Most arcades used to be around 50% video games 50% gambling, the introduction of the PlayStation in the mid 90s gave people the ability to play near arcade quality games at home. Very soon after this games start to change from the arcade game style where you had to try and survive for 5 minutes a time feeding 10ps into it for the pleasure, to playing games for hours a time at home. Slowly the games in the arcades became less and less and got replaced with gambling machines with prizes tokens and fruit machines. To sum up its not profitable to run an arcade with video games anymore. The games you see now are few and far between and do little more then tick over and add atmosphere without any obligation to have them by the arcade owner.
"Most arcades used to be around 50% video games 50% gambling, the introduction of the PlayStation in the mid 90s gave people the ability to play near arcade quality games at home." - true true! I agree! "its not profitable to run an arcade with video games anymore" - Disagree! This attitude is very lazy and also greedy. There are many successful arcades which rely on our systems to profit, rather than seeking gambling redemption. Take a look at some of my other videos and you can see many many examples.
That carpet is a thing of beauty. You should grab a few squares of it for your dance shed.
haha! You don't see carpet like that anymore, that's for sure!!
Its not bad.
