  • Welcome to the Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas Cruise ship! My family and I took a trip to Europe a few weeks ago. This is known to be the second biggest cruise ship in the world! What comes with this are some absolutely amazing KONE glass elevators. This ship itself has 24 passenger elevators (12 glass + 12 internal) and at least 4 service elevators, which totals for at least 28 elevators! The views of the elevator exterior are amazing. The glass doors are a very nice touch as well. It's interesting how each elevator will display the day of week on the floor. Staff will come in and change it every midnight, once it passes. I was able to get mostly uninterrupted rides since this video was filmed around midnight. These elevators tend to get very busy during the day. If I could, I would want to ride these everyday. I have some more videos of the elevators on this cruise ship coming in the next couple of weeks, including the Forward elevators. In addition, also expect a few elevators from Europe!

Loved those lifts. I'm very claustrophobic but I felt very safe in the lifts on the Symphony

Funny thing is that Royal Caribbean’s only ship with any Schindler lift is on Quantum of the Seas! And that’s because Quantum of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s oldest ship. The ship has Schindler European MRL, whereas the other ships operated by Royal Caribbean has KONE

Wow, thank you for a fantastic video. I love seeing high-quality videos of the elevators on Royal Caribbean ships, this is perfect. Love the voice on these. I'm really hoping to sail on her when she is in Cape Liberty next summer. Love this video!!!

The ones on Navigator of the seas are MacGregor/Kone (modded by Kone) and the glass cars are quite small!

Very nice. I've noticed that all KONE marine lifts, even on ships like Norwegian Gem from 2007, the number changes as soon as the door shuts. The indicator said '2' when you could still see half of floor 4! The indicator jumps ahead of itself.

Many American and European KONEs exhibit that behavior as well.

I wonder why. It bothers me when I reach my destination and it seems like the last floor takes forever.@@VinceTransportProductions

Im just so surprised that they are able to make elevators on a moving boat on the water.
