I had a few folks ask me to compare the Cold Steel AD10 to the Ultimate Hunter. Here are a few of my thoughts.

The AD-10 does not have a 4 inch blade. This reviewer is way off.

Hi Mr Slash. I love the Broken Skull . I have been edc'ing the Range Boss for awhile now , the action is perfect the steel is ehh but it does get it done. I have xl - xxl hands and the AD10 just barely fits but there's no extra room. I am excited for the Atlas Lock. Thanks
Absolutely the AD-10. The build, the grip the blade...It's a beast.

Yeah with the Tanto- I will be picking one up. Need to get the Ultimate Hunter to compare, I love the AD10.

Love my AD-10. I’m sure I’d love the Ultimate Hunter as well. Might have to pick one of them up too. Actually looks like a great hunting knife for field dressing deer
That's what I've hear from a couple of people who know.
Great review! I just picked up the 4 max scout on Amazon for about 80 bucks. I imagine that the AD-10 is pretty close, but a better size for those with medium hands. I noticed that accessing the thumb studs on the 4 max scout is a little challenging so I just let gravity help me flip it out. I will say that if the AD-10 is anything like the 4 max scout, I would be very happy to own one. The 4 max feels like you could conquer the world when you hold it in your hand.
The 4 Max feel is the best. The AD-10 is great, but I still like that 4-Max feel.
My orange Ultimate Hunter came today, tomorrow the AD-10 and AD-10 Lite...both Tantos...are set for delivery tomorrow. The Ultimate Hunter is SO light, amazingly light...but love the orange G10 🍊...can't wait to get the Tanto AD'S! While cool, hard to beat that 4-Max and 4-Max Scout...I likes em big :)
What do you think about the ultimate hunter vs the ad10 . I was thinking about picking up the hunter but O can't justify it because the ad10 so just so good.
Never had the pleasure of any of the full size knives that cold steel makes. The AD 10 seems to be the more desirable one. Thanks Mr Slash

I have both but carry the ultimate hunter more. I have it in my pocket right now as a matter of fact.
That's the way I see it working for a lot of folks.
I got the AD10 because of the heavy liners. It is on me now. Blade shapes are about the same and the AD10 is tougher!

Ultimate hunter orange plastic grips and budget steel oh how I dream, I just couldn’t sleep, would cry for hours if I ever lost or damaged a super steel knife!😭😭😭
I thought both of these knives have 3 1/2 inch blades. They look nice, but if I need a Cold Steel drop point blade, it needs to be at least 4 inches. Therefore the 4Max Scout or Voyager Large Drop Point for me, please!
You might be right. I may have been looking somewhere wrong.
The AD10 is definately more of a beast compared to the ultimate hunter, but for just cutting the ultimate hunter might cut better if it has a thinner blade but the AD10 does have a taller blade so it may come down to thickness behind the edge. Personally I'd take the AD10. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
It's a tough choice. I am really 50/50 right now on the two.

I like both but I personally find that the American Lawman is still a better EDC than either.
Tough to beat the Lawman. Just got another one this week. Tan XHP version.

Ad10 or Ultimate Hunter? There is no question or debate here. The only correct answer is "both". Lynn wouldn't approve of anything else 😉😁
Ultimate Hunter definitely has a better blade size and shape for dressing game. AD10 is more of an EDC, though it consistently loses to my 4Max and Recon 1 Tanto & Spear Point as an EDC. Still love it though.
As for hunting, I'll take you any day. You just need to get out to Prague, Czech Republic. No deer or big game, but loads of wild hogs and muflon sheep. I've dressed a bunch with my Ultimate Hunter and Master Hunter.
Oh shoot. Now you've done it. Time to get my passport in order.

I have the XHP model that came with that big ugly thick heal on the blade , so i ground it into a finger choil ... 👍🖖

Really too bad that CS stopped making the AD10 with a hollow grind. Much more effective grind.
