    Thanks Eddie , The temperature is high for just 1 amp !
    With 2 amps even higher !!
    better do some cooling grease between the amp and Cooler
    Also I like to know how hot it gets when using both of them
    You don’t use a noisy fan at the back of your amp at home
    And what influence has the fase on music quality?
    Thanks in advance
    Best regards Bert

      Bert van Lelieveld YW Bert and thanks for the great questions! I’ll explain what I think the phase might do to music and power both channels in the next video.

    Enjoyed this video.You going in and utilizing your test equipment. Showing what the amp can do. Hopefully you get some time and can do more hands on videos again. Just for fun I ordered some cheap DIY audio amp kits off ebay. I ordered a LM386, TDA7297, TDA2030A. I figured it would be fun to see which setup was best for powering bookshelf speakers.

    THE THING THAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THAT CLASS AB AMPLIFIER IS MOST PEOPLE USE EIGHT OHM SPEAKERS HOWEVER,IT DOES HAVE IMPRESSIVE RESULTS.

      Hi David, this amp works great with 8 ohm loads too. I used 4 ohms to show how it can handle that load.

    forgive my ignorance but I was expecting to see crossover distortion on the output but it looked perfect.

    • @KissAnalog

      Thanks for the great question! I appreciate you asking... The beauty of the Class A/B is that it is biased enough that there should be no cross over distortion. It is kind of like a Class A just about the crossover point.

    LOL nice with a video I can understand without having to squeeze my brain:-)
    At 10:20 you have some clipping, right? You decided to turn down for the input signal, but could you not also have turned up for the supplied voltage? I am wondering, how do an amplifier react if voltage is fine but there is not enough current?
    ;-) to you to:-)

      That’s great - I’m glad this one was easy;) I need a power supply with higher voltage. The GW Instek power supply is only rated for 30 Vdc, but it goes up a little higher than that. I’ll do a quick example to show when the current is not high enough - that’s a great question! Thank you for the great feedback and questions!

      The high freq oscillation is caused because lm3886 was used with resistive load, with a speaker that oscillation disappear. This circuit is waiting for a inductive load... One colegue did a video and figure out this "problem".

    Some of the distortion you see when you crank it up is high frequency oscillation. This shows the amp isn't quite stable under all conditions. It shouldn't oscillate at the clip point.

    • @KissAnalog
      @KissAnalog  4 роки тому

      I’ll take some time and look at this. Not sure if it is related to the power supply or amp...

    • @ralphgould2783

      @@KissAnalogIt is usually the compensation of the driver stage being too small. You can try placing a cap across the feedback resistor or slightly increasing its value if one is present. The power supply is not usually the culprit unless you are using a regulated supply. The current peak might cause the regulator to burst into oscillation if its unstable. Hope this helps your search.

    • @KissAnalog
      @KissAnalog  4 роки тому

      Hi Enio - that's interesting... It could be a bad connection, or a ground issue. You could try placing a 10 ohm resistor in series with the input signal return/gnd. This might isolate the ground/loop issue - if that is what it is. Let us know how it goes...
