Peak Design Sling 6L for minimal set ups when I'm out local for the day or after work and I may want to carry extra gear or grab shopping and have somewhere to put it, no bag if I have only an hour or so, and if I'm travelling Peak Design Everyday Backpack is ideal, really comfortable and fits everything I need.
My minimal street kit involves no bag. EOS R5 + 28-70mm f/2. I use a Peak Design Slide strap with a Falcam F38 quick-release. I can sling the camera behind me to go hands free when required. I can keep a CPL and ND filter in a pouch in my pocket. Lens gives me plenty of options in the street and is as easy to carry as a bag alone.
@@stew_redman when talking minimal I wasn't thinking of having 3-4 primes. I usually go out with just an X100V or maybe the X-Pro3 and 18mm in my sling depending on where I'm shooting. But the main thing is you're using what you're comfortable with, doesn't need to be minimal necessarily
@@daveincork I keep my film photography minimal, but with digital I'm not so happy to be limited to a single focal length. A high-quality mid-zoom gives me the options and reproduction I'm after. I'm a big unit, so the setup is lighter than my leather jacket overall :D
Mine is just a Pacsafe 4 liters belt bag. Inside are canon m200 with 50mm f1.8 connected to a viltrox adaptor (just ordered My 22mm f2 and it will be my main lens when it arrives), a wallet, house keys and 1 extra battery.
Unfortunately, I don't stay in the most happening city myself, but when i do visit those places, I tend to carry a few lenses with me. I think I will pick up a PD Sling to reduce the carry when I'm out on the streets.
I use a 500ml hip pack with my GRIII, my wallet, my house key, and that's all I bring. Nothing else. Unless I go hiking and then I strap a 1L water bottle to the underside of the hip pack. All the weight on my waist is so much more comfortable over time than over my shoulder.
Thanks for getting back into the street photography! I was a little bummed to hear you dogging on the genre but you made great points. Some channels have made a joke of it but I really dig the way you approach showing your process. Keep doing you man!
I have two bags one for my small point and shoot a fanny pack and my mirror less I use a bag by hex it is the hex mini sling..I like your setup Evan I move with 1 camera 1 lens ...less is more ftw
Getting caught up on videos. Been working too hard at too many things. I prefer no bag but I do use a small messenger style bag that probably holds the same amount. I use a Insta360 GO2 on my camera. I am thinking of getting the GO3 (45 minutes run time & 128mb of storage). Its smaller than the DJI Action 2. (that is the camera you showed)
Love video’s like this 🙏🏽 thanks ! I 90% overpack so really going to look for something as small for my Leica X1 or fuji X-t3 .. any suggestions as of bags and max L size
It's sad to see people with such beautiful cameras shooting for an algorithm & having their work consumed on a 4x3 inch screen. Where did it all go wrong?
Thanks for watching! I just double checked and this bag is out of stock at ASRV but there is a camo version if you're into that.
I like that bag a lot and am thinking of picking one up for my Q-P. Is the Q2 a tight fit in there? Seems like it would poke your back while carrying?
Thanks!
I’m rocking a sling bag. Fuji xt4. 23mm and 56mm and a filter pack. Keys and wallet
Nice set up.
I'm rocking Peak Design Everyday 3L, X-T3, xf18 f2 and xf35 f1.4 with spare batteries and powerbank.
Same here but M50 and 32 f1.4 and Sigma 16 f1.4

I know I have been eyeing the PD Sling myself for a while now for when I want a minimal setup for quick shooting.
I've had it for a year now. It feels a little bulky to drag around and not super comfortably. Will probably get myself the ASRV bag for christmas

no bag but a huge camera and lens, wouldn't call it minimal :P but whatever works!
@@daveincork That lens takes the place of 3-4 primes. One strap, hands free.

that bag looks perfect, hopefully they restock at some point

Love your street photography approach Evan!! Simple and effective as always. Great work mate🙏
Just bought the 24-70mm g master lens for my A7Riii. Def need a smaller bag when going around the city and taking photos.
I started doing this over the fall of last year instead of carrying a bag I just grab camera and pick one lens and go. Made things easier I think.
Exactly!

Perfect words 👌, and you look amazing what ever you do 💖😍

I’ve been looking at the ASRV bag but was wondering if a Sony a7 ll would fit??? Any suggestions

Well said! I use the same approach!
do u think its big enough for the sony a7 iv?
will the asrv bag hold a sony a1 with a 35gm?
if anyone knows the name of that tinny DJI Action camera model / name? Thanks
With it out of stock I am currently looking for a bag SIMILAR to that ASRV bag. If anyone has any recommendations, lmk
Where can i purchase one of these bags from please

Can you add links to some of the gear I think it’s very unique and cool
Sure, what caught your attention?
The filters and the pouch please🙏🏻
Watching this, puts me to think, why some photographers are all around then with huge bags and just have one camera and one lens on the go😂😂😂
The shower would have provided more clarity.

For real
Absolutely!
Nowhere. Business is still there. Consumption is another thing.
People see more of those (tiny) images than ever in history, maybe it's not so bad huh
Notice me senpai
The real MVP!
the graffiti brings out street photography
Am i the only one that use his neck and shoulders to carry a camera?😂 i’m talking of street photography and not customers works and projects of course
