    I had just got out of the Army and most of my friends were still serving and I was listening to the radio and a dance studio was giving free lessons if you answered a question correctly, so I did and got two months free lessons. I had a ball most of the people their were girls a few my age. and that's were I learned to Cha Cha
    .

    Ty this method is better for me than pattern style, which is confusing and distracting. This style has the right focus.

    COunting of Cha Cha Cha of this clip may cause a bit of confusing....
    To make it easy for new learners (or beginners or anyone) it should be :
    - One, Two, Cha Cha Cha ==> (4 beats altogether) ==> (One = 1 beat; Two= 1 beat; Cha Cha Cha = 2 beats.)
    or
    - Two, Three, Cha Cha Cha ==> (4 beats altogether) ==> (Two= 1 beat; Three= 1 beat; Cha Cha Cha = 2 beats.)

    I have these, arrived last week. But there was no information. I am just a bit worried about what is in that sticky stuff that might permeate the skin. Can you offer a bit more information. Also, I wish they came with containers.. tough to travel with. I like them for a few hours a day or for special dress up.

    DDR.. Thank you Stephanie, thank you David. Lot of information in there. The whole body posture, weight distribution is so important and totally overlooked. You broke it down to it's essentials, then smoothly built it back up. i have to agree with Mr Pearce, perhaps a little too much talking, especially about sternum/hip connection - totally relevant but a little to technical - make the explanations a separate video - hey you did say that. Really do like how you emphasis the sense of rhythm in yourself before the music. Get the feel for the moves first then let the music carry you on.

      I agree he talks too much, I,m 86 years old & have been dancing since I was 12 & can still dance,e were taught simply the first basic steps forward back cha cha left-back forward cha right, Gentleman Lady revers, keep it simple, all of the counts the same for moves New york spot turns hand to hand, etc.

    You need more dance action but less talk!
    Also need to straighten and flex your knees instead of dancing in locked sitting position.

    • @DrDanceRight
      @DrDanceRight  2 роки тому

      You need to learn how to dance. If you do not lower into the floor by bending your knees and pushing them slightly forward you are not dancing you are walking. If you don’t keep your spine angled slightly forward creating a pinch in your pelvic area you are not dancing you are walking. If you alternate straightening one leg as you bend the other, you can create hip movement but the only time there’s enough time to straighten and bend a leg is during rumba. If you go to a faster dance like cha-cha or salsa there’s not enough time to straighten the leg all the way unless you want to feel and look stupid. Obviously you are confusing walking to the music with dancing. You are a walker not a dancer.
