Visit, Discover, Explore and Invest in
ILOILO !!! the regional capital of Western Visayas, just a 4 hours drive away from the World renowned Boracay island, it's a first class highly urbanized city, boast a unique blend of ancient history, old-world charm and comforts of a modern city. Iloilo is more than just a tasty La Paz Batchoy (like Ramen) or the colorful Dinagyang festival (The best tourism event of PH, every 4th Sunday of January). Do you love seafood? then you must dine to the two of the most highly recommended restaurants, Tatoy's Restaurant: famous for its native roasted chicken and seafood and Breakthrough Restaurant: grilled Managat fish and Chicken Binakol is the best, seafood is also available. Iloilo has the freshest seafood in the region because of the abundance from near by towns and provinces in Panay island, Ilonggo cuisine is one of the most delicious in the country, in fact Iloilo is now hailed as the Food Haven of the country and recognized internationally by UNESCO as the Creative City of Gastronomy in the Philippines.
Visit our old Central Business District "Calle Real" (Royal Street) where the old world charm and the past is always present, the second old CBD declared as a heritage site after Escolta in Manila, J.M. Basa Street in Calle Real is famous for its Siopao (stuffed steamed buns), you can try it at Roberto's, Kamsukkee or Mr.Cow and Dainty Restaurant in Chinatown Iloilo (Iznart Street).
Visit Iloilo Business Park (by Megaworld) awarded as the best township development in Asia in 2018, behold the beauty of its Parisian and Italian inspired edifices and enjoy its everyday festive vibe. Aside from old historical churches like Molo church and its amazing mansions "the Molo Mansion" among others Iloilo is also known for its Museums, some of the first museums in the country can be found in the city, a must visit if you want to know more about its history, people culture, traditions, arts etc. Our beaches outside the city like Isla Gigantes in Carles was recognized as one of best by Forbes magazine, not far away is Guimaras island and it's sweetes mangoes. Experience nature in the city? visit Iloilo River Esplanade, the longest linear park in the country, the best to jog, walking, exercise or just enjoy the sun and the river (the nature) especially in the morning, boat ride is also available in the area. Iloilo is also known as a bike friendly city in fact it is considered the Bike Capital of the country.
Fyi: all public markets in the city are being modernized and two are positioned to compete with other modern markets in the world.
The city has great and modern shopping malls too like SM City Iloilo, Festive Walk Iloilo, Robinsons at City proper, Jaro district and Pavia and Vista Mall to name a few, but many Ilonggos are now very excited to the soon to rise SM Supermall in Jaro district, according to it's management the future mall is bigger than SM Megamall, the construction is expected to start in 2024. S&R like Costco is also present located in Mandurriao district and the soon Landers Superstore at Iloilo Business Park. For entertainment IMAX with laser the first in the Visayas and Mindanao is now open in SM City Iloilo to give you a world-class movie going experience.
In the evening a unique selection of bars and restaurants especially in Mandurriao district awaits you.
Don't forget to bring home Iloilo with you, Biscocho by Biscocho haus in Jaro and Galletas by Panaderia de Molo Est. in 1872 is probably the oldest bakeshop in the country located in Molo district is the best pasalubong or take home, also in Molo is the famous Pansit Molo (like wonton soup) and Jo-ann's Fishball at the Plaza is also a must try. These and more... have fun, enjoy and stay safe.

13:08 Those are pandan. Haha. The bags should have been a clue. Pandan is used extensively in traditional weaving in the Philippines. From bags to baskets to banig (bedmats/floormats), and in ancient times, sails of boats. They usually grow on beaches but can also grow in limestone-rich areas deeper inland.

You travelled Antipolo, Teresa, turn left to Morong, Baras, Tanay, Pililla the last town of Rizal. Then you entered the first town of Laguna which is Mabitac, siniloan, famy, pangil, pakil, paete, kalayaan, lumban, pagsanjan, cavinte, Louisiana the last town of Laguna. The lucban, tayabas and finally lucena city😊😊

Hi Susie, we, here from Manila have decided to move in to Baguio this coming May or June. Hehe. Not bad of a choice for the places you guys are scouting. But better to try to stay and live for at least 3 days to 1 week to get to feel the vibes of the environment, the community and security, and the ins and outs of things like how far the market is, is there a school nearby, is there a near hospital to run to in emergencies, cost of living: food, house, electricity and water. These stuff are always being considered when moving to a location. That's what we did when we scouted a location in Baguio. I hope you can fine the better and best place to hearts and your liking. God bless always, you lovely and humble couple. ❤️❤️❤️ Hi Jonathan, pare, regards. 👍👍👍

Just some tips: the east side of Luzon, including the Bicol region, are more prone to typhoon, unfortunately. So consider that if you’re deciding on those regions. The less prone to seasonal typhoon are the western Visayas and Mindanao. If you like provincial life, but still have convenient access to prime cities, Pampanga, Bulacan, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Tagaytay, Cebu are good options.

12:23 Yep. That's what I said before. Real bibingka is a ricecake, a kakanin. Made with sticky rice paste and coconut milk. So it's soft and moist and spongy. It's why I dislike the bibingka in Manila and other cities in southern Luzon because they're more like cake with egg.
