- David and Nicole met in Middle school and started dating in high school. Their senior year of high school they had their daughter and as David puts it "We aren't perfect but we are so glad that God's grace brings order to disorder and now we strive to put him first in all we do"
After 10 years in the NFL with the Colts and Titans David proposed to Nicole and they had this amazing wedding at the Umstead Hotel in Cary, NC.

Cynthia Dickerson I agree 100% , if the man doesn’t pursue a woman to show he loves her then that Union is doomed. Too many black women tried to follow the white woman’s feminist movement but fail to understand that this caused the the demolish of black families. White women always get married in higher numbers than black women, because they don’t follow that feminist nonsense, they know how to treat their men. We fight our black men, and have a lot of anger because their own father was not in the picture. We settle for low grade men, because we think that is all we can get in the dating market. That’s why there are so many single BW, with children and no father in the picture to co-parent. If u say who the hell am I to speak? I have been married for 36 years, and my husband and I are Christians and show mutual respect love and honor to one another. It is possible for black love if you’re willing to do the work to keep your marriage healthy!
Putting GOD First is EVERYTHING! I LOVED the foundational principles for the family as well. The ending was beautiful as well. This is the sort of BS that lead to divorce. People talk jazz when they are getting married, spend thousands of dollars for meaningless wedding ceremonies but when the shit hit the fan, everything goes out the door, good luck I have been married for 30yrs and spent $15 at the county clerks office, all my kids have graduated from college and the $30k I would have spent is now over $200k.
Ok. Great. I love black familial success. However, some HAVE spent money on a lavish wedding and are still married, with educated, good kids, and are thriving as a sacred unit. Try to quell your suppressed jealousy that you didn't have a grand wedding and reception. I don't know about these two, in the video, but many have done similarly.
