- In tonight's video I am making the Liberty Christmas Tree for your Box in 2022
I started earlier in the year and when my family visited in the summer, I got help to sew the brown paper packets from John, Anna, Owen and Rita - my boys and their wives! It all got a little chaotic! So if your Christmas Tree is in a packet with slightly wonky stitches, you'll know it was one of those speedy ones! Thanks boys!
Here you will find all the information you need if you are interested in ordering a Last Homely House Christmas Box 2022. They will be on sale in my shop on 30th October at 7pm GMT
www.thelasthom.... If you would like to ensure that you get a box, please go straight to the shop at 7PM on Sunday (30th of October) and don't watch the video first.
Last year, someone on the Instagram Arm of The Lime Green Sofa won a free Box . This year someone from my Patreon Channel will be the lucky recipient. Please note I will only ever contact people directly and never via an app! So Patrons at every level will be in with a chance!
/ scheduled
Watch tomorrow night when I will start to show you the next item in this years Box! notifications on!!
I create extra content for my Patrons and you can check that out here.

Watching you and Anna contentedly working away on your tree packaging has really brightened my day. I left my job as a full time primary teacher five years ago as it was getting too much with my MS. Watching your videos has been a true highlight of my days at home alone. You have truly made me feel that living a quiet life filled with little tasks done with love is a life filled with value. You have inspired me to create my own Christmas cards each year and to make feltboard stories for a teacher friend. I’ve made three books by following your instructions. I’ve collected some fabric and am almost ready to begin some sort of quilting project. I putter and rest and am quietly content. And you are in a large part responsible for this peace I have found with my quieter life at home. I have just wanted so much to tell you that but have only recently started commenting. Thank you.
April I was very touched reading your comment. There's alot to be said for a peaceful life . Take care & happy crafting. Enjoy the quilting it's wonderful & very addictive 😂
Funny how being part of a lovely community makes you not feel alone. We are all here for each other and our crafting, whatever type, is very special because we love it ❤❤ sending you a virtual ⚘xx
What a lovely comment.reach out, we are all here if you need us.Take care.x
April, Marilyn here.
I agree with you. I am also retired and I am fairly new on the LGS and I literally watch Kate’s videos night and day . I find inspiration , contentment and peace and GREAT comfort in her quiet gentle ways. She really draws one in to make you feel part of her cherished family. I have started making small projects inspired by her and even have adopted the colors pink and green! I try to recreate a version of TLHH in my daily life now and corners of my home. So welcome to the “SOFA” !
You , like myself, have stumbled onto a most treasured experience; to know our Kate.

April, you have put into words my thoughts and feelings as well!! I also have MS as well as 7 other autoimmune diseases and live my life in bed or slowly pottering around making projects as you are. xx
I love it when your family members show up to help you with your projects. So much fun. Hi everyone.
Hi from south Fl USA

The cornflake story is hilarious. Totally made my day. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
I totally agree! That will make me chuckle every time I see a cereal box now
Too much initiative young Kate! 😄
“I love a repetitive task”. I’m with you, Kate!!
Me, too!

Great of you to mention that. I was so fortunate to get a box the first year and opening each gift was a joy and surprise. To think this very kind person who never met me packaged each special item with so much care and thoughtfulness still brings tears to my eyes. I am happy for each person who is able to receive a box this year.

Just go by GMT, not BST. She did mention that in the first video.
What fun! I love the old fashioned feel of it all, from the beautiful little handmade gift to the family and friends getting together to help! It all warms the heart! Thank you for what you do! ❤️
I feel like this would be a wonderful thing to do for children and grandchildren. Hand made things for the season.
I agree. children need to see how much love goes into handmade items. so they can continue with tradition. seems like we're losing so much these days. I love traditions
Your daughter in law is adorable. I am blessed with wonderful daughter in laws too.
I am very fortunate with my three children's choice of partners - I never take it for granted! xxx
The next time I see the Cornflakes box in the grocery store - I will be standing alone and laugh out loud remembering your sweet story❤ LOVED the video of you and your sweet family working production on the Christmas boxes. So very special.
Oh Kate! I LOVE a production line...I wish I lived nearer to you so that I could come and help...not least because then I might get to meet your family...especially Anna...she is so lovely...x
The cornflake story never gets old!😂
How nice to see Rita ! The Christmas tree are beautiful ! As soon as I saw Anna wearing a teeshirt I thought : they are working in the summer, you are always wearing a jumper. 🙂
Great job making bags with Christmas trees in and sprinkles of stars.
How happy you must have been to have both your boys surrounding you at the sewing machine!
Absolutely love the cornflakes story. Just heart warming to see you with your family there helping out , just sweet , thanks much for sharing and for all you do...
I love them! And love your production methods (especially that ingenious way of cutting the threads and having the bags pile themselves up.)
How wonderful that you, Anna and the rest of your family spend Summer days making Christmas trees🎄. So very thankful and special ❤
The cornflake story was hilarious! Perhaps it explains why you like putting glitter in packages? LOL So good to see you and Anna chatting while working; feels like I'm sitting right there with you both! Blessings.
I think you are right! from a very early age I have enjoyed packing treats into boxes! ha ha! xxx
Oh my stars, you have been busy! Looks like everyone was having fun. The trees are adorable.
Awwww, love your trees, they're so sweet! Pink and gold is a FUN colour theme and you know, those gold stars in the packet would NEVER be wasted - I love the idea of sewing them onto the tree! Loved the family assembly line - and to see Owen found his true calling - the scissors.... Truly made me giggle! You have an amazing family and can't wait to see what John's making.....!!!!!! (yes, I was paying attention). :) xxx
Good morning from NZ, it's very therapeutic, watching your process Kate. Lovely.
Hello Kate, Ann, John and friends. The trees are quite nice. Will look great hanging from a tree branch on the Christmas tree! 🥰
Or a doorknob or window latch or cabinet door...
@@lindaleal809 Great ideas!
Love these extra videos. John being John is a hoot. Can't wait to see what he adds to the Christmas box this year. Anna has become as dear as you are.
The thing I keep thinking is that we are going to turn around and the Little One will be helping to pack boxes. You do have a sweet family.
The trees are wonderful! I hope this year I can get a box.
How fun to participate in your time travel experiences! 😁 I marvel that you contribute your own hand made item in each box. I couldn't make that many of anything! Loved the story of your subversion on the factory floor. 😉
I enjoy the relationship and affection that is evident between you and Anna! This is such a calming UA-cam channel to watch. Just like quilting is my therapy your channel is my meditation 😊. All the best to you and your wonderful family. ❤
Love a production line. Time and motion for the quickest, most efficient. So nice to see the family pitching in. Love the trees - would make a nice “bunting” style banner.
What a great idea to sew the stars on your tree. Love you kate.
These trees are so cute, so perfect for the boxes. Love how your family gets involved, ❤️
You made my day with the cornflake story!...of course, you make my day every time I watch!
Team work. Makes the dream work xxxxxxxxxxx
I do love it when we all get together and make things! though that was a bit frantic! xxx
I always am wondering how you continue coming up with creative and lovely ideas. You are truly a wonder.

I have learned to sew from watching UA-cam! I started in 2020 making masks! Now making quilts! And VERY obsessed with watching your channel! 🎉❤🎉
I so enjoyed watching you girls today! Very special memories y’all are making 🥰 I’ve set my alarm to try to purchase a Christmas Box to be sent to Shreveport,Louisiana USA. My first time to try! I had decided not to decorate for Christmas this year but if I get a box I will have to have a tree 🌲 ready to put my package 📦 under. Thank you for all your videos. Kate you are a very special lady 🥰😘🥰
Good luck!
The fact that you are making the bags in addition to the trees themselves is amazing. Just makes them all that more special !!! I can't wait to purchase my Christmas box .
oh these are adorable!! Such a fun way to get some Liberty fabric in your life.
Just love the care you and Anna take with things.
Kate you are so creative and generous ❤️
I love the things you do. Anna and you family are such big helpers. I love watching each of the things you do, and you are my inspiration. I also use you as my background person to listen to when I sew mostly in the middle of the night. Again, think you for being there when I need company.
Thank you so much, I'm very happy to keep you company!!! xxx
Lol, 3 words you said brought back so many memories. “GMT” from my time in the Navy.
Oh Kate , I’m having a cold dreary day . I got your notification and so I’m sitting with my feet up and hot cup of coffee. It’s so nice to spend this afternoon with you. Thank You.
I am doing the same. Had to get away from all the terrible news. So, Hello Kate and Anna! Aloha
Ohhh! I so love those little bags. I was lucky enough to get one with the pin cushion and directions and I still have it. Such a great way to brand what you do. The family scene was special.
We like to say “team work makes the dream work!” Great job Kate and Anna!
Your family is just so loving and supportive of your creative endeavors!! And Anna is just a gem!! Beautiful Liberty tree ornaments!! 🎄💕
I love the trees you created! Your family is awesome and the Kellogg's cornflakes story is wonderful. Even back then you had great imagination!

After watching this video I think I know where John gets his divilment from 😂. Also I love those little bags ... They'd be a great idea for children's parties!
That was so funny ...your story about your 1st job... Putting all the cards in one box with one corn flake. You are so funny...your personality came thru back then ...
The lady from Azerbaijan reminds me of my grandmother. Lover her channel too
I would love to be sitting with you and Anna making bags and having a nice chat. That would make me very content. I love watching you make all of your projects.

I lov4 my tree! Thank you Kate and family! Be well.
what beautiful family dynamic's
Liberty of London fabrics? My favorite. ❤️
Its SOLD OUT !! Im weeping! Good for you, Kate! We all are in search of your beautiful , handmade trinkets! My calendar arrived today, its so pretty !
Hello Santas little helpers 😊 So excited about Sunday 7.00pm 😀 Love to you both Cherry xx
I love the bag idea. I’ve just sold my tiny condo and had everything moved into my new senior apt with 3 bedrooms 2 bath. Now I have a dedicated art room. I’ll be looking for a new sewing machine. I make a different ornament every year to send in family packages and this will be perfect. I have tons of rumpled packing paper that will make perfect wrapping paper. Instead of sewing I’ll stamp them with a potato stamp. I’m gonna use pinking shears on the felt outer edge.
You and your family are just the best! Love love love watching and admiring all the special things you do. It gives-me so much peace and contentment every time I watch your videos. Just wish I could just drop in for a visit and have tea and crumpets.❤
I love your chatter w Anna. I re-read the Harry Potter books coz my granddaughter is now old enough to read them and see the films so I needed a refresher!
I loved the Kellogg’s story. It’s clear that John comes by his mischief honestly!! Lots of Love! Alicia
Love the trees and stars. Absolutely love your hand made brown paper bags. You work so hard, to bring us inspirational videos. Lovely to see your other family members on the production line. You are so blessed Kate. Mary 😊❤ xx
I wish we could buy the Stephen Fry reading of the Harry Potter books here in the USA. I LOVED our reading by Jim Dale. You would swear it was a cast of 100's. But I have listened to him so many, many times. Our family wore out its cassette tapes, and then bought them again in CD's, and now digitally!! If I could hear Stephen Fry, it would make it new again.
Love you Kate and love seeing your projects and cats
That Kellogg's story is priceless! My grandmother lived just a couple miles from their Battle Creek Michigan headquarters, so every year growing up we'd receive things from their gift shop. Needless to say the company holds a place of honor in our family.
What an enterprising and creative woman you are, Kate!
I found you randomly re: the colorwash quilt.
I’ve never quilted before but I’ve gone out and bought cutting mat, rotary cutter, 3.5” square.. and some fabrics to challenge myself! Thank you. You are a darling duo with Anna.. thoroughly enjoying binge watching your vids:)
I watched this yesterday, and tried a few this morning. They sort of morphed from one technique to another, but were lots of fun. I enjoy your videos and chats.
Thanks for the visit. I love those trees!!
That cornflake story made me laugh! I wish they would have let it be sent out😂
I love your joy in making beautiful things and attention to detail in making them even better!!!❤
Love the idea of sewing on glittery stars. Makes me think of ways to use up the glass full of little snowfake sequins that are leftover from our stimbottles, we made with our kids.
Sweet sight - that little tree hanging on the tree in the garden.
Love those trees! Wonderful idea Kate
Luv luv luv 💖💖💖watching you and Anna from the lime green sofa 💖💖💖
Wonderful idea! I always make a new ornament for family members every year and you just solved my problem this year!
Oh yes! I like things in stages as well. It’s the Henry Ford way. The car assembly line. I make about 75 book bags for Operation Christmas Child each year….the ministry of Franklin Graham sending shoe boxes around the world to children with the love and messages of Jesus. I cut ten at a time. Cut the handles, etc. Listening to a book, or music, or just the birds outside. It’s like meditation. Love those Liberty prints and the sweet little trees.
I can spend quite a few hours watching a Turkish woman baking, cooking, and preserving traditional food from her region! I also love to watch cookies being decorated with Royal icing. - such creativity/artistry!
isn't UA-cam remarkable! you can watch absolutely ANYthing! xxx
Good morning from Elverta, California!! Your corn flakes story gave me a hardy laugh!!
I love the Christmas trees..❤❤.you have made me feel all Christmassy now....😀😀Looking forward to seeing whats next to go in the box...🙂🙂
Your JUKI would have screamed through those tree bags!!!
it would I guess - more fun with the kids though! ha ha!
This is such a beautiful idea 🥰 I just watched the candle holders too. My kids are only little but I feel so inspired now to create Christmas boxes with them for our family and friends ❤️
I always find that "strange" or "weird" people are much more interesting to know. And listen to. Different is good.
