I’ve never been happier for an actor to come back to acting than I have for SRK. He deserves every bit of appreciation and love that is coming his way. Deepika held her ground and added value to the story! For me, the actor who took the cake was John Abraham. I feel like I haven’t seen him in years as well. He acted so very well as the villain, and yet he was also someone that I empathized with as well. Some of the action sequences did seem forced and like you put it, “silly.” On the whole though, the movie was just what this world needed at this time! And the cameo!! Uff! Brought chills down my spine. The one scene where SRK steps on said cameo spoke volumes to me. This is about being there for kne another and it goes beyond celluloid. Two superstars coming together is another message this world needs right now!

I loved the backstory of John. John stood tall on the film with SRK who has so much screen presence where Tiger failed in front of Hrithik in War. Best choice to cast him as villain.
These were exactly my thoughts watching the film. Couldn't have said it in better words myself. The VFX issue comes down to the budget of the film. Even mega budget Indian films don't have the amount of money required too off the required quality of VFX in such action set pieces.

This is a very average film being showered love by critics purely as a rebellion against the "Boycott Gang". Both are extremes and make a viewer confused and disappointed in the end. The screenplay is so bad and dumb that if there was Tiger Shroff in place of SRK, every critic would be bashing it. I still have hopes for the SPY UNIVERSE, but they need to hire more competent writers/directors from South Cinema.
With all due respect, what Salman did here in Pathan was no less than what he once did in kuch kuch hota h (for the movie and SRK's career.... not trying to overpower the shahdom but Tiger truly elevated the scale of the movie... I always knew her reviews are either paid or motivated. Her review of Pathaan just proves it. It's a terribly made movie with comical sequences and utterly unprofessional special effects. You remove SRK from the equation and you will have ane embarassent of a movie. Forgot to add how they shamelessly copied sequence, location, and Deepikas looks from the movie black widow. If this is a good movie I have no hopes for Bollywood and there is lot to think about intelligence of large part of our population.
I am a huge fan of SRK. That doesn't mean I would support crappy movies. The two film reviews I follow were The Film Companion and Tried and Refused production. And this time both Anumol aka jammypants4 from Tried and Refused production and Anupama Chopra from Film Companion came together to make a video to create a positive vibe for Pathan. They are huge SRK fans themselves, one of them even has close ties with SRK himself. But sometimes the reviews are completely misleading. I understand SRK hasn't had a release for 4 years. I understand Hindi Cinema hasn't had a blockbuster in some time. I understand it's hard work and there is a lot of blood and sweat put into making this film. But misleading movie reviews are not the way to get people to watch the film. This really diminishes the credibility of movie reviews. I watched it in a packed theatre and I am sure everyone in the theatre shared the same sentiments as I did. Despite purposely having absolutely no expectations, keeping an open mind, this was a thoroughly disappointing movie, and I feel very angry that these channels who are supposed to give honest movie reviews are misleading the masses. If you don't like the movie, just don't review it, but don't be forced to create a positive press for a sub-standard movie. Honestly there wasn't even a single second in the movie which I felt was good. SRK looked much better in the success meet Of Pathan released a few days ago.

Taken is a great action movie. Pathan is basically a higher budget baghi. Theme is similar with the usual impossible scenarios you can't relate ever in the usual Indian action movies . The flamboyant attitude of Indian heroes is still there even in action movies just like their romantic ones.
B- grade story, C- grade acting, E grade graphics (even Adipurush is better if we consider the train sequence) - thanks to the reviews and the PMO coming to last minute rescue- movie could earn a lot of revenue. If anything worked for the movie's favor - it is Deepika's wardrobe (not her acting or action), and we see the most trusted reviewers shamelessly promoting SRK's return to action! Salman may have brought his fans (arrogance lovers) to the theatre, bringing 56 inch someone would have worked more (even if you think from a age-vs-action capability point of view)!😁
Pathaan is a mindblowing action film. It has everything ... humour, patriotic dialogues, chase scenes, songs, hand to hand combat, explosions, twist & turns, good BGM, breathtaking locations, charming star casts etc. Action matches Hollywood standards certainly. Whether be bike, train, plane, helicopters, Ice Skates, truck or car chase, each one is pictured so beautifully that inspite of the fact that we know it's unbelievable, it's fascinating and captivating. Good VFX. Shah Rukh Khan .. OMG! At the age of 57, his performance as an action hero is just unbelievable. So stylish & convincing! Yes! SRK is back with a bang!! Even John Abraham & Deepika are apt for the roles. On the whole... a paisa vasool spy thriller!

I thought the story and actions were completely illogical and stupid. They were doing just about anything. They were jumping on a train as if it was a trampoline...vfx was so bad at so many places. *UNDERWHELMING STORY PACKED WITH THE COOLEST GIFT PACKAGING* I am a big big fan still the movie at best seem average to me with glimpses of KGF 2 (Again Below average movie) headshots and Appearance BGM's. It was just an ode to fans of SRK but story line is a underwhelming, one can see. The twist and turns (treachery) can be seen from a distance. WAR had a better storyline than Pathaan. RRR BGM's and storyline or for example pushpa the story, the tuning flows like water. Pathaan seem damp at places (romantic angles) Pathaan seems stretched, Action seems forced at places. No doubt the extravaganza SRK brings with his charismatic power is unleashed like a beast still power was an average flick. ITS PURELY A FAN SERVICE. The perfect combo of the former and Story line was last seen in VIKRAM the Massiest classic. My review : 2.5/5 (could give .5 extra for the amazing cameo of Salman and the duos bromance) P.S : John's smirk is boring now7

You are not a nasty or loud caps-lock critic who relishes when people fail. And yes, you are allowed to enjoy an SRK film, even it is pretending to be in the “so bad it’s good” category. After a self-imposed 4 year hiatus is SRK exempt from being challenged by critics to be the best actor he can be? As another loyal SRK fan myself, I implore you to use your friendship with him and your platform to push him to seek roles he is suitable for. He will listen to you hopefully. Am I the only one who imagines how he would interpret Walter White from Breaking Bad? Isn’t that one of his favorite shows? What an irresistibly delicious possibility. This is a laughably long shot but I wish he would get a clue from Isabelle Huppert (who chased Claire Denis to give her the role in White Material), Brad Pitt (who to this day keeps trying in vain to be involved in a Kurt Kobain biopic), Joan Crawford (without whose persistence “What ever happened to Baby Jane?” wouldn’t have existed) or even closer to home Aamir Khan (who misguidedly but sincerely tried his hand at playing Forrest Gump). His looks, base of the voice while delivering something serious was captivating. 4) Deepika performed too well. When glamour is required she done it well, when action required she done well.More than a shadow for the hero, her performance made the audience convinced she was a having a important role in the movie. 5) Action sequences was amazing especially climax fight sequence of SRK and John. I just loved it. 6) People who have mugged up James Bond and Mission Impossible movies, will feel not unique while watching Pathaan but Siddharth Anand added the ingredients required to entertain the audience. Negativity of the Movie. 1) VFX could have been better. In certain action sequence it was quite evident. 2) John Abhram screen presence was less. More focus went to SRK and Deepika. The story should jab focused on how John Abhram character plans for the mission etc etc. 3) Songs were average. Overall a perfect comeback for King Khan at the box office

I’m sorry but I find this review problematic. I feel this whole ‘King Khan is back’ or ‘SRK comeback’ is just a desperate marketing strategy that reviewers are perpetuating and perhaps making the YRF marketing and PR team very happy for increasing their ROI. This is in view of a video previously released on ‘save Bollywood’ on what needs to be done to salvage the crumbling industry and one of it is not to focus films on sellable actors and yet this review and many others are doing just that and falling into the same trap especially when the movie’s content as analysed isn’t up to par. Content should reign not actors, otherwise we will never mend what is required in Bollywood - humility.

I loved the backstory of John. John stood tall on the film with SRK who has so much screen presence where Tiger failed in front of Hrithik in War. Best choice to cast him as villain.

The VFX issue comes down to the budget of the film. Even mega budget Indian films don't have the amount of money required too off the required quality of VFX in such action set pieces.

Direction, Story, Screenplay, Dialogues, Actions, Acting and music.. It seems that after covid lockdown and it's impact during last 3 years this is the first time when we can see happy faces after viewing experience of this srk starer.. The movie surely will bring the lost glory of bollywood...Shahrukh Khan is fabulous ... JhOn Abraham is fantastic.. Depika pudokone is very impressive... And dialogues by Abbas tyrewala are outstanding..

I have been Mr. Khan's fan since 1989. I was almost 10 at that time. I don't remember a day or a minute when I was out of love for Shah Rukh Khan. He is an inspiration for me he is like that best friend who never turns your back to you. Any emotion and SRK teaches you something. Romance, patriotism, teamwork, one sided love, therapy and action. Thank you for being around Me. Khan, you made my world a better place.

This is a very average film being showered love by critics purely as a rebellion against the "Boycott Gang". Both are extremes and make a viewer confused and disappointed in the end. The screenplay is so bad and dumb that if there was Tiger Shroff in place of SRK, every critic would be bashing it.
I still have hopes for the SPY UNIVERSE, but they need to hire more competent writers/directors from South Cinema.

I always knew her reviews are either paid or motivated. Her review of Pathaan just proves it. It's a terribly made movie with comical sequences and utterly unprofessional special effects. You remove SRK from the equation and you will have ane embarassent of a movie.
Forgot to add how they shamelessly copied sequence, location, and Deepikas looks from the movie black widow. If this is a good movie I have no hopes for Bollywood and there is lot to think about intelligence of large part of our population.

I am a huge fan of SRK. That doesn't mean I would support crappy movies. The two film reviews I follow were The Film Companion and Tried and Refused production. And this time both Anumol aka jammypants4 from Tried and Refused production and Anupama Chopra from Film Companion came together to make a video to create a positive vibe for Pathan. They are huge SRK fans themselves, one of them even has close ties with SRK himself. But sometimes the reviews are completely misleading. I understand SRK hasn't had a release for 4 years. I understand Hindi Cinema hasn't had a blockbuster in some time. I understand it's hard work and there is a lot of blood and sweat put into making this film. But misleading movie reviews are not the way to get people to watch the film. This really diminishes the credibility of movie reviews. I watched it in a packed theatre and I am sure everyone in the theatre shared the same sentiments as I did. Despite purposely having absolutely no expectations, keeping an open mind, this was a thoroughly disappointing movie, and I feel very angry that these channels who are supposed to give honest movie reviews are misleading the masses. If you don't like the movie, just don't review it, but don't be forced to create a positive press for a sub-standard movie. Honestly there wasn't even a single second in the movie which I felt was good. SRK looked much better in the success meet Of Pathan released a few days ago.

Had to compare with tiger as she does not like salman, both tigers were much much better thn pathan. Eg ISI agent zoya gets beaten and bleeding but no tear and fights, rubia on the other hand is in pain when police handculf her lol. Aakhir mein tiger ko hi aana pada pathan ko bacane.

One can watch only for Shahrukh Khan. Period.

Taken is a great action movie. Pathan is basically a higher budget baghi. Theme is similar with the usual impossible scenarios you can't relate ever in the usual Indian action movies . The flamboyant attitude of Indian heroes is still there even in action movies just like their romantic ones.
B- grade story, C- grade acting, E grade graphics (even Adipurush is better if we consider the train sequence) - thanks to the reviews and the PMO coming to last minute rescue- movie could earn a lot of revenue. If anything worked for the movie's favor - it is Deepika's wardrobe (not her acting or action), and we see the most trusted reviewers shamelessly promoting SRK's return to action! Salman may have brought his fans (arrogance lovers) to the theatre, bringing 56 inch someone would have worked more (even if you think from a age-vs-action capability point of view)!😁
Pathaan is a mindblowing action film. It has everything ... humour, patriotic dialogues, chase scenes, songs, hand to hand combat, explosions, twist & turns, good BGM, breathtaking locations, charming star casts etc. Action matches Hollywood standards certainly. Whether be bike, train, plane, helicopters, Ice Skates, truck or car chase, each one is pictured so beautifully that inspite of the fact that we know it's unbelievable, it's fascinating and captivating. Good VFX.
Shah Rukh Khan .. OMG! At the age of 57, his performance as an action hero is just unbelievable. So stylish & convincing! Yes! SRK is back with a bang!! Even John Abraham & Deepika are apt for the roles.

I thought the story and actions were completely illogical and stupid. They were doing just about anything. They were jumping on a train as if it was a trampoline...vfx was so bad at so many places. *UNDERWHELMING STORY PACKED WITH THE COOLEST GIFT PACKAGING*
I am a big big fan still the movie at best seem average to me with glimpses of KGF 2 (Again Below average movie) headshots and Appearance BGM's. It was just an ode to fans of SRK but story line is a underwhelming, one can see. The twist and turns (treachery) can be seen from a distance. WAR had a better storyline than Pathaan.
RRR BGM's and storyline or for example pushpa the story, the tuning flows like water. Pathaan seem damp at places (romantic angles) Pathaan seems stretched, Action seems forced at places. No doubt the extravaganza SRK brings with his charismatic power is unleashed like a beast still power was an average flick.
ITS PURELY A FAN SERVICE.
The perfect combo of the former and Story line was last seen in VIKRAM the Massiest classic.
My review : 2.5/5 (could give .5 extra for the amazing cameo of Salman and the duos bromance)

My absolute favorite critic! This is breaking my heart. I love how you try to see the good in every film and are always handing out A’s for effort. You are not a nasty or loud caps-lock critic who relishes when people fail. And yes, you are allowed to enjoy an SRK film, even it is pretending to be in the “so bad it’s good” category. After a self-imposed 4 year hiatus is SRK exempt from being challenged by critics to be the best actor he can be? As another loyal SRK fan myself, I implore you to use your friendship with him and your platform to push him to seek roles he is suitable for. He will listen to you hopefully. Am I the only one who imagines how he would interpret Walter White from Breaking Bad? Isn’t that one of his favorite shows? What an irresistibly delicious possibility. This is a laughably long shot but I wish he would get a clue from Isabelle Huppert (who chased Claire Denis to give her the role in White Material), Brad Pitt (who to this day keeps trying in vain to be involved in a Kurt Kobain biopic), Joan Crawford (without whose persistence “What ever happened to Baby Jane?” wouldn’t have existed) or even closer to home Aamir Khan (who misguidedly but sincerely tried his hand at playing Forrest Gump). SRK pretends to be sincere and gives us gratuitous abs when what we really want is for him to give the performance of a lifetime that he is capable of. The next phase of his career should have been on OTT platforms which allow stories to be more novelistic. I will now depart with my delusional SRK-fangirl flavored rendition of Molly Bloom’s infamous monologue. SRK as the righteously bitter Walter White? YES! SRK as the whinging but menacing Tom Wambsgans in Succession? YES! SRK as the foul-mouthed spin doctor Malcolm Tucker in the Thick of It? YES! SRK as Don Draper? YES!

A very sub-par movie jury-rigged for srk fans only and nothing more. The VFX is so cheesy that majority of the action scenes never felt realistic. Everything is wielded to earn all the cheddar but no substance.

Positivity of the Movie…
1) SRK introduction followed by the action sequence was just goosebumps moment that being delivered..
2) SRK who never seen in a full fledge action movie, Pathaan answered. He put his all efforts to make the actions interesting. His swag , his dialogue delivery, i cannot able to take my eyes from him.
3) John as the antagonist. He nailed it. His looks, base of the voice while delivering something serious was captivating.
4) Deepika performed too well. When glamour is required she done it well, when action required she done well.More than a shadow for the hero, her performance made the audience convinced she was a having a important role in the movie.
5) Action sequences was amazing especially climax fight sequence of SRK and John. I just loved it.
6) People who have mugged up James Bond and Mission Impossible movies, will feel not unique while watching Pathaan but Siddharth Anand added the ingredients required to entertain the audience.
Negativity of the Movie.
1) VFX could have been better. In certain action sequence it was quite evident.
2) John Abhram screen presence was less. More focus went to SRK and Deepika. The story should jab focused on how John Abhram character plans for the mission etc etc.
3) Songs were average.
Overall a perfect comeback for King Khan at the box office

I’m sorry but I find this review problematic. I feel this whole ‘King Khan is back’ or ‘SRK comeback’ is just a desperate marketing strategy that reviewers are perpetuating and perhaps making the YRF marketing and PR team very happy for increasing their ROI. This is in view of a video previously released on ‘save Bollywood’ on what needs to be done to salvage the crumbling industry and one of it is not to focus films on sellable actors and yet this review and many others are doing just that and falling into the same trap especially when the movie’s content as analysed isn’t up to par. Content should reign not actors, otherwise we will never mend what is required in Bollywood - humility.
