    Christmas story time!
This album blew me away when it came out. I learned several of the songs and tormented my family by playing them, and especially this song, loudly right around Christmas time. Even though my sister likes (some) metal, she was not impressed. Since then it’s been a running joke for us every Christmas to play this song very loud in the car, or at our mother’s home. So this cover is dedicated to her!
    - I’m using my Dingwall Combustion 4-string with a modded pickguard
    - The tone is made with plugins in Logic.
    - The tuning is C standard (you can play it in drop C too).

The fast chugs are a bit tricky to get tight, but otherwise it’s rather straightforward, I think. A couple of clever arrangement choices though, like the single bar of 2/4 in the outro.

Dingwalls are so good for lower tunings that low C sounds huge and clear with the 36 inch scale the scale on the 4 strings is 34 to 36 or 37 if its a 5 string for those that don't know

How do you play the riff at 27 and the riffs from 103 to 130?

I assume you mean the fast 16th-note chugs? I don't really know how to tell you, just do it :P
But on a more serious note, I'm kind of palm muting a little bit which helps. Using a thinner pick also makes it easier, I think (I'm using a .60 here). Also, if you look closely you can see that I'm picking close to the bridge, where the strings are tighter and move less. Keep your wrist relaxed and try to be smart about how you use the energy of your motion.
