I often feel like brands like DIOR and Gucci end up designing much more functional pieces than Chanel because they have to compete for market share whereas Chanel just assumes demand will come because it's a classic. But with the price increases I wonder if that will change.

I realised that more than half these sheeple are probably buying it on finance. I have never used finance for anything in my life with the exception of buying a house and my first credit card mishap.

Hey June! Love your channel! I'm from Canada. Love seeing other professionals in the luxury blogger community. These types of videos give me a nice break from my field (I'm a chiropractor). I own the small diorama in the gold microcannage and I love it - the material can be stiff, though. Was looking to get the diorama microcannage woc in silver (either with gold or silver hardware), but was concerned about space since it's not as flexible. I recently purchased the valentino spike bag in the small lambskin with silver studs - and I think I'm in love! It comes in gold as well and it's so smushy and flexible with tons of space for a small bag.
Lol and I also stuff my chanel woc- especially when I travel - it just expands!

I LOVE your boy WOC...that's my next and last bag...These bags are so expensive and I have enough now. Both are beautiful! I have the Chanel classic WOC that is the same as yours. One of the benefits of any WOC is that it can be worn crossbody and will lay flat against your body, so it is perfect for traveling/sightseeing.

Great comparison! I can take my chain completely off of my Chanel WOC, and it's one of the things I love about it. My Chanel WOC is the Golden Class version. I think it's officially called the Chanel Golden Class small. They don't make it anymore, but you can get it preloved. It also has a clasp with no snap. xoxo
@jill maurer my Chanel WOC chain can come completely off too! I have the Chanel Embossed LAX WOC. I love this about it as well.

This was really good. I love the look and the idea of wocs but sadly when my essentials have to include reading glasses, sunglasses and an asthma puffer they are never going to work for me. It’s such a pity because the Dior ones in particular are so beautiful.
It would be really helpful if you could do a comparison video between your largest Chanel flap and the lady Dior. I have the lady dior on my wish list and am trying to do as much research as possible on it.
Have you found to have any type of smell from having loose change in the chanel bag?
You the first to actually use the card slots, i see people stuffing their woc with a cardholder and not actually using the card slots at all..

My Chanel WOC is a forever piece. I just used it on a trip and it was so easy to pack inside my handheld carry-on bag and use when I needed it. Also, it's gorgeous. However, I got mine at about half the current price and wouldn't *ever* pay what they're asking now.
I own a Diorama WOC in calfskin. I like how understated it is compared to the Chanel one. Also, not very many people have it. The Chanel WOC is very popular in my city. I'm considering another Diorama WOC in the gold microcannage pattern too.

I haven't had issues with the chain. The bag is small. Even if you fill it up, it is not heavy.
Yes I am considering buying it too because its not that popular and probably a lot of people wouldn't know its a designer brand because it doesn't have an obvious logo

What is important to consider is what does your heart really want? I don't think that the price should be the ultimate decision maker. Don't settle. That need and want won't get satisfied. If you have to save 3 to 4 months extra then do it. For me, I wanted to own a Chanel purse but cannot justify purchasing the classics. What I was able to afford was the Chanel WOC. I saved for 6 months and bought it at the store. My want and need was satisfied. I LOVE this purse and it will be the only luxury item I will own.
Rosa Sacco agreed! I definately wouldn’t settle especially if one makes your heart flutter compared to the other. You’ll only wish you had the one you originally wanted. I do have to admit I love all the little luxuries and interior details of the Chanel which I’ll be willing to pay slightly more for... however probably not $1000 more. That being said preloved is a great way to buy the bag! I still love mine though and would never let my woc go! ☺️☺️

Omg I love my KKUWAN tote, it really is my carefree + work bag since the black is so versatile.
Personally, I find that Dior quality definitely trumps Chanel quality (especially in the last several years). Dior is still immaculate quality while Chanel quality has been decreasing. I am not about to pay current Chanel prices when I can get a better quality bag for several thousand less (depending on style). And while Chanel might be classic, I find it starting to get boring because soooo many people own them. I think Dior is a bit more progressive with their designs.

the WOC will be perfect if it used as what its intended to be used..an oversized wallet..i was disappointed at first when i couldnt fit everything inside until i accept the fact that i need to transfer everything from my wallet into it to use it properly...now i love my WOC!
I totally agree with you. I don't understand why people would carry a wallet in a wallet. Chanel WOC has enough card slots, a section for money and coins, a place where you can put your keys and lipstick and some more. WOC has literally a wallet word on it.

I bought the Chanel WOC first then realised I can’t fit in my own daily essentials at all so took it back and got the classic flap(medium?) instead, much better space and truely day to night fits all bag. The Dior one is so stiff and hard it hurts my skin.

I tried to fit that much in my woc once and it got too fat and heavy and ended up flipping the corner too much where chain touches the flap and the flap creased. It hurt my heart so bad, haha. Huhuhuhu.
I love the Dior one on the outside but I'm not sure on the inside.. It looks very plastic metallic to me, like how kids bags look... I wish the inside parts of it look like the outer part too :/

Very useful and informative video, but I found all the refocusing very distracting, and it meant a lot of the time the shot was out of focus.. When you know you're going to be showing an item like that, I would recommend not using such a shallow depth of field, so that when you're camera has to refocus, it's not so drastic.
you can get some sort of shortening hooks on etsy for about 5$ tl shorten the WOC straps, would be a better solition than stitching anything yourself on a chanel bag 😰

Given the price of the Chanel woc, I'd rather pay a little more buy a Chanel reissue and have an actual handbag or forget Chanel all together and buy from another brand. To be honest I just can't see myself buying Chanel again at their ridiculous prices.

@@clairek223 Chanel seem to have lost their mind and as I see it. It's just a handbag, it can't wash dishes or call in sick and lie to your boss on your behalf! So no Chanel only some kind of simpleton would continue to ride the Chanel train with these prices. Nope! I can buy my nephew a decent car for the price of a Chanel classic flap and pay the insurance. Or put £5,000 in his university fund either option is money well spent.

Katerina Alepou agreed that’s why I tried it without using the coin purse. But sometimes when you change in and out of bags all the time it’s too much effort to take all the cards out and put it in the slots. So I have to admit I do often use a coin purse inside the wocs all the time! 😂😂😂
