  • In this film we take a look at Queensland’s A10 No.6 being the oldest operating steam locomotive in Australia.
0:00 - Opening Scenes & Tours in Brisbane
The show begins with one of several trips between Brisbane and Ipswich, with footage obtained from another train travelling parallel, hauled by PB15 class steam locomotive No. 732, constructed in 1926 by Neilson & Company of Glasgow, and restored by volunteers of the ARHS in 1991.
9:54 - The Journey to Cairns begins
The small locomotive is then transported 2000 kilometres north to Cairns to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the stunning Cairns-Kuranda Railway's opening.
    19:00 - Arrival at Kuranda
The A10 on excursions west of Kuranda as part of the "100 Days to Celebrate 100 Years" festival, followed by the usual tourist trains and two steam engines double headed a special train up the Barron Gorge.
30:11 - Seven Engines in North Queensland
In 1991, North Queensland had nine steam locos conducting tourist services, and we visit the Balleyhooley Railway at Mossman, the Mulgrave Rambler at Gordonvale, and take a private excursion up the Cairns Range behind the small A10, with all the photo stops one could wish!
We visit the Railco preserved steam railway at Ravenshoe, which has a restored D17 tank loco that has been converted to a tender type engine.
45:02 - North Queensland Railmotor Tour
Then we travel back to October 1983 to ride the Ravenshoe Railmotor to the now-defunct track's conclusion.
We pass via the now-inaccessible Carrington Falls, as well as the 181-meter-long Herberton Tunnel.
