I like David for Phoebe because he is as quirky as Phoebe. - Edit - Plus I think they match better physically. Height. And Paul Rudd looks too young for her.
I ship David and Phoebe more than Mike and Phoebe, not be cause of height or age, but because of things make does that makes Mike unworthy. If you've seen the whole series, think of the thing Phoebe really wants, but for the longest time he refuses to give her, even if it means losing her, and think of "Precious." Those two things taint Mike in my eyes. Going back to season 1, David was willing to give up going to Minsk to be with Phoebe even though they'd known each other a very short time. No, Ross doesn't have a point. He's a sexist pig and this is arguably his worst episode. If a male nanny is credentialed with good references, there's no problem. And a manny is less likely to run off with or cheat with the husband. If you think male nannies are mostly in it to abuse children, that says more about YOU.
I liked to consider myself a sensitive guy. But I’m gonna have to go with Ross in this episode, for me anyway, as a man it’s deeply uncomfortable interacting with another man who is far more sensitive than I am. “There is sensitive, and there’s too sensitive.” 😂
Ross might have been really annoying this episode but I think it was worth the ending of it bc you get to understand a little bit more of this crazy masculine toxic side of him. Idk it makes him more complex than the other friends characters besides pheobe
Sorry but this doesn't sit well with me. Phoebe literally kissed another man and no one says anything about this. Ross makes a fuss about his nanny and the whole comment section is about it (I know he's wrong). Why does no one say anything about Phoebe? I love Phoebe and Ross but there is always hatred towards Ross and almost never towards the other characters
I think it’s somehow worse that this episode was the 200th episode. Like… for such a huge milestone, the episode wasn’t very special (number 100 was Phoebe giving birth!) and none of the characters were particularly strong. Monica and Rachel were the least offensive overall, but didn’t really stand out that much. Chandler’s insecurity storyline was sort of funny, but I feel like they didn’t do too well with it. Joey paying for preschool level lessons with the puppets was too much of a dumb guy caricature to be enjoyable or believable. Ross was obviously too dickish. Phoebe had cheated. And the play fight between Mike and David was just embarrassing. While I don’t necessarily find this episode to be the worst, it’s definitely one of the low points for me.
Back when I watched the show, I actually liked Ross as a character. I didn't even know about the whole "Ross is an asshole" internet trend, we didn't have social media back then. THIS episode, however, made me hate him profoundly. As a man who had a really rough time growing up for not conforming to classic masculinity (I think that's what made me like Ross as a character back then, he was an example of a man who didn't fit the "masculine" mold of the time, and he turned out okay (or at least I thought so back then in my 18 yo head). That episode, however, shattered every good opinions I had on him. I remember being VERY mad at the episode, saying he betrayed everything he SHOULD stand up for. In the end, he's just the everyday nerd - he VALUES toxic/classic masculinity but he just CAN'T perform it well. I stopped liking Ross with this episode, Sandy is 1000x the man Ross will never be. And in hindsight, it's a good thing I did - rewatching the show in my late 30s made me realize what an obnoxious DICK he was the whole time.
Oh man this episode. Love Ross but this is his worst episode imo. He was just being so annoying and unreasonable; the man is taking great care of your child but you're mad because he's a man 😐. Kind of upset that Rachel let Ross get his way with that excuse that he's "uncomfortable", if there was any time for her to stand her ground, that was it 😭. Don't like how this episode was resolved because even though Ross' behavior is "explained", the man was still fired. Also, I do like David but Mike is superior to me. He just matches better with Phoebe.
I already hated Ross as a person, but this is the episode where the nail hit the coffin. His argument was solely based on his views of (toxic) masculinity. And knowing how his dad is, it makes no sense why he'd think this way. I guess we saw a glimpse of this when Ben wanted to play with Barbies but trying to belittle Sandy just cuz he's good with babies and pursue this as a career. Honestly, just throw him away cuz he is straight-up trash.
The way his dad treated him actually makes perfect sense for why Ross behaved the way he did. Ross was basically taught that a man being feminine is wrong by his dad. Ross had a bunch of feminine qualities that his dad belittled him for, so he basically got all that from his dad. Not trying to justify Ross, but this is what happens when parents suck at their job.
Did u even watched the end of the episode? Lmao, while u say "Ross is trash throw him away" Joe loves him and already put him on the top of best character once in season 6
Toxic masculinity again. Damn, woman, stop with this men hate already. It’s weird when men dominate the programmers world, but its not ok when women dominate the teaching world, nursing jobs and etc? Double standards much? That’s why I don’t like over sensitive people too. And I don’t like left wing people from the usa(i’m not from An English speakingcountry.) (and I don’t like the right, if I’m being honest, but they are just too religious which I’m not). But lefties are soooo sensitive, so offended by everything, they are just not fun. They are constantly whining, complaining, everything is “toxic masculinity”, men are baaaad, and etc. stop whining already dammit. Ross doesn’t like sensitive people and thinks it’s weird. Yes, he’s wrong, but that’s how he was brought up. Take the joke and stop whining. Or maybe find some real problems in your world to complain about. I can invite you to my country, you can look what we struggle with.
Give Ross a break, he explains at the end why he is uncomfortable in that situation and it’s very well portrayed… the only word you can say these days is toxic to everything like you don’t have flaws and feelings 😂😂

I don't know why people are so angry at Ross. Yes, he is an asshole in this ep, but let's be real, most people wouldn't hire a man to watch their kids.

I guess I'm in the minority but Mike >>>>> David. David was alright for a bit but long term Mike is so much better for Pheobe.
Mike >>>>>>>>>> David
Ross might have been really annoying this episode but I think it was worth the ending of it bc you get to understand a little bit more of this crazy masculine toxic side of him. Idk it makes him more complex than the other friends characters besides pheobe
It would've helped if he actually became nicer to Sandy in the end. Like Chandler evolving from a guy who used to have commitment issues.
YESS phoebe is a bad friend but people look past it bc it’s “savage and funny” but nobody would ACTUALLY want her as a friend with how blunt she is
But Mike and Phoebe were not exclusive.?
It was 20 bucks, relax.
Certainly a better #200 than a certain _other_ one I could name...
Obviously Ross is in the wrong but to be honest I did find Sandy a little creepy
But forreal
False
Nah tbf Ross IS a good father
He is to be fair, when we see it😅
When was the last time we even saw Ben? I don't think we even see him at any point in the rest of the series
@@MysticClaws100 bruh we just didn't see Ben in the last two seasons AND he was still mentionned
@@UriosEditz when was he mentioned? Plus, since Emma's born, Ross doesn't spend any time with his son anymore
that's a reach
I hate Ross in this episode
Ross was 100% correct. It’s weird.
Why is it weird? And a genuine reason, not a "that's a woman's job"
I hated Ross’s reaction to the Nanny
This is the only EP I really got the ross hate
Absolutely hated Ross in this episode. Kinda felt outta character tbh.
His behavior is definitely in character. Remember how he acted when Ben played with a Barbie?
I already hated Ross as a person, but this is the episode where the nail hit the coffin. His argument was solely based on his views of (toxic) masculinity. And knowing how his dad is, it makes no sense why he'd think this way. I guess we saw a glimpse of this when Ben wanted to play with Barbies but trying to belittle Sandy just cuz he's good with babies and pursue this as a career. Honestly, just throw him away cuz he is straight-up trash.
Yeah, the episode makes it clear that Ross is in the wrong.
And I don’t like left wing people from the usa(i’m not from
An English speakingcountry.) (and I don’t like the right, if I’m being honest, but they are just too religious which I’m not).
@@tmm4195 Ross became the same when he couldn't stand Ben having a barbie
Give Ross a break, he explains at the end why he is uncomfortable in that situation and it’s very well portrayed… the only word you can say these days is toxic to everything like you don’t have flaws and feelings 😂😂
no
This is one of those eps that doesnt age well lol
Why not, it’s great
@@Vale9118Most of the time when someone says this they mean, “my humor has not aged well” or, “this came out before I was born and I have been told it is not funny anymore”. 😇
Ross making it really hard for me to like him in this episode...
Why? Because he does not feel confortable letting a man alone with his daughter... yeah, Ross is so mean 🙄
@@mariramos9982 Sandy's great with Emma and Ross said it himself but he still got fired
One of the reasons why Ross is my least favorite character in the show.
You should react to 'Episodes' after Friends
One of those épisodes that did NOT age well lol
Earlyyyy ✨
I forgot how much I hate Ross in this episode!!!!
You got very angry in the full patreon reaction.
Getting angry at fictional (non-existent) characters sounds more like a case for therapy tbh (than Ross not crying)
Please, it’s actually worrying.
Do you have any idea how condescending you come across in all of your comments?
classic SDE right here
I don't know why people are so angry at Ross. Yes, he is an asshole in this ep, but let's be real, most people wouldn't hire a man to watch their kids.
Why not?
Exactly.
Well I would. Why wouldn't I?
And even more, WHAT REASON IS THERE to not hire a man to watch my kids?
@@AlexSkylarkPeople consistently operate from dated and sexist models of "all men are predators".
I hate Ross.
Ross could be wrong, but being honest, this nanny is creepy, if this would have happened in real life, we would think that this guy love too much kiss and who knows what more
..?
??
???
Wouldn't think that at all.
Are you also going to react to the Friends reunion? Cause you definitely should👍
