Contrary to American popular opinion, you can't appeal UK final judgements in US courts. The US case was a huge PR win for Depp because it was on TV but it did not change the fact that he was proven in court to have assaulted her 12 times.

I’m a mother of 2 sons myself & have taken a female to court over similar but not exclusively the same issues. My son won. Lesson learnt , don’t go for looks, go for their kindness. 100% my experience as well. With a son and a brother. I believe in equality for all. That means women should be held accountable for thier abusive behavior same as men, but that does not happen. It is ironic that more than 50% of abused children are abused by thier mothers but supposedly 95% of domestic violence between spouses is commited by men. Domestic violence includes emotional/intellectual abuse and I would argue this is worse than physical abuse for various reasons. As a strong independent woman, I know that women are not only capable of emotionally abusing a man, they do it all the time but never get held accountable for it. The worse ones are the narcissist who play the victim when they are the ones committng the abuse.
I watched the entire trial. Johnny had the evidence, and AH did not. Thank God Johnny came out of the relationship alive and got his justice ! ❤ 😊

I went through DV. I had lots of photos and trips to the hospital. He always went with me. I was clumsy or I fell. I had a lot of “falls.” The last time I went they called the police. I had more damage than if I fell. I was never so happy to see the police in my life. I got my divorce and a large settlement. (He was pissed.). His parents have money. I got the money though. I had to take him to court for it and we asked for more money. I was pissed. I got what I asked for. I hear he’s on his fourth wife.

Amber’s main mistake in the trial was acting out the emotion of each individual line, rather than the emotion of the overarching ‘scene’… she’s a bad actor so it would have been unconvincing either way, but it could have been less so.
Like when she spoke about going to Australia, she was smiling and being happy because the lines were positive.
“I was going to see the love of my life, I was so happy!”
Then the next line, she is dejected and sad because the line is negative.
Her bad acting would have been less noticeable without the sudden, drastic shifts in delivery. It was jarring, so it drew attention to it.
Not to mention constantly and weirdly replying to questions asked of her by speaking to the jury ie her audience, instead of replying to the lawyer asking the question.
