability) into this deck? I like both the prison aspect of this and the hilarious ceiling of just never giving up Dragapult. If it's too much, then I guess I just have to build two different Psychic GLC decks.
Guys, just a question. In the time this Trevenant was printed, tool cards were considered items. I know they've changed this and turned tools a separated category of cards, but how to interpret in a situation where there are mixed card rules? For instance, In the second match, even with Trevenant active, the opponent played the TM: Evolution from its hand, which I thought wasn't possible.
@@WildBassflyTools were affected by an errata on Scarlet and violet and now are separated from items, so all old tools aren't considered items anymore even though they say "item" on the card
The garbodor stops trevenant once garbodor has a tool on it right? So once the garbodor is in play, your opponent can play items even if trevenant is in play?
This was the last deck I played in a tournament years ago. One similar to it at least. Really good deck. Mine played red card in it though. It makes people want to fight you.
Loved it. These annoying item lock stuff has been always one of my favourite game tactics. Vikavolt V is still in my heart because of his moves also :D keep going with your great videos, mate, always fun to watch it 😎
I remember back in the old days when XY was standardm Trevenant break was my go to deck and placed really well as a junior when states still existed lol

I think the problem with Bench Barrier mew in this is Garb turns off the ability, so spread still works!

Getting rid of your Hex turn 1 against this deck is the ultimate misplay.

All tool cards have been errata’d to no longer be item cards. They are now their own category. Just: tools.

Right. So usually you lead trevenant then transition to garbodor ability lock when you have other attackers ready

When i was making my psychic GLC deck I decided I was either going to put garbodor OR trevenant in the deck. Both seemed too mean lol

Nope! There is quite a bit of variety and it’s only continuing to grow as different trainers get released

tool cards aren't item cards anymore.
I may be missing something but why is the luxray in the deck if you don't have shinx or luxio?
That Luxray allows you to play it directly onto your bench from your hand if you have more prizes remaining than your opponent.

I rather run Wobbufet than Trev because it'll have a tendency to cancel the Item Lock that Trevenant has, if you use Garb.
