Best of luck to you Conrad this upcoming season. I hope you kick butt. you had one of the best explanations of competitive exclusion I’ve ever heard. it’s a great system and really helps the birds stay healthy naturally. Thanks to both of you for this great video.❤
Hello. Thanks for answering my question bellow about how to use the acid pack hard water liquid. Just so im clear, you are using one fluid ounce ot a.gallon? Seems like an awful lot. The blottle says 2mls per liter. A fluid ounce comes out to about 30mls are you using that much based on how hard your water is?
I emailed an ALLTECH Rep about their product. This was the response that I was given. "Hopefully I understood correctly that you would be mixing the drinking water directly (as opposed to running through a Dosatron or any kind of proportioner). In this case, we recommend mixing 1 oz./1 gallon of drinking water. The hard water formula comes in 1 gallon jugs, so this means that 1 gallon of the product is enough to mix 128 gallons of treated drinking water." I have been using this product (Acid Pack 4 Way Hard Water) for almost a year now (March of 2024) and have had no adverse affects on the birds. I have not had any illnesses either. I use this product in the water and the PRAIRIE PRIDE PROBIOTICS on the feed, both from ALLTECH. I also use KASTLE YOUNG BIRD DEVELOPER (KASTLE PRODUCTS) and AVIO MULTIVITE (FOY"S). I put the probiotics, vitamins and YB Developer on the feed with the HEMP OIL (KASTLE PRODUCTS). I recommend all these products because I use them myself, wish I got the products for free!🤣 I won 1 club race (330+ birds), 1 combine race (900+ birds) and several diplomas in my first YB racing season.
The wires are very visible and the lights were there since the birds started flying. So the birds got use to them. PS this set up won the combine this past week 👍🏻
I use the Alltech Hard Water Acid Pack 4 way. Ventura water is the "hardest" water in CA. It's a liquid form not a powder. I spoke with a Veterinarian from Alltech and I follow their suggestion. I give it to the birds on race return day (sunday) and 2 -3 times a week depending on how the birds are flying. I give 1 ounce per gallon of water. It has electrolytes and acidifies the water so it is less likely to allow diseases to be spread thru the water. In the last YB race season, I had no sick birds all season. I won 1 race and 1 combine and several diplomas in 9 races. I like this product and would recommend it. If you don't need the "hard water" version, you can get the Acid Pack 4 Way from Alltech or Acidifier Plus from Kastle products. Conrad
@@ConradQuintana Hello, thanks for the info. Looking at the bottle it recommends 2ml/L. A fluid oz per gallon seems like an awful lot. I measured and a fluid oz comes out to be about 30ml/gal vs the 8ml/gal thats on the bottle.. Are you putting that much in because of how hard your water is? Just making sure I dont over do it🙂
Here where I fly our birds fly over the ocean island to island the farthest channel crossing is 72 miles , so our birds have to fly over four channels . I asked Frank McLaughlin how would he prep birds for my type of racing he told me that our course is the hardest course to race because pigeons don't like to fly over water. The farthest island is 325 miles and the island is Kauai to the BigIsland

Really enjoyed this video.
Does (or will) Conrad race old birds? Trying to understand how he can make it work with 3 sections.
He would love to! But he has no space for it. The city makes it hard for him.
Excellent Vid, nice birds. Good luck to incoming YB race. Salamat sa video. Which state is this?

I am wondering if you can find out how he uses the Alltech 4way acidifier, dosage, frequency, etc.?
