I have the bracelet jig and both kinds of fids. All three are invaluable tools and makes the job very easy. Also the no burn way of finishing the bracelet makes you and the the bracelet look professional.
Amazing this video really helped I could not figure out how to make a cobra stitch with 2 colrs and this video really helped me. Other videos did not help but this one really did.
Thanks again Kevin, you're a good teacher, even with my brain injuries I can follow your videos, they're great occupational therapy for me with the extra benefit of being able to create gifts for my kids, grandkids & kids Thunder & I visit in the hospital. KUDOS Kevin!!
Kevin, I burn my ends on my paracord and they are not disgusting at all. If I ad a camera I would show you what I mean but I don't have one. Hopefully I'll get one in the future.
Great video! Thanks!!! Have you ever used the Para Cord 750? I don't know how long it's been available (probably a long time), but I only recently learned of it. The difference seems to be that the 750 cord has 11 internal strands, versus 7 in the 550 cord, and a minimum tensile strength of 750lbs.
Can you tell me how much paracord you would use for certain wrist lengths? I've heard stuff like if your wrist is 7 inches, then you have to use 7 feet of paracord. Is this the right way of doing it? Or is there a more accurate way to determine how much to use?
what your rule of thumb for total length of cord to use once you figure out the length of the wrist to save from waste. Ive heard 10 times the length of the wrist length plus the buckles is good... i know trial and error but i prefer something to work off of
Only problem with this splice is if you ever need the cord for "survival" use...such as lifting a person, or other emergencies where you need the strength of a paracord, that splice will not hold. Just for a bracelet it is fine.
I like to measure my wrist and whatever my wrist measures in inches I use that about of paracord in feet. so if my wrist is 9 inches around then I would use 9 ft of paracord, maybe even a little more just in case.
Ok i have been making these for a while now and i have been trying to find a way to change the colors half way through without cutting currently i have orange on the outside and blue on the inside but i want to invert that half way through so blue is on the outside and orange is on the inside do you know of a way?
at my school they made a bunch of these for anyone who donated five dollars for a place that builds water wells in africa and i have like 6 but now its over and i want to make my own but the teacher who makes them doesnt use a kit like that at all i just wanna make one not all this extra equiptment if u havent noticed kids dont really get that much money and we spend it on more important stuff than kits
Kevin is such a GREAT father! I'm a 62 y/o grandfather and would be proud to have him as a son!!

Good stuff there Mr. Kevin, I like the way you are joining your two pieces of cord..
Nice vid. Great tip on joining the two cords
Great vid. Could you show us the best way to a bracelet with 4 inner strand instead of just two? Thanks.
The general rule I have been hearing is that for every inch you want a foot of cord. Not sure how accurate that is but I think its a sound rule.

How long should is the rope to start? If I need a 6" finished product, how long should the rope be when I start???
Nice tutorial.
I have a question... Where can I find a tutorial to make that tool you have to make the paracord bracelets.
Thanks ;D
Nice video dude. Where are the link?
I don't see your link with using the fids? I just need to know where to start weaving it through the work so it blends in nicely
I can't find the right video that shows how to finish the bracelets like you mentioned in the video - can you link it here? Thanks!
How much paracord do you use on for the bracelet?
Which uses more paracord: The ladder rack or cobra stitch?
your alternative method you linked while you are melting the two ends is acctually this same vid, just a heads up

But on the jig, since you are weaving with the hump side of the buckle up, wouldn't the part that you see bee the opposite that you are weaving?

Great tip, thanks for sharing..Rich in Tx.
I will have to try your method of joining paracord.

How much cord in total do you use for a bracelet of this size
