    You know what would be cool… you know how people set up several glasses of water to make music on the rim of the glass… but do it with this water in it

    I wonder if they are capable of constant light emitting? Even dim light requires signinficant energy consumption. Have you ever tried to constantly disturb them to see after how long they "run out"?

      I'd like to know more about what they eat and need to survive and thrive, like salt content, nutrients, sunlight amount etc. Basically, any and all info would help tremendously :).

      Alpha90 do you turn purple when you drink grape juice?
      The digestive tract does not control skin pigmentation.

    • @brianpage9792

      @@saltedsins However if you drink too much carrot juice you will turn orange. So this isnt an entirely asinine question to ask.

    Hi fcmovie do you mind to have a slight discussion with me? We are from Japan and we are breeding a similar bio-luminescent dinoflagellates. We would appreciate it a lot if you can share us a little knowledge :)

      Thanks for your prompt reply! We're cultivating pyrocystis fusiformis! Is it the same as the one you breed?
      Can I have your email please so that we can discuss further from there if you don't mind that is!

    Hi fcmovie, this is really cool. Im just wondering if you could make like glowing kind of inks out of this? Sorry, I am not a scientist, I am a fashion designer, and was just thinking how cool it would be if you could use the glowing part in textiles. What do you think? Or could it only work when its liquid?

    • @fcmovie
      @fcmovie  6 років тому

      Hello Eva ! Pyrocystis only live in marine water and glow only few minutes a day. For textiles, it could be possible to use luminescent chemicals. If you want more information, contact me by email : fcmovie@gmail.com.

      Well, this and iowaska or shrooms, of course, with some kick-ass bass drums made of taunt animal skins. You might be surprised how much fun they had! Then they had to develop agriculture and non-pagan religions; it was pretty much downhill from there since suddenly they had to work their asses off or starve...
