Recording 4k on phones is so pointless with the poor lenses that can be fit in them though. Its up there with believing megapixels result in better photographs.
***** UA-cam stabilisation only works if you do not have a logo or any graphics on the screen with the video, otherwise well it makes all the graphics jiggle. :)
because youtube one is similar to the adobe one. it zooms in far too much and then is always moving the frame I have never used this instagram app so i have a question: doesnt it shoot horizontally? because it if it doesnt, that should be added to app before adding image stabilization.
Instagram's hyperlapse app doesn't look like a real professional hyperlapse. It just looks fast forwarded. A real hyperlapse is done by taking many pictures while moving a little bit at a time so the effect is not the same. It's similar but a real hyperlapse looks way better.
You can do 1080p and 40x speed up. Just enter the hidden menu: Versteckte Einstellungen Hyperlapse von Instagram / Hidden settings Hyperlapse From Instagram
spoiler:
Very scary ending!
Terrifying. Hmmm..
Life changing
A phone that shoots in 4K is a must with something like this. You get perfect 1080P footage without video degradation.

Liam Parkinson it's great for image stabilization. I have seen it in action & it's perfect looking.
Instagram better get their shit right and release this on Android sooner, being exclusive to iCrapOS is DOA.
Kaipo Fitisemanu it will , instgram said they will bring it on the android platform
Hanif Zack Google needs to released supporting API for developers to access certain hardware functionality- the camera.
This actually looks quite impressive for a phone, looking forward to an android version!
That's impressive. Waiting on that Android app. Waiting for Instagram not to suck on Android for that matter...
I wish there was a word for understanding and agreeing with someone completely... because I would totally use it right now
Duke Slaven totes magotes.
Thumbs up for the funky jam
Tested the app out. Loving it so far!
It does a pretty good job!
This is amazing!
The verge of all companies should know that hyper lapse is the best at stabilization because its not afraid to degrade quality.
Man, we are really advancing tech wise.
Oh, finally some interested feature there
Wow,this new app is really great
Seriously need to have this on my computer, Microsoft is soon gonna launch an app for this. WOW.
Why doesn't anyone compare it to UA-cam stabilization...
UA-cam stabilization is a complete joke
el guapo I suppose there was a better alternative prior to Instagram's solution? Either way, a comparison to prove that would be nice.

Awesome.
Pretty good job! Combine that with a good phone camera and boom!
The 2 videos are from 2 different origins. They were shot at different time.
awesome
the office reminds of GTA5 when Michael put the bomb in to the phone.
I don't understand. Why wouldn't you physically attach the two phones, one with hyperlapse, one without to get a true comparison???
Wow!

Well that's the end of hyperlapses being cool.
Pretty cool! Might try if it comes to android.
DAT FINAL
My HTC One camera has OIS!!!
Just FYI Microsoft Research was first but Instagram is the first to deliver it so.. sorry MSFT. I hope they make it better and crush Instagram :P
So much for Microsoft's Hyperlapse project... :P
Hey! How to shoot video with the stabilization and not time-lapse?
you just shoot and move the slider to 1
There will this app be avaible on android
GS5 already does that..
you tube stabilization is horrific , seriously are you kidding , you have to be
WOW...i dont get the difference.
how can we get the app ?
I think i might use this once.... NAAA
So instagram bought hyperlaps...
for the price to performance phone cameras are going to kill point and shoots one day
It's getting close.
Yeah, 4 years ago.
That's the most laziest hyperlapse comparison i have ever seen. Please never compare anything again
